The crew was very helpful. We were both unsure about the whole snorkeling thing but we both wanted to try it and was glad we did.
The Island Time sailing catamaran is docked at Treasure Island Marina, located at 3605 Thomas Drive, Panama City Beach, FL 32408. Arrive 30 minutes prior to departure time, which is about 3 hours East of Pensacola.
Once you're on the boat.....relax and unwind! You're on Island Time! Listen to our fun and relaxing playlist while you visit the bartender in the galley to get an ice cold beverage or snack. Then sit back and enjoy the view!
You will cruise for about 30 minutes to a spot behind Shell Island. The crew will anchor the boat as shallow as possible, typically around 5ft deep, depending on wave conditions. You and the family can get in the water by going down the waterslide or walking down the descending staircase. You’ll be provided with masks and snorkels to use, or you can bring your own. While snorkeling you can find starfish, sanddollars, hermit crabs, blue crabs, sea urchins, fish and more!
If snorkeling isn’t your cup of tea, don’t worry, there are lots of options! There are two stand-up paddleboards and kids love going down the slide over and over again. And if you really just want some relaxation you can stay on the boat and kick back with a drink while soaking up the sun. The bartender will keep your drinks coming and there are two restrooms and a shaded area to keep you comfortable.
If Shell Island is calling your name be sure to head up to shore right away so you have ample time for all the activities. We do recommend wearing water shoes if possible, to avoid stepping on anything unpleasant. While on the beach you’ll need to stay on Bay side because you have to stay within view of the boat. While onshore you can explore and let the kids run around and hunt for crabs.
After Shell Island it's time to go looking for dolphins! If conditions are favorable the boat will take you through the shipping channel to the Gulf of Mexico. This is where the local pods of dolphins are often feeding and swimming along or jumping out of the water. Here babies can be seen with their moms and pods can swim right under the boat, giving you the full grasp of their beauty and size. The boat will generally stay in the vicinity of the dolphins for a little while, giving you ample time to take pictures and watch from the boat. We cannot guarantee seeing the dolphins, but we will certainly try our best!
On the way back to the dock is when the crew kicks it up a notch with games and dancing.

This was really just a boat ride to a snorkeling spot. It was a nice time, but fell short if expectations. From the moment you board the ship they're trying to sell you photos and drinks, so that's somewhat irritating. The tour advertisement is misleading...More
