About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- heathermE6094EV0 contributionsGreat tour!!We had a fabulous tour with Tied to Nature. Our tour guide John was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Our group included three families (14 total) with mostly teenagers between the ages of 14 and 18 (And a ten year old). John picked us up at 5:30 am and as you can imagine the group was still half asleep. After our first stop everyone woke up and John was prepared for all of our questions. We were able to see grizzlies, elk, wolves and lots of bison. The waterfalls were beautiful. John brought us to a secluded lunch spot by the water. The lunch provided was perfect. I would highly recommend Tied to Nature.Written August 10, 2024

- sarahb3160 contributionsJust perfectIt was our first time to Yellowstone and I’m so pleased we booked this tour we got to see things we would never have done on our own. We saw Bears, Bison, Elk mountain goats and the most amazing scenery. Jarred was our tour guide and he was fantastic his knowledge of the area was amazing from the nature to the history. And the bonus was as he knew the park so well we missed the crowds at all the hot spots which made it all the more lovely. Thank you Jarred for making our Yellowstone trip one we will never forget.Written July 14, 2024
- Cyrenius0 contributionsFirst Time to YellowstoneFor our first time in Yellowstone Brian made sure to make the experience memorable. He was very informative and attentive. He made sure to share plenty of interesting and fun facts about Yellowstone. He brought us to places we wouldn't have thought to go if we didn't have him we would have been lost. Thank you Brian for making this the best experience for our family.Written July 11, 2024
- KimKenny1300 contributionsYellowstone wildlifeHad our family of 7 on a wildlife tour of Yellowstone with Tied to Nature. Our guide, Brian, was very knowledgeable about the park and its wildlife and has a calming and kind personality. He spent time teaching us about the different places we were passing through as we made it to our ultimate destination of Lamar Valley. We saw a ton of animals including elk, a grizzly bear, a black bear, a black wolf, plenty of bison, elk, sheep, osprey and a pair of bald eagles. What makes a trip like this enjoyable is that you can enjoy the scenery and knowledge of a professional who knows the park and where to look for animals. He also has spotting scopes and a phone connector to use for longer distance viewing/recording. Make sure you get some videos and pictures like that. They are way better than you will get with your phone or even a decent SLR. Final note. Brian suggested we follow him in to Madison Junction because we planned to go see more of the park after our tour ended. That saved us at least 45 min of driving back and forth to West Yellowstone and we were able to head down to see many of the thermal features in and around Old Faithful to wrap up our afternoon. Great trip - thanks Brian! Highly recommend.Written July 7, 2024
- W5094DVjimf0 contributionsTakes your experience to the next level!!!Brian was so personable and we immediately felt like we were traveling with an old friend. He was very knowledgeable about the park and the history. Brian put us on all the animals we wanted to see. Many of these animals were well camouflaged in their environment and without his expertise we would not have known they were there. If you are wondering if it is worth the money, it absolutely is. I witnessed some other people on wildlife tours that were not getting the experience were and felt bad for them. We really lucked out choosing Tied to Nature. Made our trip so special. Thanks Brian!Written June 20, 2024
- T5718FWashleym0 contributionsWonderful tourHighly recommend this tour if you have never been to Yellowstone. Brian was very knowledgeable, listened to everything we wanted to see and do. We saw 3 wolves, a grizzly bear, and lots of bison and elk. We saw waterfalls, the prismatic, and old faithful. The lunch was very good as well. Worth every penny! Thanks Brian!Written June 10, 2024
- N8663LBreneel0 contributionsThis tour will make your trip a success!Absolutely a must do! Well worth the money. We saw wildlife we would have never seen on our own. The guide, Jarrod, had so much additional knowledge about the park, ecosystems, and historical events that it really made our trip a success. The lunch was also amazing. This trip is big bang for the buck!Written June 7, 2024
- laurentT6452JL0 contributionsGreat tour!Great tour! We saw a ton of wildlife, and our tour guide Brian was super knowledgeable, friendly, and fun to hang out with all day. We learned a lot that we were able to use for the rest of our week in Yellowstone viewing and photographing wildlife.Written May 22, 2024

