    Beautiful and fun, BUT...
Gorgeous and enjoyable. Unfortunately with an empty row behind us, some drunk people jumped on the trolley mid-way without paying and driver didn't notice or didn't bother kicking them off. Really changed the mood and enjoyment. Prepare to be stuck in traffic for nearly an hour looking for parking and then stuck in traffic for the entire trolley ride. 😵‍💫 Goes with the territory for this event on a Sat nite. Probably about 20,000 ppl in the historic district. Still fun.

I strongly recommend doing this tour, even if you can walk the town.
It’s a small walkable town, but I have no regrets taking the trolley tour. They did a great job of keeping you entertained. The came every 15 minutes and never had to wait for another one and although it was busy, they had so many trolleys going, never filled up. Plenty to see and learn about. We just did the trolley with no add-ons and it was a good value.

    Experience Not Worth the Cost
First we went Thanksgiving week so this may have influenced our experience. Our tour was scheduled for 7:15. We arrived on time and waited in a long line. All three lines were long! As we watched two or three trams leave the station. We finally got on around 8 PM. No cookie/hot chocolate were provided. I heard there was a cookie station somewhere, but the location was unknown to the patrons. Traffic was horrific. Which made the experience miserable. This is not a tour! It is a drive along the Main Street with Christmas music blaring from speakers about your seat. Often the tram did not move in the traffic. As we approached the end of the trip, at a stop sign most everyone jumped off the tram. The city should change the flow of traffic for this event. At least close off the Main Street to cars on the weekends and over the holidays. Not worth the cost of the experience.

    Just Do it Yourself.
It was pretty ( and pretty cold). Here’s the thing, you are not getting a tour, they drive you around in the open air trolleys and have you sing Christmas Carols for thirty minutes. You can walk around and actually photograph what’s important to you for free on foot.

A good start for your visit
We try to get an overall tour of any city we are visiting for the first time and this was as thorough a tour as we've ever experienced. In fact, if you have small children, it probably is too long to keep their interest. But it is a "hop on, hop off" trolley so you can hop off to eat, shop or sight-see on foot. Our driver was engaging and informative. A bonus for us is that it is wheelchair accessible. Note that getting on and off can be challenging as the steps are high.

Excellent tour. All of the tour guide/ narrators were excellent and informative. We especially enjoyed Kit Cat as she was a lot of fun. Lots to see on the tour and it’s interesting hearing all of the history. Great to be able to hop on and off all day.

    Great. Staff were wonderful
$38 for a hop-on hop-off all day ticket. Great value for money and especially if you want to see the area and get more familiar with it and the rich history. We did a loop and our driver Trevor was a treat, very funny and knowledgeable also shout out to Kevin who was also fun. And special mention to the wonderful Pam who was driving the shuttle to / from the visitor centre what a lovely lady

Old Town Trolley Tours: Money Grab, not worth the price, even if it were free.
Not worth the price. Even if it was free. We paid for 2 rows of seats. Lots of our hard earned money. We got downtown really early and did as they told us to, arrived more than 20 minutes before our scheduled departure of 8:45. Waited until nearly 10 PM for our actual trolley departure. Disgusting. We were travelling with people who had a long drive home ahead of them. Then they put us in the front two rows of the trolley. Nice view. The back of the driver's head and the windshield. The middle seats of the front row are obstructed by a metal protrusion at your feet. The loading system of going by colour seemed like a good idea to them but it meant that we were watching people in later time slots in other queues loading way before us. Disgusting. And in the end, after all of that, it turns out it is much better to just walk around and see the lights. Much more visible and could spend as much time as we wanted at each location and you don't have to smell exhaust while sitting in traffic. Given this impression of the Old Town Trolley Tours I wouldn't book a regular tour with them either. Clearly a company obsessed with money, not client satisfaction. We saw their front line employees taking crap from upset patrons. The front line employees did everything they could to keep things cheerful and happy but were working an uphill battle. I hope they are paid well. The only excuse they had for the delays was "traffic". Clearly management doesn't live in St. Augustine if they don't know what traffic patterns are like there. They just signed up as many people as they could, knowing that they would get to keep their money. We felt sorry for anyone with young, tired, cold children.

