Funny Clever Show - Definite Recommend
So sorry to see the Chicago theatre is closing. I had heard of the BMG but had never seen them in person. Very clever skits. Good audience participation. I thought the "You're Late" skit was hysterical! I'd definitely go see them again, or see them on tour!

Truly a show for all ages!
I had seen Blue Man Group several times over the years of its Chicago run, and it still brings laughs and joy. Some parts have changed, and some classic bits continue to please. I'm in my 60's and I brought my 7 year old granddaughter who loved every minute of the show. Every time there was a scene blackout she would look at me and say "Tell me it's not over!".

    Fun for the family
There’s a reason why this show has stood the test of multiple decades. It’s just fun and entertaining AND family friendly. The music (heavy in percussion of course) is also great. Lots of energy and fun vibes. And, it’s not uncomfortably loud (it’s loud but my ears weren’t ringing afterwards).

    Amazing Show
I saw half a show almost 20 years ago and thought it was amazing. Seeing a full show was beyond amazing. Ticket prices can be high, but worth every penny. Very unique, funny, and entertaining.

    Blue Man Group Daytona, Florida
We went to this show expecting the same wonderful show we saw in Orlando in 2018. This event was a complete dissapointment. There were a few funny moments between horrible, blasting, gut wrenching, pounding noise. Gone was the sophisticated humor, the "two against one" expressive act, and the wonderful satire on modern art and technology. The mindnumbing sound and strobe like lighting effects were extremely uncomfortable. And to top it all off, the grand finale consisted of the audience tearing a piece of green paper (given in the program) into pieces and throwing the pieces into the air. Sad.

    Always amusing and amazing
I have seen this show in Chicago, once in tour in my hometown Pittsburgh, and now in Vegas. Each time I am amused and amazed. Such crazy originality and artistic genius. Appropriate for all but the very young as it can get loud. Their silent interaction with body language and eye emotions with the audience is a riot. Excellent!

Blue Man Group - Las Vegas
I saw this show in Las Vegas. I went with my husband, two children (ages 12 and 16) and my mother. We all enjoyed it. It gets a little slow at times, but overall it was fun, entertaining and worth the price.

Interactive shopw is a MUST whether you are a firsttime or returning visitor!
Interactive show! If you want to participate try and reserve a seat in the front 3 rows! Great repertoire of material will keep you entertained until the end. Seat prices can vary drastically, so shop around!

This show has been going on for many years and its good for a laugh. We especially liked the bit with the crawlers on the sides of the stage at the beginning of the show calling out audience members by name. The show is a weird nonverbal performance art and sight gag kind of show. If you haven't seen it before, its sort of fun and different than seeing a musical. The show does not appear to have changed much so if you have seen it, it probably won't be much different a second time. Also, most of the comedy bits from the show can be seen on line so there won't be too many surprises.

My teenage kids liked it but weird humor is kind of their thing. If you like more mainstream entertainment, this isn't for you.

My one caution is that the sounds and lights at the very beginning of the show are loud and intense. If you have kids under 5 or kids with noise or sensory issues, you might be making a hasty exit.

Seeing the Blue Man Group has been on my bucket list for so long. When I saw they were starting back up their shows I bought tickets immediately. It was more than I anticipated or expected. I love every second of the show. I would pay the money and go see them all over again..even if it was the same routine as this one. They included people from the audience every so often. I was surprised they did that with covid but they put face shields on and provided them to whatever guest they picked out to come up on stage. They did a really good job with showing no emotion! I think I was most impressed with that. If you’re questioning whether you should pay to see them, do it.

This was a perfect performance to take my teen and tween to as part of our Chicago getaway. It is close to the Belmont stop on the Red Line and we easily walked the theater.
The kids were thoroughly entertained and we all laughed, clapped and really enjoyed ourselves! There is audience participation and my oldest was asked to take part which was a really cool experience. Even without that fun extra, we still would give this 5 stars.
Know they are serious about Covid precautions and at the time of this writing they do require proof of vaccination and masks.
Try GroupOn for special ticket prices which is where I bought ours.

We weren't exactly sure what we were getting into, but it was awesome! Very interactive for all ages. They bring the audience into the show well and capture your attention the entire time. We took our high school sons and they loved it! Would recommend to all ages. Kids under 8 seemed to wear ear muffs, not a bad idea. We had great seats sitting in the center section - probably not a bad seat in the house!

5 things to know before you go.

1) They involve the audience so expect that you might get covered in streamers, maybe get pullup to get painted or even a fun marriage skit on stage. All in good fun.

2) There is a Micheals art store across the street with great bathrooms - also another in the basement. We arrived early but before we got in line we did some fake shopping and let our kids use the restrooms.

3) This area of town is mostly LBGTQAI+. A lot of wonderful people and a great teachable moment for us to share with our kids. Just be prepared.

Great matinee option that was fun for all ages! My husband and I have both seen Blue Man in Las Vegas, but the Chicago show was a first for us, with our 8 year old joining in the fun.

All of the logistics were smooth. We arrived about a half hour early, and queued in the lobby/gift shop. Once we went in, the ushers were great about getting to your seats. It was a little tough finding a taxi after the show, but we went down a couple blocks and eventually got one.

The show itself is a ton of fun, with a good mix of music and participation. We did have some hearing protection for our daughter, but the theatre provides some too, if you need it. It really is amazing the amount of things they can cram into such a confined stage area.

We sat center section in the middle, about 5 rows back from the poncho section. I’m not sure there’s a bad seat in the house, though!

Visual and auditory extravaganze does not disappoint. Quirky sense of humour and lots iof audience participation make this a truly memorable show!

What would I add, not that I am an entertainer or an artist.......
the show perfectly lends itself to a few hip hop dance routines performed in the dark with LED strips-lit suits.
And the music repertoire would be perfectlty augmented with a rendition of RUSH-E

It’s surprising that this performance has managed to run for nearly 30 years. The theater was only about three-quarters full, and the acts themselves were quite dull. I can’t imagine paying over $100 for a ticket — thankfully, we received ours for free, or it would have been a complete disappointment. Ultimately, it felt like a classic tourist trap that’s best avoided.

My wife and were in town for auto show and I've always wanted to see this show. It was alot of fun for all ages. There was a birthday party of 11 year old boys in front of us and they really loved it! Alot of the humor and shtick was perfect for them. I felt like an 11 year old watching it..lol. It is in a nice walkable neiborhood with alot of young 20 something kids and we had deep dish at a nearby restaurant before the show

Surprisingly, this doesn’t seem to have been updated in 20+ years (kind of unfathomable considering how far technology has come since). It moves much too slowly, a lot of the bits are just plain boring (the audience participation “wedding“ was cringeworthy), and the schtick of blank looks & ad nauseam head turning gets fast. Video screen image quality is abysmal. There’re a couple of impressive stunts (performers are talented), and the water tornadoes are super cool (wish they’d been left on throughout the show).
