We loved the pizza at all four stops. Each was very different - thin crust, deep dish, different styles of tomato sauce, wide variety of "Chicago" specialty toppings. James was very nice and quite knowledgeable about Chicago pizza and pizza in other cities. Depending on the restaurant, you are seated in groups ranging from tables for 4 to one large table for the entire group. We tried to move around to meet most of the people on the tour. It was nice talking with so many people from various backgrounds.

My husband and I took this tour on a Sunday. It was a great way to finish our weekend. The luxury shuttle bus was very comfortable. My husband uses a cane and it was quite easy for him to maneuver on and off the shuttle.

From start to finish this tour was a winner. Who knew the rich history of Chicago's pizza scene. Our tour guide Jake was entertaining while giving the right amount of cultural and historical information and weaving pizza into his story.

Now....let's talk about the pizza. If you are a pizza lover like me, this tour is a no brainer. I loved every stop for different reasons and had MORE than enough food. My favorite, the thin crust with pistachios, pesto and a honey glaze.

I can't wait to return to my new favorite pizza joints!

Greg was an excellent host and guide. Knowledgeable and entertaining. He made sure that we were able to sample about 8 varieties of pizza from 4 places. All were outstanding. Was a great way to learn about new places along with some history of Chicago pizza.

We completed the Original Chicago Pizza Bus Tour on August 1, 2021. The bus was a perfect option for me and my still healing broken foot. I brought my 13-year old nephew with me - his first trip to Chicago. The pizza tour was a huge hit! Jonathan is an expert when it comes to pizza, pizza making, pizza ovens and Chicago history. He is also very accommodating, friendly and attentive to the needs of his customers. You can tell he has the respect of all the pizza restaurants on his tours. I would definitely recommend Chicago Pizza Tours during your visit to Chicago!

Excellent tour! Well worth the price. We enjoyed learning the history of each of the pizza spots visited. The tour description says you'll get 4 pcs. of pizza......you get far more than that and will walk away overly satisfied. Greg was our guide and very knowledgeable not only about the pizza and restaurants, but also about Chicago. Pete was our driver and was great.

This was by FAR one of the best food tours we've ever done! What's fantastic is that you are on a bus so you get to go to places that are off the beaten path and not overrun with tourists. Go hungry because you will try 8 different kinds of pizza - and they don't skimp on your portions!! We had a great time, and I'd recommend this to anyone who loves pizza. Never knew the history of the different types of crusts, styles, etc. until we did this tour. Thanks for a really fantastic day!

Wanted to try new experience that was both a guided tour of the city and good food and this tour is fantastic for both!

Tour guide Dan is as very entertaining and gracious and made our short time together very special.

He made our small group of 9 people feel very appreciated and was very accommodating being that there was one lady that was a vegetarian.

His knowledge of the city and fun facts about the history of pizza in regards to Chicago blew us all away.

Time spent in the bus was a blast as well since we got to see the city as well as the people of Chicago. None of us 9 will ever forget the shirtless man walking on lake shore drive in negative 10 degree weather. Truly a magical experience.

Pizza places were very nice, some were crowded but the tour received VIP service regardless and never had to wait for table or food.

Highly recommend this tour.

I highly recommend this tour.
Pizza choices were all very good. (I especially liked Pizano’s pizza and atmosphere.) It was very well organized. Our guide was knowledgeable and personable. (However, I was with a large group of cousins and I felt the guide talked a little too much of the time which didn’t allow for us to interact as much as we would have liked. He offered a bit too much personal information.)
