Molly and Uncle Vince were wonderful!
Molly and Uncle Vince were absolutely amazing and the sweetest and nicest people throughout the whole tour experience. They were very accommodating ! They showed us everything from the oldest and the first bicycle to all the earliest medicine from back in the 1800s. We will definitely be going again!!!

    Fascinating Journey to the Past
They greet you in the store with a taste of old fashioned candy sticks that are still delicious today. Then we got to see brands from the past, appliances from the past, bicycles from the past, and a vast array of other things. You really got the sense of how vital and important the country store was to folks at that time.

Wonderful nostalgic trip - awesome guide!
I was there with a school trip of 4th graders. The children were very interested in everything and it was somewhat interactive - tour guide made sure to keep the children engaged. Very cool!

Surprised at how much fun this tour was
Docent tour guide made the experience interactive and engaging. Much more fun to hear her rendition of the various city take-overs, making them relatable. She crowned one of our group the king of Spain and gave us his point of view.

    Time period Store
The tour guide was the store keeper for the time period. He did an excellent job on showing us the use for some of the old equipment. He was trying to "sell" us stuff as if we were in the time period. Had the best time here.

    Our favorite stop!
Orville was our guide and he was great. My kids are still repeating his line - “we can have this packed up and delivered to your house in two weeks!”. It has become a staple since we left 😂. Orville knew a lot about not only the store but individual products. He remembered we were from NJ and noted that Cambell’s Soup is here in Camden, about twenty minutes from us. If he was a really salesman for this store, you would be sold out! Our favorite tour on the trip!

Fascinating collection of artifacts from early twentieth century.
If you happen to be in the area, perhaps visiting the old jail, it is well worth adding this museum to your itinerary. Knowledgable and entertains guided tours.

    Trip back in time
The tour guides are extremely knowledgeable, and are willing to answer questions about all kinds of items found in the old store.

    Great History
Good experience. We enjoy learning about daily life in years gone by and this store is full of history and lots of authentic shop items, many very unique. The actress Molly playing a storekeeper is a plus, she's good.

    Old, indeed
Old & young alike should enjoy this museum. If you're a senior citizen you will recognize many things you & your family owned & used &, if you're young, you can see what & how things were used back then.

Fun but not what I expected
We enjoyed our visit to the store, but it is not a REAL store. It is a goofy tourist attraction where you walk through with an actor pretending to sell you items from the turn of 20th century. My husband loved it, but I didn't. Our "salesman" was very nice, but again, not what I was expecting.

    Just loved Ruby!
History and entertainment collide in this wonderful blast from the past! Ruby guided us through the authentic General Store and was a delightful shopkeeper we would have loved to have known in 1908! Highly recommend this trip into a forgotten era of time!

Tour guide really expanded experience as she demonstrated some items as well as pointing out interesting antiques and costs at the time. Really enjoyed it, was a good combination of guided and self guided as they let you wander around after to tour. Preferred this tour to the jail.

I would not be doing justice if I didn't take time to do a review for Edith. She was absolutely entertaining, engaging, very fast in catching on characteristics of people in her group and tailoring a "sales pitch" to it. This requires some improv skills. Considering her young age, this is pretty commendable. She was dealing with 3 people who probably aren't easily impressed (a retired couple from Canada and my cynical self).

It's an excellent "old" store with real knick knacks, furniture, fittings and equipment from bygone eras. Seeing the inventions and their evolved incarnations up close, and not behind some glass case in a museum, is quite amazing. The collection of stuff is quite intriguing, and Edith is so knowledgeable, knowing how every single displayed item works (and trying to get you to buy it... haha!)

This one was my favorite out of many museums i visited in St, Augustine, Fl. The tour guide (can't remember her name sadly) did an amazing job to explain every detail in great passion and humor way. Super friendly and professional staff. I would recommend everyone to visit this store it is far the best one. Especially, if you value and like vintage, you will love it.

My fiance and me visted the Oldest Store for the very first time and we were blown away. Orville met us at the door and already had us mesmerized. He showed us around the store and tought us all about the artifacts. He made us really feel like we were back in the 1900s shopping. Then Molly took over and she was such a sweetheart who really knew her stuff. She kept us interacted with everything and made us feel special with everything she explained to us. For our first time, we enjoyed this very much.

While our "tour guide" was knowledgeable of the script she had memorized, we would have liked to have seen more items than just those that were part of the tour. We had questions that made it difficult for our tour guide to stay on her script. Perhaps the price of admission is a little high for such a short tour. We did enjoy seeing the antique items and hearing about the original costs of each. We won't need to go back here in the future.

Ms. Tilly made this experience amazing. Her character was on point and really made us feel as if we were time traveling. The museum alone is much. Offer than you expect filled with old artifacts from the 1800’s truly amazing. Thank you Ms. Tilly for making this magical.

During our trip to St. Augustine last week, my wife and I visited the Oldest Store Museum (Monday March 29). Molly was our guide and she was awesome! The items "for sale" were fascinating as I pictured myself in the appropriate time period. It did get a little crowded between getting too close to other "customers" and being careful not to break anything. However, if you're not as concerned about getting COVID (as more people are getting vaccinated and/or the whole herd immunity thing), you'll enjoy your time here.

This was honestly one of the coolest tours that I participated in this weekend. Our “guide” was Molly and she did an awesome job walking us through the products. She commits to the role and her acting and the store creates this level of authenticity where you almost forget you’re on the tour and feel like a customer. I didn’t have a feel for just how big the store was until we got to the warehouse and learned how insanely difficult it was to actually ride a bike. Still crazy to me that you needed a license for a bike and not for a car. I would definitely recommend.

I was not sure what to expect and how interesting a tour of a store could be, but I was surprised. My wife and daughter were with me. Orville was the tour guide. He took us through the front end of the store showing us how life was in the early 1900s. And then in the back room he gave a hilarious demonstration of the goat washing machine and bicycles. The tour was a lot of fun and informative and Orville kept my 8-year-old daughter engaged with his stories.

Orville, and Oliver did an outstanding job. My wife and I really enjoyed being taken back into history. A lot of history is preserved there and it's amazing to think how far we have come since the early 1900's.
