- rokia43100Amazing experience worthy of recognitionAmazing country! Darren was an awesome tour guide partnered with a professional and courteous driver. We learned so much about beautiful Iceland from him in the very short period we were there. Worth the trip and worth revisiting.
- 450terencep00Great experience.Excellent experience a nice walk across the lava. Then lowered down inside for a walk around. The a lovely hot soup at the base camp. Loved it.
- Moonwolfhowl00Fun!!!Darren our Tour Guide and Helgi our driver really made our tour special. He was fun and entertaining while still taking their job seriously. They made sure everyone had a spectacular time while keeping us on schedule in a friendly and professional manner.
- Bubbly-00100Enjoyable TourVery informative tour, great stops and certainly would recommend. Pick up was simple enough and everything ran like clockwork.
- Danielle Z00Good tour for the highlights of IcelandThe tour itself was good. Enjoyable sights but the tour guide was only just ok. She honestly put us to sleep during the bus ride. There could’ve been way more information of value for what we were seeing. And when we got off the bus she’d say she was walking us somewhere and she would never even wait for you to get off the bus LOL. Regardless, glad we went and could see Iceland outside of the city.
- Trip47398300Amazing and awe-inspiringThis is an amazing excursion! You and a small group are lowered into a dormant volcano, where you can climb among the boulders and take in the amazing colors the eruption left behind. It is awe-inspiring and a little scary, but so worth it! The hike to the volcano was cold and windy, but the gravel path made it fairly easy to navigate. All of the guides were friendly, enthusiastic, and engaging. We had a terrific, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend!
- jakeabm00Book now!Darren and Helgi are the bees freaking knees. Great tour to get a bunch of cool sites in for a short time period.
- Zech B00Organized Way to See the Golden CircleThis was a great experience and organized way to see the Golden Circle in Iceland. If you are visiting over the winter like we were, driving yourself can be intimidating and I highly recommend this tour to see some of the most famous tourism sites in Iceland.
- 740irvingb00Reykjavík Golden Circle on Gray lineThe time spent at each was good. Amazing views and best of all a great tour guide and driver. Helgi our driver was professional and courteous. Smooth ride. Darren our guide gave us colorful details of each stop, the things we passed snd comments about Iceland and the people. Great job Helgi and Darren I would want the two of them to be available for others to enjoy
- Poushali G00Brilliant tripIt was a great tour. The driver was superb and he explained the history of Iceland very nicely while in the bus. The waterfalls were majestic and beach was very beautiful
- 371aayushs00NO SERVICE PROVIDED EVEN AFTER REMINDER & FULL PAYMENTSIMPLY PATHETIC - THEY ARE NOT BOTHERED TO PROVIDE SERVICE AFTER RECEIVING THE PAYMENT. WE HAD OUR AIRPORT TRANSFER BOOKED FOR EARLY MORNING 5 AM AND NOBODY TURNED UP FOR THE SAME. THEIR EMERGENCY NO. IS USELESS TOO AS NOBODY PICKED UP TO ASSIST US
- J6570NRmichaels00A well organised and interesting tourDarren and Helgi provided us with a great trip. Darren was a fantastic guide, he had a good clear voice and provided a lot of interesting information along the way as well as some comical anecdotes. He was clear in his instructions which made the trip run very smoothly. Highly recommended tour
- miffytastic00Great tour, just what we wanted in the ‘standard’ golden circle dayDarren and Helgi - guide and driver were great. Looked after us, informative chat and nice atmosphere on the bus. Timekeeping was good too which was important for our day. Saw all we wanted to. Thanks
- 589liaj00Wonderful and Informative Golden Circle TourDarren and Helgi were very nice and gave a lot of information. We had plenty of time at each stop! Felt like we got the “inside scoop” at each location!
- Explore57796000Great experienceDarren & Helgi the driver was excellent. Darren gave great Iceland history and get it fun. I enjoyed the day and drive back to hotel safe. I will recommend this tour! Kidos guys!!! Nicholson

We waited for 45 minutes in the cold at the correct bus stop with three young children for our pre-booked transfer from the airport and the bus failed to arrive. On calling the customer services line it appeared that the Gray Line rep in the arrivals hall hadn’t seen us and because we were the only people due on that bus, she had told the driver not to stop at the pick up and to drive back to Reykjavik instead. When the rep found us at the bus stop she kept saying “it’s not my fault and it’s not the company’s fault”. The company website says: ‘staff will be ... ready to guide guests to the bus stop if needed’. Choose another bus from the airport !