- G3370YFlorrainew0 contributionsIf you are going to pay for a guide service choose Adam and Tied to Nature!Adam was by far the best guide we have ever had. Very informative, knowledgeable and helpful! We were able to see wildlife and parts of the park we wouldn’t have thought of. We saw a pack of wolves, red fox, eagles and so much more! If you are going to pay for a guide in YNP, choose Adam and Tied to nature.Written October 6, 2023
- charlottecG3595FB0 contributionsWildlife tourLevi was our tour guide. His knowledge of the park was remarkable. We saw Elk, a grizzly a pack of wolves and mountain goats not to mention the beautiful scenery. Most of the animals we saw we have video of rather than pictures. I wish I could add video here!Written September 9, 2023

- 635erinj0 contributionsExcellent—book it!We did the Wildlife and Waterfalls tour with John. He was an excellent, knowledgeable, and fun guide! John was right on time at our pick up spot and we were on our way— the early wake up was worth it when we spotted a black bear not 15 feet from our van. Throughout the day we also saw: elk, bison, bald eagles, deer, marmots, osprey, and white pelicans. John knew where to look and chatted with other guides for intel. He took awesome pics for us (at times using his scope and phone attachment). We also saw the Grand Canyon of Yellowstone— upper and lower falls and several other impressive waterfalls. The bagged lunch, snacks, and drinks provided were plentiful and good. Overall, we would highly recommend this tour and John as a tour guide!!!Written August 9, 2023
- richardgI370BQ0 contributionsAmazing!Amazing time! Would definitely recommend! We had Brian as our tour guide. Picked us up 5:30 sharp. Comfortable van packed with water and snacks for the ride. Brian was very knowledgable and we learned a lot about the park from him. We appreciated Brian taking us to a few places he knew might have a chance of seeing some sightings. We saw Elk, a bald eagle, black bear, many, many bison, pronghorn sheep, a coyote and mountain goats. But we really lucked out and saw 5 wolves, both black and gray including a pup. We would not have seen a few of these without him! The best thing is he can hook his phone up to the scope and take great videos which he gives you after! On our way back we found out there were 2 Grizzly's sleeping in a meadow. Even though we were on the cusp of running out of time, we stayed at the spot waiting, had our lunch there while we waited, and then were rewarded with watching the two bears running around. Our favorite part about Brian is he was having as good a time as we were during all of this. He's going to make sure that you have a good experience! Thank you Brian!Written August 6, 2023

This was our first time visiting Yellowstone. Searching online, we decided to book a private tour with “Tied to Nature” on Thursday. Brian picked us up early in the morning at our hotel for the southern loop tour. On our drive up from Jackson Hole to our hotel in Island Park on Wednesday, we had already stopped at “Old Faithful”. Upon hearing this and knowing we would also be spending Friday in the park, Brian asked if we would like to pivot our tour from the full southern loop tour. It was so cool how flexible Brian was with our tour and how enthusiastic he was in helping us see everything we wanted to see! Brian had professional binoculars available and a scope with the iPhone attachment which allowed the wildlife video he had taken on our tour to be easily airdropped to our phone. We were able to see a great grey owl perched in a tree, bison meandering across the road, young swans gliding across the water, to name a few. Brian was very knowledgeable and hospitable, providing snacks and a delicious bag lunch from a local restaurant with selections made prior to the tour. Brian was helpful in planning the stops we would make on our own on Friday. Brian gave us very specific directions on where and when to go for the best opportunity to see some wolves! We followed his advice and were able to see the wolves in the Lamar Valley! Amazing! Brian was the perfect guide! We give this tour our highest recommendation!

Our private group had an exceptional time with John in Yellowstone! He picked us up early at our Airbnb in Island Park, and the van was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of snacks. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the park and the wildlife, he was a joy to spend the day with. John showed us several spots most tourists don’t know about, and he planned our timing to Old Faithful perfectly where we had a nice lunch on the patio. He gave us recommendations for other areas to visit in Yellowstone, and the best time of day to go, for when our group went the next day. Our group was supposed to have a tour in the Tetons as well but there was a hiccup in the company’s scheduling. Adam refunded us immediately and gave us recommendations for places to visit in the Tetons (which John has also given us while we were with him in Yellowstone). The highlight of our trip was our time with John, and we would highly recommend a private tour- it is worth the investment!

