Since the first time I contacted Arre, he was very helpfull and friendly, always taking care of you, even when you were not with them (with things like providing exchange money for you at a very good rate). Although, I'm not a tours person, at the end I did three tours with them (Danakil/Erta Ale, Simien Mountains and Trigray Churches), and in all of them the quality of the service was excellent. Everything was always perfectly organized and flexible, the food was amazing and in huge amounts, and the crew was very kind! I'll definitely do the tours again with them.

I highly recommend Arre Tours for your trip to Ethiopia! We contacted Arre about our trip to Simien mountains and Danakil Depression (incl. Erta Ale volcano). Each tour took three days. Everything was arranged seamlessly before our arrival, and we received thorough explanations about all aspects of these tours. Arre was incredibly helpful and friendly, answering all our questions about Ethiopia, and not just the trips. He has been in touch with us for the duration of our stay in Ethiopia, making sure that everything is running smoothly. During our three-day trip to the Simien Mountains, we had the opportunity to admire the breathtaking nature and even encounter wildlife, particularly the baboons, but also antelopes, jackals and local birds. Included in our tour price, there was a team to set up the camp every night and a chef who cooked our meals. During the Danakil Depression tour, we were provided with a driver/guide, chef, and food & beverages for the trip. The highlight of the journey was seeing the Erta Ale volcano, which erupts at regular intervals, and we were able to walk very close to it. Overall, this was a truly worthwhile adventure. I met up with Arre on Good Friday and he kindly offered to show me around the town of Aksum. It was really cool to walk around in the old town, see all the monuments and get a lot of information about the history of Aksum/Ethiopia. Arre is a great guy to walk around and talk with and he knows a lot about anything you might wonder. Will definitely reach out to him next time I’m planning a trip to Ethiopia!

Arre is a person who catches your attention from the moment you start chatting with him, as you soon realise what a good person he is. We have just booked two tours with him: 3 days to visit Danakil (currently done from Semera, being a longer trip than from Mekele). It is an incredible experience, especially to hear and see the Erta Ale volcano roaring and roaring up close. The second tour has been hiking in the Siemens Mountaims, a beautiful place with amazing monkeys (Gelada Monkeys). These are not cheap tours, although Arre provides a competitive price, as you are always accompanied by a driver, cook, guide and military personnel to ensure your safety. In addition, Arre contacts you very frequently to see if you have any problems and to ensure that you enjoy the experience. On top of that, we saw him before we left and he provided us with a very beneficial currency exchange.

We met Arrè by chance in Aksum and this was really a huge luck! He organized our trip from Aksum to Debark and from there to Semien Mountains. The whole Trip was just amazing and very well organized. We used Arre for a five day tour recently, and we couldn't have made a better choice. The following days, we took a tour of the Tigray region to several of its best churches. The only complaints we had read online about the Tigray churches were people asking for tips, so Arre graciously offered to take care of tipping local priests and guides for us. We paid him back the total at the end and got to enjoy the moment instead of having to worry about being hassled. When our travel plans changed due to cancelled flights, Arre arranged alternate transportation so we could head to the airport a day early. Even with a last minute change, his professionalism didn't miss a beat. We couldn't have picked a more fun, friendly or professional guide for our time in the Tigray region. I was with Arré for just a couple of days in and around Axum but had an amazing time with him. A friend and I hired him to visit some farmlands in the Tigray region to meet and speak to locals and Arré was incredibly helpful in arranging and translating for us. Arre provided us transportation and tours from Axum to Gheralta Lodge to Mekele. Together, we saw some off-the-beaten-path sites in Axum, Yeha and Debre Damo on the way to Gheralta Lodge, Maryam Korkor, Daniel Korkor and Abune Yemata while staying at Gheralta Lodge, and Abune Abraham on the way to Mekele. Arre was quick to respond to our initial WhatsApp inquiry and put together a great itinerary at a good price. We can highly recommend all the places we visited. Each one is unique and provides spectacular views. Arre is a very friendly and professional young guide with excellent English skills. He went above and beyond to get us a local SIM card and handled all tips per our request. There are so many people expecting tips when you visit the churches of Tigray. We simply didn't want to deal it, so he kindly took care of tipping and we paid him back at the end of our tour. Not having to worry about how much we should tip and who we should tip made the whole experience much better than it would have been otherwise. Arre is a really top-notch guy, and we look forward to working with him again when we return to this beautiful region of Ethiopia.

Arre organized two excellent tours for us. On our first day we went to the Monastery and the Stelen in Axum. Arre knows a lot about the places and how to get there over beautiful pathes. Next day we had an exclusive mini bus ride to Debark. Arre recommend a great and cheap hotel. The trip to Simien (3 days) was very well organized then. Two campgrounds and a decent guide and scout plus an awesome travel group made this trip very special! Arre did a great job organizing everything!

First of all, very good experiance! Perfect organisation, good drivers, nice food, everything went well. Arre was an excellent guide, very friendly, full of ideas and knowledge, guy who knows a lot about his country, he told us stories only locals could know.
