Tech difficulty during the otherwise perfect tour left guide Billy somewhat at a loss for words or, rather, a larger audience. He took Q&A but obviously we missed minutes of fantastic enthusiastic knowledge of his city (mine too once). That's the only "miss" and against that of the other tour operators whose tours are shorter, this one still excelled. You see more, you hear more but yes, you have to go further to reach their dock. If you are coming in from the suburbs with a car, it's far better in that there is a very reasonable lot beside the dock. If, however, you are in-town, know that you will need to go further to catch the tour but in doing so, save quite a bit over the other operators. The Captain was great too and I recommend Tours and Boats without hesitation (or compensation).

Very good value. The S. Wells St location is convenient for parking and less congested. It was a chilly day, so being on the indoor lower level gave limited visibility of the buildings. It also got noisy as more people came in from the cold so hearing the guide was difficult. 90 minutes was just right to travel the three branches.

I went on the nighttime (7:30pm) architecture tour and it was amazing! The city is so beautiful at night and our guide was really knowledgeable and witty. I was amazed to learn so much about a city I’ve been visiting since I was a kid. I highly recommend going on a boat tour to really take in the city!

Awesome experience! With Hillary, the tour guide, not only you learn about the architecture of Chicago city but you learn the why of every building and in a very fun way! 100% recommended. 1 hour and half that were totally worth it, one never gets bored. Tips: hopefully you can book to have Hillary as a tour guide because unlike most tour guides, she is extremely fun, made jokes and presented the facts about the building in an entertaining way.

our 40% off groupon code, but charged us full price. When I went on the tour, there was no one who could answer my question or give me my discount. Will never recommend to anyone.

After an email to resolve the pricing issue i was charged an additional $58 and then my discount was applied. So I have paid $160 for a tour that was supposed to be $58.

They are refusing to refund the overcharged amount. Don't ever used this tours company.

Now received another email stating they can not refund the overcharfed amount because its after the tour. I couldnt find anyone to resolve this before the tour. So I am ending up paying $124 for a tour that should have cost $58. I would never deal with this company again.

We got a decent price through Groupon ($29/person….but note that there is an add’l fee of $4 or so per person to make the reservation, and that the guide solicits tips afterwards). On the boat, water is $3, sodas $4, beer $8.

The tour is on the light side, preferring jokes over an in-depth discussion of the architecture. Twenty minute or so walk from the Millennium Park area

The BEST 90 minutes of the weekend! What a wonderful adventure this was. Our tour guide has been on the river 37 years and she certainly knows her stuff! Our whole boat was mesmerized by her stories...not a peep out of anyone. It was awesome. I highly recommend this tour. I have been to Chicago many times and this tour opens up a whole new world... it's fantastic!

What a brilliant tour in every respect! Born and raised in Chicago, I learned new and fascinating things about the city’s origins, little known architectural gems and many intriguing and comical stories by the beguiling Billy, our tour guide. The skipper was also a hoot. I loved departing from the South Loop; you really cover a LOT of the river in this 90 minute experience. I plan to go again any time I’m back in town that the tour is running. Check it out!

This tour was a lot more fun and better quality than I thought while visiting Chicago. We had the best tour guide you f the city, she was super funny while providing plethora of information about each tower; it’s history, architect, specifics etc. you will have an amazing picture and video opportunities.

They have the highest boat so your view has never been obstructed, your pretty much covers all the Chicago downtown area.

Captain was funny and guide the guests professionally to eliminate any kaos while boarding or disembarking.

Ship has a bar with plenty of alcohol and nice bathroom as well.

I will definitely do this tour again with friends, it’s a good value and very pleasant tour.

Highly recommended.

My family had the best time! As soon you as you step on board, you are greeted by good attitudes and a hilarious captain. The highlight of the entire tour was our tour guide HILLARY! She went above and beyond to keep the crowd entertained, while also informing us about the great architecture around Chicago. This tour is family owned/operated and it is definitely worth the trip!
IT's A MUST TRY when you go to Chicago!
