    Fun water park
We were at Disney the week Typhoon Lagoon closed and Blizzard Beach opened - so got to experience both water parks. We prefer TL - but that doesn't mean BB isn't fun. If you are staying on site - you need to take a bus to Animal Kingdom park and then transfer from there. Rides were fun - and there are a couple of good areas for younger kids. Had a good day - but prefer rides and theming at TL.

    An enjoyable experience
I like Blizzard beach. It isn't as popular as Volcano Bay but it being a little less busy is part of the attraction. Free parking. Excellent coffee. Some excellent food choices and ... Relatively cheap lockers ! Ideal for all the family.

    Take the plunge
I've braved a skydive, bungee jumped of a bridge and taken on all the rollercoasters Disney/Universal had to offer, but I've never felt adrenaline like laying down, arms and legs crossed, ready for the Summit Plummet. That is one scary MF of a water slide and it's the centrepiece of a pretty brilliant water park. We went out of season so the queues didn't make you question the very meaning of existence, and every ride took between 0 to 5 minutes to get on. It has something for every age, from the baby's to the grandparents, with a big range of slides, tabogans and shoots. The park also had a good range of food and drink. We sampled some of the cocktails from the Pub on the Beach. They packed more of a punch on the wallet than anywhere else, but nothing you wouldn't out of the ordinary from the other theme parks where the concept of fair pricing is an alien one. If you're in Orlando, you need to pay Blizzard Beach a visit.

    Great waterpark for toddlers
We enjoyed our day at the Blizzard Beach. It was a perfect water park for my toddler to try out water slides and tubing. The amenities were clean, lots of staff around to supervise, and many chairs to use.

    Good park and fun!
We went as a last minute attraction. The park seemed clean. The locker system was easy to understand. You can go back and forth to it without a problem. We found an area for the rest of our stuff.. towels, etc. We used it as our base camp for our group. The park itself felt clean. The water was warm in all the attractions. The lines were manageable. The only problem was that the park closed at 5! My group did enjoy it just the same!

Upsetting to score Disney so low!
Absolutely gutted to score Disney so low! We visited on the first day it reopened in November (13th nov by memory). Disney stated it had previously been closed for refurbishment but judging from the lack of cleanliness, I don’t understand how this was the case? The truth is, staff from typhoon lagoon have been shipped over to blizzard beach because that had now closed and Disney were only operating one water park at a time. We arrived early and the park was late opening. The members of staff dealing with the upgraded beach loungers didn’t know what the prices were. The coffee and donut hut was late opening (the member of staff was very rude as well!) and everything appeared to be a last minute rush of confusion! The towels were stained, the park wasn’t clean and rides were closed with no reason why! It is worth mentioning later in the day the rides opened. Believe me when I say this review is painful to write because I consider myself a Disney super fan but I left blizzard beach totally underwhelmed from the previous years I’ve visited. It was as if the magic had been switched off and opening the park was a formality with no care taken into consideration. We actually extended our Disney stay to visit this water park and I left really upset and underwhelmed. No Disney magic… nothing!

    Good trip
Located on the grounds of Disneyland Resort and also one of Walt Disney's top amusement parks. The large space with magnificent castles, exciting games and impressive scenery in this park will bring you memorable moments in your trip to America.

Water Babies will love the rides.
My kids love water rides and the best ones are at Blizzard Beach! Managed to get a visit in before the recent closure. Covid measures were adhered to and the park was very clean and sanitized. The locker area and toilets looked newly refurbished. We did not realize that there is now a charge for towels. Ok it is only $2 per towel but the towels are super small and thin so really need 2 to cover your lounger. I would recommend you take your own if visiting. Nice though that this park does not charge the $25 parking fees like all the other ones do, it is free.

    Great waterpark
Theming and layout are outstanding. Very clean and staff is helpful. Amenities are plentiful from lockers, showers, towels, drinks, etc. Food is lackluster by Disney standards and still too expensive however park is only open for 6-7 hours so not a huge deal.

