You get complimentary headphones and a radio that allows you to hear everything about every building. This is an outside only tour so you don’t go up in any building, but was very cool to learn some history and to see the different styles and construction methods. Great tour!Written November 28, 2024

- U4748RJstepheng0 contributionsA different and fascinating view of the LoopAs part-time residents of Chicago who rarely use public transportation, this tour gave us a new perspective on buildings and neighborhoods we see all the time. Our guide Amanda was wonderful. She provided thorough historical background, described distinctive features of the many buildings highlighted in the tour, and brought to life the people and events that brought the L into being and shaped its long history. She answered the many questions we had, and we appreciated how much she enjoyed sharing the distinctive history of the Loop with us. We look forward to doing other tours with Amanda and deepening our knowledge about the great city we live in.Written November 23, 2024

I had an excellent walking tour with Jessica January 19, 2024 during the very cold week. I was the only architecture fanatic (from Central Europe) in -10 Celsius who signed up for the tour. Jessica explained everything very well in details, telling interesting stories too, and we had interesting conversations about the city's architecture. She also left me time to take pictures. Despite the harsh weather conditions I enjoyed our walking tour very much. Thank you Jessica and CAC for organizing this kind of tours! Ágnes

Beautiful fall day to walk Michigan Ave, State St, the Loop and admire the historic buildings of Chicago’s Golden Age. The 90 minute tour was fascinating, informative & fun with guide Amanda. She was so knowledgeable & helpful, giving us all kinds of facts & history - but also insider tidbits. She also had great recommendations for dining in the area. Thx CAC & Amanda for another great tour.

Though a rainy day, we enjoyed our tour of Chicago's historic skyscrapers. The docent did a nice job of explaining the history of the buildings and some of the advances in construction methods during the 1880-1920ish period.
And ending in the Marquette Building's lobby is a magical way to finish.

We saw some beautiful architect on this tour. Lesson learned: look up! There is a treasure trove of beauty on the ceilings in Chicago. Matt did a great job and seemed as bummed as we were that certain buildings were not included. Maybe it's time for Part II? Thank you for a nice afternoon.

Over 75% of out tour were from outside the United States,I thought it was in poor taste when the tour guide made several disrespectful comments and references about our President,Trump. This would never have been tolerated when Obama was President!
The fact this level of disrespect is tolerated explains why this country is so divided.
Give us facts not your political opinion!,,

This was a wonderful walking tour and educational experience about the Chicago Commercial Style of architecture, exemplified in early skyscrapers. Our guide was wonderful in explaining and educating without being too technical. By the end of the tour, I really felt I knew more and appreciated Chicago skyscraper architecture. I would highly recommend this to anyone who appreciates the Chicago skyline.

I will in town 1/0/13 and would like to take your tour. At this point I'm not able to sigh up for it. Is that just because it's too early to sign-up or you're no long doing it?
