Great tour, we enjoyed our time with Noah the driver, and the restaurant he recommend (McGuires Irish Pub)
Our driver Noah was great! Friendly, Knowledgeable, and very helpful! There are interesting sights and good restaurants all along the tour. The meeting point for the tour is 610 N Spring Street, Pensacola FL.

    Disappointed
I feel it was the bare minimum since we were the only two. The owner was friendly but the tour did not include riding in the bus as advertised and she immediately told us it will be an hour when clearly it says 2 hours on the advertisement

Not what I had hoped for.
The driver was extremely kind and helpful but the tour was video based which was disappointing. I had expected the tour to focus heavily on the history of Pensacola. There were a few historical sites on the tour but it seemed like the main purpose was to showcase the shops and restaurants in the area and the discounts we could receive. Seemed more like a Chamber of Commerce tour.

Hop on Hop off tour of Pensacola.
Ivy, our tour of driver was a very knowledgeable and wonderful lady. She was very courteous and answered all of our questions. She was an absolute breath of fresh air! I would recommend taking this tour whenever you could! I couldn’t have had a better experience anywhere.

    Ghost Tour 10/23
We weee t sure what to expect, but we’re pleasantly surprised. The 1930 Ford truck was cool. The stories of the locations were great, but stopping in the graveyard and visiting Millie’s grave was the best part of the trip!

    Short tour
Guide was very good. You watch a video as you drive along the route with guide (driver) interjecting info. Wish the tour would have included a larger area of Pensacola.

    Great visit
The visit here was awesome. The history of everything. So much to see and learn from. My kids all liked it. And it’s FREE!!! I would say to make sure you make the time to go we spent 3 hrs there and we didn’t even do the movies. There is a charge for the movies and motion rides.

Let's see if Molly lives up to her reputation!
Terry Sanders was our guide, and he went out of his way to tell us some stories beyond the narration. I am not a fan of gory movies, so I agree with some comments that those could have been eliminated from the video, and it would not diminish the experience. The bus was comfortable, and the length of the tour was just right. The price is fair and I'm glad I went. I would give Terry a 5* rating, the movie clips knocked my rating down.

    Great way to see Pensacola!
I was in town for just a few days and this was the perfect way to see and tour Pensacola! We rode in a vintage 1953 bus and for two hours drove thru all the old, historic neighborhoods and downtown area, seeing all the beautiful houses and historic landmarks. Each seat has a screen that tells the haunted history of all the places you are seeing, but our driver was wonderful and pulled over many times to tell us more facts and stories! St John's graveyard was my favorite spot. It's an old, charming but spooky, Gothic graveyard that is still used today. You'll get to get off the bus and walk around a bit. Take lots of photos! You'll never know when you may capture a mysterious orb or see something you didn't see with the naked eye! All in all, I had a great time and this was the perfect way to see all the parts of town and the downtown area when you don't have a lot of time to explore on your own. I highly recommend it!

Host was amazing. Lots of fun. The video was full or corny dad jokes but very informative. I loved hearing about all the history.

Different than other ghost tours but had a great time!
Been on many ghost tours and this one was fun and different due to the videos on the bus tour and the fact that we were in a cool old-fashioned retro bus. There was a video screen for each pair of seats so you could easily watch and the video told local stories and showed lots of interesting pictures of the people and places involved. It was campy and a little scary due to the clips from horror movies that were a part of it, so if you don’t like horror movies or think your kids will not like them, this may not be for you. My girls - 13 and 16 - were ok with it and took it in stride though :) I particularly liked that the videos also taught you about various kinds of haunts and there were little quizzes to test your knowledge throughout. The guide was personable and knowledgeable and friendly, and often stopped the video to tell us more details or other stories which was great. You get out of the bus once about halfway through to stretch your legs and check out a particular grave in one of the huge local cemeteries. That was cool. Only recommendation would be to take the earlier tour because once it gets dark it difficult to see the homes we stopped to see from the bus windows. We did that based on another review and were glad we did. It was not like a typical walking ghost tour in that we covered a LOT of ground - there’s no way you could have walked that distance. There were a lot of homes/buildings on the tour but you didn’t get out so you couldn’t get a real feel for each one like you do on a waking tour. For some that could be a drawback. But there was almost always no where to park so we could get out safely, etc. so I understand why we stayed on the bus. If you take it for what it is and are cool with that, it’s just fine. The tour is a good 2 hours so we thought it was well worth the money and we all enjoyed it a lot. Learned quite a bit about the history of the area too, so if you’re into that kind of thing like we are, you’ll love it :)

Tour was interesting and seemed comprehensive. Was disappointed that the driver was just that… the driver. Very nice and pleasant but he didn’t really talk very much. The tour was given via a video on a tv screen narrated by a long-time Pensacola resident and historian. Could have done a self guided tour using an app on my iPhone and paid a lot less. IMHO, If I were starting a tour company, I would do the exact opposite. I would hire tour guides with perky personalities that truly loved their jobs and were able to answer questions and make the tour interesting. This company’s business model is all about taking as much tourists’ money as we can and spend as little as possible on outstanding, experienced and enthusiastic tour guides. This experience is lost in a sea of mediocrity. Skip the tour and find an app that will give you a better experience.