The booking you made online from our Airport Express page will indicate how to use our service with a short video that you may have missed as all relevant instructions are there. In it you are asked to stop by our staff inside the terminal and check your booking and the availability of our coach entering the parking area. We will not summon a coach into the parking area if no passenger has made contact with our staff inside the terminal building. If you had approached our staff before leaving the terminal the coach would have been summoned.
It is regrettable that you were not satisfied with our service and offer of compensation and still use your tickets an hour later.
Our sincere apologies for the inconvenience caused

At the airport a representative gave incorrect directions to find our Grayline shuttle to our hotels. The driver was kind enough to turn the heat down when we asked. We’d all dressed in layers for this weather.
Upon arrival he set the luggage down. Not asking whose luggage was whose he began to drive away. My friend was last to get her luggage and noticed another bag was left there. All of our hotel’s people were gone into the hotel. My friend pounded on the side of the bus to tell the driver he’d been about to leave another vacationers luggage there. In the Street !

We waited for just over an hour for the bus to arrive and leave for what we thought was our hotel. It didn't drop us at the hotel. It went to a central bus depot and then they couldn't find the list to forward us on to the hotels. It's a 45 minute drive from the airport to the city but after clearing customs it was 2 hours and 40 minutes until we reached our hotel. Not ideal.

Our flight was delayed 17 hours due to a medical emergency. We notified GrayLine immediately when the delay was evident. GrayLine acknowledged our delay. Yet, when we arrived at 1 am in the morning no one was there. We ended up getting a ride from a different bus company.
When we requested a refund it was denied. We appealed and it was still denied. We were told to try to get a refund through our travel insurance.
With that experience we will never use GrayLine for anything.

thank you lsarnecki,
It is truly regrettable that your flight was delayed and we were not able to accommodate you on available departure.
Our scheduled departures are according to flight arrival schedule and may not be available when flights are that much delayed and during the night time hours when flights do not normally land.
I would like to review your claim for a refund if you can send an e-mail to refund@grayline.is with your booking number and e-mail exchange

Definitely recommend! Reliable, on time, stress and worry free!
They picked us up from the airport and had a Gray Line sign in the airport so it was easy to find them. They dropped us right outside our hotel. We use Gray Line to collect us from our hotel and take us back to the airport on our departure.
Fantastic service I will be recommending to all.

We arrived at the airport pick up area at 12:33pm straight after deboarding our flight (our flight arrived 10 minutes earlier than expected). We were then advised we had just missed the 12:30pm transfer and needed to come back at 13:30pm for the 14:00pm transfer. When we boarded the bus, the driver asked which bus stop we would be getting off at and advised the staff member inside the airport should have advised this information, to which we advised they hadn’t and it’s very bad service. The driver asked why the service was bad and we advised we hadn’t been told any information from the staff member inside and we had to wait 1.5 hours for a bus, when we had given Grayline our flight details when booking, however the driver didn’t respond to these concerns. The transfer took about 45 minutes and no issues occurred, however the driver had to pull over several times as the door wouldn’t shut properly.
Unfortunately our transfer from the hotel to the airport took 1 hour and 35 minutes. We were initially picked in a smaller shuttle bus and driven to a bus depot where we dropped off customers who were going on tours with Gray Line and we waited 20 minutes for other customers to board. After waiting, it took 1 hour and 5 minutes to arrive at the airport as we stopped again for another pick up.
We would definitely not recommend booking transfers with Gray Line and suggest to book alternative transfers.

It was all so easy, someone at the airport to tell you where to go and all the staff were so friendly and helpful. Excellent service from everyone. Pick up was just as easy , no problems at all.

Airport Express was reliable, on time and convenient both to and from Reykjavik. The seats were comfortable and having on-board wifi was a plus. The cost was also less than the competition which was nice. I would definitely use them again when I return to Iceland

Since a taxi from Keflavik Airport to Reykjavik is about $200 US, I was grateful to have been given the heads up by friends who arrived a few days before we did. I went online and bought tickets for this ride and saved more than $100. Although you pick a timeslot, which we missed, it's okay to approximate. Clean buses leave promptly.

Upon arriving in Iceland Grayline travel dropped us in the city centre, which I later discovered was technically booked, although no one on the bus understood this & expected the hotel drop off. But what was disappointing was the lack of care. It was like bye not my problem. So I dreaded the Northern lights tour, which was actually very funny and the gentleman was very informative and nice. However the next night as we didn't see the northern lights a different tour guide was on the bus and she was terrible. Disappeared for over a hour at the end of the tour, even the bus driver honked the horn to find her. So it really is who you get on the day.

The city centre is fairly compact. The buses drop you close by to your hotel. Ask driver they will help you out.

We will need to get to the cruise port from airport. Is that possible? Date is Sept 11th for 2.

Hi Richard. If you select the transfer that includes hotel pickup and dropoff, you will only need to walk about 2 minutes between the hotel and the designated pick-up/drop-off point for Centrum Hotel. If you select the option that only includes terminal pickup and dropoff, the walk between Centrum hotel and Bus stop 6 - Culture House takes approximately 8 minutes.
I book in Hlemmur Square,is there a bus stop near???thankyou