Not even Santa can put a bow on this turd💩
Biggest rip off of the season!!!! Would have given zero stars but was forced to give at least one. Didn’t realize that we actually saw almost all of the tour on our way to the get the trolley to start the tour.🤷🏻‍♀️ Then we waited to get on the trolly for 30 min. Once we were on the trolley we sat in traffic the entire time. There was zero narration during the tour and nothing special to see!! There were 8 of us on the tour and feeling was unanimous. Total waste of time & $!

An Excellent Way to Get to Know the Town
Although you can walk St Augustine's historic sites on your own, you get so much more information and background when you take the Old Town Trolley. I started off early so that I could hop on and Hop Off several times. Camper was an excellent guide and went out of his way to give me plenty of extra history. He makes the process of driving, guiding and managing the tour look easy.

    Over-priced
St. Augustine is really small and if you are a walker, you can get to most places easily without the trolley. Given that the tour was close to $80 for two, and parking in the area $15-25 depending on the lot, we don’t feel we got $50-60 worth of history to warrant the charge. Also last boarding was 430 which really limited its usefulness. We rode multiple trolleys and the only engaging one was Tom, the last.

Excellent tour of downtown Saint Augustine
We had guests visiting from out of state and decided to use the hop on-hop off trolley as a way to see a lot of the downtown. We got on the trolley four times and had Tom as our driver/guide three of those times. He was always friendly, knowledgeable and funny. He made sure everyone was safe, repeating rules at every stop. He told people the best side of the trolley to get off and always watched for cars in parking lots before allowing people to disembark. His has a good understanding of the history of Saint Augustine. I would highly recommend this tour.

We were in St Augustine this past Saturday February 22. Reading all the reviews I figured this was the way to see and explore all the sites. Checking in was easy, the staff was knowledgeable and friendly those are the good parts.... The hoping on and off is guaranteed to make you miss things you want to explore. We spent quite a bit of time waiting for the Old Town Trolley and a couple of our stops, so much so that we spent less time walking everywhere than riding the trolley. At one of the stops the driver apologized for people not being able to get on our FILLED trolley, he would call back and let them know they need to get more trolley's going. It certainly seemed the RED trolley company had a 3:1 ratio over Old Town Trolley during our 1 day stay visit. If you go you have choices, our suggestion would be to save the money, walk and see what you want to see

Well it was just "ok". Took us over a lot of bumpy streets to tourist attractions that, no doubt, businesses paid for us to be dropped off at (like a distillery). It was hot and humid and being in the Old Town Trolley saved us walking but at almost $30 a head, it was way more expensive than it should've been for 90 min. The seats are padded, but your back is against a former plastic upright, so not the most comfortable ride. Also, sound system on trolley dreadful...we knew driver was yacking by couldn't discern WHAT he was telling us.

My boyfriend and I got the 2 day pass for our weekend trip. He had never been to St. Augustine so it was a great way to see all the highlights of the historic city. This trolley was great for 2 reasons, to help with the walking, and every driver had their own tidbits about the town. They all spoke about the same buildings and stories but some gave additional fun facts or info about certain historical sites. Our first driver Scooter was great! We sat on the trolley the entire time just to hear the history! It also started to rain during our tour, Scooter pulled over when it started to rain hard to hand out some ponchos! Our second driver Robert was also great, we hopped on towards the back of the trolley so we had a harder time hearing him with all the people aboard. Our last driver, David was kind! There was a couple of us on the trolley in the beginning, so he was sure to ask us a few questions about where we’re from and so on. He told us about his own tour he gives to friends when they visit, which helped give us ideas of place to stop on our next visit to St. Augustine! Wonderful service, drivers, and city!

The ride started at the west visitor welcome center and they take you on a bus to the Old Jail station 1 were the tour begins and has 22 stops thru the entire downtown it was nice and complete very recommended to know all the most important sites of the city. The only downside was while waiting for the next trolley all because It was too crowded. Unfortunately we went on one of the busiest day on a Memorial Day weekend so it was extremely long wait about 40 to 1 hour to catch a trolley and most of them were already full when coming to station 1 and no one getting down. The package include the entrance to the tour to the Old Jail and the Old museum get up and down any time between the stations and Do not include the entrance to any other place like the Fountain of Youth or the Catillo de San Marcos you have to pay separately every single different place. The parking is free.