Firstly, I'm sorry you cannot accept technology. On the website, it plainly describes the fact we use videos. We all have spent money hearing guides with "perky personalities" misinform us where "George Washington slept here". That is the primary reason Go Retro utilizes technology so the same consistent and correct story is related. Secondly, Florida state law prohibits a driver from talking and driving. One is supposed to stop and then talk. With your business model, tour companies would have to employ an extra person. As it is, operating a tour company costs a great deal in compensation, bus maintenance and insurance. Thirdly, it would cost lots of money to create an "app". Some have done that in Pensacola, and every company has failed. Go Retro has been in operation since 2012 and is the longest operating historic tour company in the city. I urge you to try us out again and embrace technology. All our drivers can answer most any questions as we regularly have sessions where we review the material.

My boyfriend and I were able to do this tour while we were in town for Memorial Day. It was our first time to Pensacola so we decided this would be a great way to learn about the area. The day of the tour we ended up being the only customers and we had a GREAT time. So thankful for Mr. Leeroy, our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable on the city, good places to eat, things to see, and overall just a friendly guy. He also brought along his grandson, which made for added entertainment. Would highly recommend this company/tour to anyone who visits Pensacola.

The tour was very good, we saw several landmarks in Pensacola we would not have found on our own. The driver was friendly and always helpful. We certainly enjoyed the stop at the Visitor’s Center.

The video narrator seemed knowledgeable of Pensacola, but video needs revision to leave out the corny jokes. One “joke” was particularly cringeworthy.

A leisurely ride through Pensacola. Tour is narrated by a video that needs updating, with jokes that range from corny to cringy. Fine for getting a feel for the layout of the city, some of its history, and identifing some places you'll want to return to later.

I have never been on a tour where the operator did not speak. The whole tour was from a video that played in the bus. The video was not in-sync with the various "landmarks". The highlight was a stop at the visitors center.

We did not ride in a "retro vehicle", we rode in passenger van with a leaky air conditioner. The driver kept riding over the curbs!

One of the "landmarks" was a vacant parking lot with a ten minute video about a local christian college.

Overall a very disappointing tour. Would not recommend for anyone.

In the state of Florida, the driver is not allowed to drive and talk at the same time. This is for passengers' safety. Clearly, you did not read the website, which describes what the company does and that the Retro vehicle isn't always available. The driver had to use the larger vehicle because there were so many passengers. Downtown streets can be very tight--sorry the driver hit a curb or two and was not as proficient in his timing; he's new. Most people are amazed about the Pensacola Christian School story--a day school that morphed into a multi-million dollar business. (All you saw was the parking lot, and you did not see or listen to the commentary.) If Go Retro were located where Jeff Bezos had begun Amazon out of his garage, I would want to drive by that. Go Retro could show a photo of what it looked like when he began it, and then you could see what it looks like today. I'm sorry Go Retro couldn't live up to your high expectations.

Our tour was cancelled 1 hour before it was supposed to start. I was disappointed with the very late notice as it messed up our plans for the day. This possibility was mentioned in the description, but it said they would try to give us a 24 hour notice, not a 1 hr notice.

Iris was a great tour guide on our trip. This is a small family owned tour company that really cares about all their guests. They were willing to pick us up anywhere in Pensacola and drop us off again. No complaints about our experience!

Upon arrival in Pensacola, I went straight to the Visitor's Center for information as to how to see the sights in one day. It was a weekday, and not too busy, so I decided upon the Go Retro Tour. Lynn was my tour guide. She was very professional and courteous. She immediately got me on the bus and off we went. We picked up a few other people on the route and I did the recommended complete tour first. She then dropped me off near Palafox Street by Jackson's Steak House, leaving me a card with a cell number to call so she could pick me up when I was ready. She was there promptly after I walked around, had lunch and saw some of the sights. Lynn was fabulous and gave us a lot of information about the city. I would highly recommend this tour.
