Our tour guide was Andre and both my wife and I thought he did an outstanding job. Andre was very knowledgeable but what really made this so worth it was his humor and his “side stories” any time he could fit one in. His energy and personality took it to another level.
I recommend this tour mainly because of how it was presented to us and our tour guide specifically. We both took much away from it with things we never knew. His binder he shared with the group with pictures so we could see what he was describing was a home run.
Thank you again Andre for a great fun day.

Not a Chicago native but have been to Chicago multiple times. While I know a little bit about the city, the tour introduced us to Chicago's rich history and our tour guide, Caleb, kept us entertained throughout the way. Girlfriend was hesitant to go at first because we knew it was going to be a lot of walking, but once the tour started, she was enthralled by our tour guide as he took us around the loop experiencing different parts of the city. We also got several chances to take small rests while taking photos and a larger interlude at the Palmer House Hilton Hotel where we got to enjoy its famous ceiling even though the girlfriend wasn't quite as impressed. All in all a very worth-it experience at only $27 per person for 2 hours of an intriguing enthralling tour.

We went on the tour on a cold spring night, we did the 8pm tour cuz ghosts only come out at night obviously! It was fun. Even on a chilly night there were LOTS of people too, they had to split us in to 2 groups of 15-20 people each. The tour is mostly just on street corners and down by the river. You walk from spot to spot. Unfortunately you don’t get to access any basements, tunnels or “off limits” areas. But, it was still fun. I will say though had we been able to see some of those more “seedy” things it would have been more exciting. So, I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5

We had a fantastic time on our tour! Kai, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgable and charismatic. Not only did she know her history up and down, she was able to maximize our tour with pieces of history and fun facts even between "stop zones" where we got the real meat of the tour. It was an incredibly unique and fun way to see downtown Chicago, and I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to know more about the gangster (and ghost!) history of Chicago.

Our tour guide was Kai and she was awesome. She kept the group moving along at a good pace, gave the right amount of time to take pictures, knows the street lights timing to the T and really made the history and stories fun and engaging. I found myself walking and being in awe with the architecture and envisioning what things were like in the 20s and 30s. She gave us great speakeasy recommendations that were legit speakeasy during the prohibition era that still operate today as bars. Thanks Kai, glad I had the opportunity to learn Chicago's history on this girls bday trip 🙌

This walking tour was well-run and strikes a good balance between information and entertainment. We did the 8:00 pm tour in late July, which allowed us to see the city around sunset as well as after dark. Definitely recommended.

A fabulous way to experience Chicago! We saw many interesting sites and heard a variety of fascinating tales..... from brownies to serial killers! Our guide, Andre, was knowledgeable, fun, approachable and engaged. He has such a broad base of knowledge and he welcomed our plethora of questions (and interruptions, lol.) You can tell he LOVES what he does and he enjoys sharing the tales that created the city.

Our guide Caleb was very engaging (he is a professional actor with a degree in American History) but there simply weren't enough stops to fill a 2-hour tour as advertised. We walked slowly and had a 15-minute break about two-thirds of the way through and still ended earlier than promised on the website. That being said, Caleb presented a lot of great information about Chicago's history during the early part of the 20th century. If you only take one walking tour while in Chicago, this probably shouldn't be it, but if you're looking for something to supplement an Architecture or Chicago Highlights tour, the Chicago Gangsters and Ghost Tour is an entertaining way to pass the time.

I THINK our guides name was Stefon?? (Not sure) We were disappointed in this tour and can’t recommend it. The entire tour it felt that our guide was rushing through, always MANY feet in front of the entire group. I always felt that we were just rushing to catch up to him. There was A LOT of just walking without any talking by the guide or anything to see. There were a FEW interesting spots with a FEW interesting stories. ( like 3 ) However, I have been on many Chicago walking tours that are MUCH better! This one was a bit boring and really “rehearsed” with a guide that seed not very excited about the city itself. :(

Description reads “good weather required” but the company’s motto is “rain or shine”.. meaning that in reality there are no refunds if you decide to skip bc of rain. The guide is knowledgeable but in a hurry; your 2 hour tour is really only 1hr.
The guide makes it clear he expects atleast $5-$10 per person for tips and 5 star rating. No wonder why this tour has high ratings.

It rained when I went. I couldn't find the tour and missed it. I went across the street and had a moscow mule instead.