We would highly recommend Tied to Nature for any Yellowstone tour. Adam went above and beyond to accommodate all of the needs of the 13 members in our group!! He was very informative about not only the wildlife and landscape but also the history of Yellowstone. We scheduled our tour of the lower loop for the first day we were in the park and we’re so glad we had the tour on the first day. Adam provided us with loads of information to help us make sure the rest of our days in the park were a success. The lunch was excellent and very filling! He had binoculars for all to use and a spotting scope he connected to his phone to get a better view of wildlife and he would share recordings he captured. Just an amazing experience!!!

Brian was a great guide! We were a ‘difficult’ group - we had a 5 month baby with us, that required extra stops and a modified tour plan. Brian was very patient and flexible. He also had great stories about wildlife and the park.

Before booking with "Tied to Nature" for a long planned and highly anticipated family trip to Yellowstone NP for my family of 9, I did extensive research and received many referrals for a knowledgable and trustworthy guide service. "Tied to Nature" did not disappoint. Our guide, Brian went above and beyond to make sure our 2 days of tour included exactly what we wanted to see...especially the wildlife. His extensive knowledge of the park gave us the opportunity to visit and learn about the most interesting park highlights while he navigated to the best wildlife viewing locations. My grandchildren were thrilled to see Bison, Pronghorn, Coyote, Black Bear, Grizzly and so much more. We could not ask more of a park guide...Brian was terrific. Even the picnic lunch which "Tied to Nature" provided exceeded our expectations! I highly recommend!

The lower loop tour your with Adam was spectacular. He was passionate and incredibly knowledgeable about Yellowstone, wildlife, and the history of the park. We saw 5 wolves with pups, tons of Bison, Elk, then hit all the top sites with the best views at age points. We were also able to navigate and avoid most of the traffic and crowds. He even called ahead and times Old Faithful for us. Overall highly recommended.

This was one of the best decisions we made for our Yellowstone trip. We have three boys (15, 13 and 10) and they said that Adam’s tour was the best part about Yellowstone. We booked 2 days with Adam and viewed alot of wildlife including some wolves. We also saw every popular spot in Yellowstone and navigated around the crowds. Adam is personable, knowledgeable and well prepared. He educated us about the park and wildlife and I can’t say enough about this tour. He also is an avid photographer so he shared his knowledge with my son who loves taking scenic pictures. Definitely consider booking with Adam to make your Yellowstone experience enjoyable.

This was an awesome experience for many reasons! It was a private tour-we appreciated it being just our group to worry about! The van was comfortable and clean! He had snacks and water! And binoculars and telescopes. It was me and 4 teenagers and they all had wonderful things to say and want to rate this 20 stars. He knew where to find the wildlife, he knew other guides and resources in the park to help us find the active wildlife, and how to time the arrival to see Old Faithful. He stopped at a great spot for lunch (which was delicious and part of the tour). He was patient, he was knowledgeable, he engaged the teenagers, he took us to the things we wanted in our tour, and he recommended starting early which ended up being a challenge for a group of teenagers BUT we are so glad we did! We would highly recommend this tour! It’s great for families and or friends! It’s perfect for all ages.

Our guide was Brian and he was excellent. It's a PRIVATE tour so YOU get to decide where you'd like to go and see. Brian was very accommodating and shared a lot of great information about the sites we visited. We highly recommend this tour early in your Yellowstone trip so you know the best sights to visit!

Where do you pick up from for the private tour?
Written December 3, 2021
Hi,
Is this tour $900 independently of how many people are in the group?
Do you have availability for July 30th?
What time does the tour leave ?
And most important where does the tour leave from?
Thanks,
Cristina

Do you offer upper and lower loop tours separate days for a group of 8? We have 4 adults and 4 kids age 13, 11, 10 and 8. We’re staying at Canyon Lodge. We will be there July 20-23. Thanks!