Tickets were convenient to purchase on line, but we still needed to line up at the ticket office to obtain stickers to board. We appreciated free parking at the Jail. All staff were polite. It was a very pleasant ride around Old Town but we were disappointed to get very little from the commentary. The driver recited a memorized script into a muffled microphone at a pace reminiscent of an auctioneer. We were able to catch maybe 20% of what Dante said. We were tempted to get off at one of the stops to board a different trolley, but we didn’t want to give up our seats of a row for the 2 of us on a busy tour day, I enjoyed this tour much more a number of years ago when we had an entertaining tour guide we could comprehend.

We booked this trolley prior to arriving in town. I utilized the same company in Savannah and was very happy with the service and experience. The price was more than fair and the trolley arrives approximately every 15 minutes at the 22 stops. Of course traffic and unforseen issues may delay that.

I only rated this 4 stars due to our wait at Lightner Museum for pickup. As we were waiting for the trolley one passed by without stopping. We ended up waiting for approximately 45 minutes. We had 3 additional trolleys arrive that were full and we were a group of 5 and unable to board. Obviously, they cannot control who hops on and hops off and at what stops. I suggest maybe walking to a different stop where passengers may exit more frequently, like a food or drink area, or a more sought after attraction.

In all, I would recommend this trolley. We used it for one day and did not find it necessary to need a second day. We explored our furthest attractions on day 1 with the trolley, where there is limited parking and on day 2 we parked at the trolley station (stop 1) to explore the old jail and old store. From there we went to the Fountain of Youth and then Ripley's. These were all close to where we were staying and had plenty of parking. But this was best for our group. Your lodging may dictate a different option.

We enjoyed our trolley tour. The Preacher was our driver. He told great stories and we could hear him all the way in the back. The tour was very informative and entertaining. We are glad we booked the Hop-on Hop-Off Trolley.

For parking we recommend parking at the garage for $15 per day. There are two Trolley stops within walking distance of the garage.

The only reason we did not give 5 stars was the wait to get on. There were stops with long lines to get on and minimal number of people getting off. Credit to the company, the driver radioed back and empty trolley came in 5 to 10 min at the two stops that had waiting tourists.

The conductors and ticket sales personnel at the main station were helpful, pleasant, and went well above what is expected to make people feel comfortable while waiting for a trolley. That being said, the trolley would have been a great way to hear the history of St. Augustine and see the sights, but the trolleys were filled to capacity with lots of people waiting for a ride. There was a march downtown which held up the trolleys, so there were extenuating circumstances. The trolley company, however; did not seem to plan for the scheduled gridlock of trolleys. People waiting for up to 4 trolleys before a seat was available. That is an hour waiting. Some drivers were flippant about the lack of seating to the point of apathy. Others were more caring. The history shared was somewhat questionable, especially the Woolworth's sit-in. One driver made is appear that the sit-ins began in St. Augustine. The Greensboro 5 were the ones who started the movement at Woolworths in NC. Additionally, the tip containers were positioned in the middle of the front window so that guests seated in the center seat could not see. The two female drivers were more understanding when dealing with the increased traffic.

Priced fairly, we did a combined trolley tour of Old Town with the jail, store, and museum, as well as Fountain of Youth. Loved to be able to hop on and off wherever we felt like exploring. We hopped on in the shopping district, enjoyed riding a while, hopped off at each of our adventure stops, and hopped off in another shopping and dining district. It was a nice rest on the feet and legs between tours. The trolley driver guides were very informative and fun. Riding the trolley was a great way to see St. Augustine from every point. It is a bit of work to get on and off, especially for small children, elderly, disabled, or large sized people. However, the trolley guide rings the bell at each stop, allows plenty of time for you to make your way on and off, and explains the correct safe way to enter and exit. We can not wait to return and ride the trolley again to some of the other attractions and museums we didn’t get to see this time.

The wife and I take this tour very often. Great deal to get on and off the trolley at any of their stops for 3 days, one price and you can park for free, parking very hard to find in St. Augustine unless you know the area. Much better than driving all over the city. Great tour guides-drivers, and very informative, they know a lot about the city and the history. would recommend this tour to everyone the first time to get their bearings.
