- kvonj20250 contributionsLots of food options and Plenty of fun!!Tour started right on time and my tour guide Ben was super quick with many facts about the city, food culture that blew me away! My favorite spot has to be the Billy Goat Tavern, hands down, such a cool and quirky location.Written March 12, 2025
- H2810DYsantiagog0 contributionsReally enjoyed and learned a lot with DaveWe really enjoyed and learned a lot of Chicago’s architecture with Dave. He seamed to know a lot, but mainly we felt that he enjoyed sharing his knowledge. As he said, if you don’t like architecture, you can’t be a tourist guide in Chicago. I loved the city and Dave reinforced this feeling.Written February 26, 2025
- cristicreme0 contributionsLark, you're a rockstar! We had an amazing time on the tour! Our tour guide, Lark, was so knowledgeable about the architecture and also general history in Chicago. We asked lots of questions as a group, which in turn uncovered even more interesting facts and stories. Would definitely recommend. The timing was spot on, as well. Do note that where you begin is not where you end the tour, but the tour guide should be able to direct you where to go.Written January 21, 2025
- 345ervics0 contributionsThe Chicago Riverwalk Architecture Tour with DaveVisiting Chicago from Atlanta, we decided to explore the city through its famous Riverwalk and booked a tour guided by Dave. Let me tell you, it was an unforgettable experience! Dave was an absolute gem of a guide. His passion for Chicago’s architecture was infectious, and his storytelling made the city’s history come alive. From iconic landmarks like Marina City to the towering Willis Tower, every building along the Riverwalk seemed to have a story, and Dave told each one with such clarity and enthusiasm that even someone with no background in architecture (like me!) could appreciate the artistry and history. The Riverwalk itself was stunning—a perfect blend of modern design and natural beauty. Walking along the river, surrounded by Chicago’s breathtaking skyline, was a feast for the senses. The mix of vibrant restaurants, quaint bridges, and serene water views made it feel like I was stepping into a postcard. Dave’s knowledge, humor, and approachable nature turned the tour into more than just a sightseeing trip—it was an experience that left me feeling connected to the city. If you’re visiting Chicago, I can’t recommend this tour enough. Thank you, Dave, for making our first Chicago adventure so memorable!Written December 31, 2024

- gioggi1230 contributionsWhat a wonderful tour!Dave gave us an amazing tour. Despite the cold weather (and it was really freezing) it was our favorite tour-activity in Chicago. We learned so much and enjoyed it so much. An unforgettable memory! Giovanna and BrendanWritten November 28, 2024
- SueC8320 contributionsAn exceptional tour!!Dave was very knowledgeable and pointed out many interesting things along the way. I especially loved that he pointed out the various bricks in the Tribune building. I never would have noticed them if he hadn't told us! Also, he appreciated that he walked at a comfortable pace and pointed out the bathrooms along the way. All in all, an excellent tour guide.Written October 25, 2024

- GrandTour153420690900 contributionsEngaging Architecture Tour with Isabel! This was one of my favorite activities while visiting Chicago. A big shout out to my tour guide, Isabel who made the experience so entertaining and engaging. She weaved together the facts and stories with her own humor at each stop and spoke in a loud, clear voice, making her easy to hear. The day of my tour was also very hot and sunny, and Isabel led us to areas where we could sit and/or be in the shade as she told us more about Chicago architecture before continuing on the walk. All in all, a great tour for those who love to feel like they’ve learned something while visiting a city.Written September 2, 2024

- TravellerMike1230 contributionsVery good walking tour of waterfront architectureOverall nice history lesson on the Chicago waterfront and how it has developed over the years. My wife and I are 60 and the walk was fine in terms of endurance. Ben did a good job of trying to engage the group throughout the walk. The weather was beautiful which also helped.Written August 9, 2024

We had a wonderful time with our guide, Kevin Kelliher, on the Mobs and Haunts Walking Tour! His ability to tell the stories about the various landmarks we visited was exceptional and he kept the whole group engaged throughout the hour and a half tour. We were able to explore approximately 10 locations during the tour and learned a lot about the city of Chicago and those stops.
I highly recommend this tour and hope that you get Kevin as your guide. Great value for the time and money invested.

This is the second time I’ve had the pleasure of attending this tour. I will tell you initially I was very reluctant to do it again because I had already done it before but the tour was great!
Lark brought up completely new information I hadn’t even heard before and took time to answer questions and show us some of Chicagos coolest haunts during spooky season.
If you have interests in the somewhat dark side of Chicago history, I highly recommend this tour and big shout outs again to Lark (awesome job for their FIRST night btw) for showing us around and providing a entertaining and educational experience. This teacher approves!

This walking tour was AMAZING! Our tour guide was phenomenal. (We toured 8/21 @ 7pm, can't remember his name.) We were a pretty large group and he did a great job of keeping everyone engaged and together. His knowledge of the history of Chicago was wonderful, and the fun and scary ghost storied added to the fun. I would recommend for anyone who wants to know some of the Mob history of Chicago and get a little scary chill as well! And a great way to see more of the city as well.

The guide seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic but also long winded and repetitive. We spent 30 minutes at the meeting spot with little ghost or mob tales and it didn't seem like things were going to get any better so we ended up leaving the tour. The tour says 90-120 minutes and the itinerary looks like an hour. When we got there the guide said it would be 2+ hours. It was a cold night so it would have been great to get moving. One adult and 2 12 year olds. Parking behind the hotel was easy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Kevin on the Mobsters and Haunted Mysteries of Chicago Tour. Kevin was very informative, guiding us through the amazing dark history of Chicago.
Kevin guided us to many locations and educated us on the historical relevance of each location in addition to exciting us with many of the stories he told.
His descriptions were clear and vivid helping us to imagine the many events that have helped to shape this beautiful and historical city.
Thank you Kevin!

Kevin was an EXCELLENT tour guide. He was well spoken, he kept the stories interesting and he had a strong voice which was needed with the city noise and elevated trains. This tour was a wonderful way to learn a little more about Chicago and to stray a slightly off the main streets.

We recently joined the ranks of "Capone's Stroll," and let me tell you, our guide was the real 'Don' of insightful storytelling is Ben! This maestro of mobster knowledge didn't just narrate history; they orchestrated a symphony of Al Capone facts that hit the right notes.
Our guide wasn't just knowledgeable; they were the Capo of Capone Chronicles, turning each historical detail into a revelation that hit harder than a Tommy gun salute. Ben’s insights flowed like bootlegged liquor, leaving us intoxicated with newfound knowledge about Chicago's notorious past.
Kudos to Ben for being the ghostly and macabre master, making history as thrilling as a midnight rendezvous in a secret speakeasy!

A really nice tour to end the day sightseeing and not too much walking. Our guide kept the group together nicely and made sure everyone was safe, projecting well, so all could hear. For someone young he displayed a good amount of knowledge and was able to answer questions with ease. Overall it's easy to recommend this tour. The tour ended downtown, so it was nice not to have to walk all the way back from Buckingham Fountain.