    Good choice
MAny rides, some for the brave, some for families. Many, many places to sit. Some in the shade and some in the sun. Good eats. Great family water park. No crowds at this time of the year, even though Disney’s other water park was closed for refurbishment.

    Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service! We spent hours on hours setting up our Disney trip. When we get to blizzard beach, our group of 21, was told our reservation was not set up properly but what they can do is charge us all $25 more per person to get in. So, we spent hours to get this all set up, Disney messed it up and the resolution was to charge us more. The first I went to Disney, 10 years ago, I walked away saying best service ever. Now they are junk just like any other company. I would highly recommend universal as they still know what customer service is.

    Amazing day
Visited 2019, what a great way to spend your day, the lazy river is great and very relaxing, the flumes/slides are excellent and very different to each other. The different areas for different aged group kids means everyone can enjoy it.

Great day at a fun water park
Blizzard Beach is the only Disney water park that is open (Typhoon Lagoon is still closed). We came here for the day and booked a "private patio". While this is expensive (USD$360 + tax, for an off-season slow day), we definitely enjoyed the perks it offered. We had our own private seating area with umbrella, towels, locker, cooler with ice, complimentary unlimited bottled water and complimentary refillable mugs for soft drinks all day long. We had a great attendant, Erik, who would pick up food orders that we placed using mobile order, as well as get us cocktails/drinks from the bar. The patio could seat up to 6 people, so if you're splitting the cost amongst a group of friends, the cost isn't that extravagant. It was a fairly quiet day at the park, so the lines for most of the slides were quite short. We got to go on everything that we wanted without waiting more than 5 minutes.

Loved revisiting one of our favourite florida water parks, last here 8yrs ago & happy to report the water park does exactly what it's supposed to. Exciting family fun for all ages, appropriate water rides fr all sizes of children & adults.
We visited with older teens this time (16&18) and although the most thrilling water slides are at Blizzard Beach which is currently closed fr refurbishment, we all still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The lads Loved the lagoon wave pool & the faster water rides (humunga kowabunga & storm slides) the lazy river was fab too for a relaxing float around the whole resort on Inflatable seats & rings
There's free life vests for all ages too should you need them.
Ĺockers are £10 fr a small one (enough to pop a couple pairs of shoes & a bag)
£15 fr a larger locker.
Refillable soda cups are $12 & there are stations all around the park, you can reuse them on yr next visit fr a cost of $6 so well worth it if you have a couple of kids. You can hire towels but we took our own. Toilets & changing rooms appeared clean were checked regularly by cast members who kept them clean.

Beds are free & cabanas are available but get booked out early.

We noticed how many more cast staff there are compared to our last visit & all very friendly & professional, they're very serious about safety, particularly in the wave pool, which tbf is for everyone's safety so listen!

Overall Disney do pools very well, happy to spend alot of time here.

It's the best water park in the world (sorry Tenerife Siam Park lovers!). The theming, the ease of parking, the beaches, the wave pool, slides are great with short queues even at peak times, food and drinks are excellent. It's just an all round fantastic place.

If you pushed me to criticise I would say the sun loungers are terrible as they're unadjustable and the lack of umbrellas and shade is unfathomably strange for a business as great as Disney not to see it's quite the issue especially for families with young children.

If you get there at opening (park opens at 10am but you can get there early and queue up within the park) you can nab the shaded areas though so the lesson here is get there early else you're really going to be in full sun all day.

Lastly a big shout out to the life guards. They're just fantastic. These aren't your local swimming pool disinterested surly bunch these guys and girls are clearly properly trained, work as a team and they make you feel exceptionally safe at all times.

There's no better water park better than Typhoon Lagoon folks. (FYI don't bother with Volcano Bay it's terrible).

The water park is done well. We enjoyed the lazy river for a major part of the day. The slides are good. Our fav was the family raft ride. One was way too bumpy-speed bumps down the slide. We did rent a cabana, which are hard to come by unless you book up to 60 days in advance. They did have 3 open that morning when we checked in, but the cast member said they went right away. So I wouldn't count on it. They also rent umbrellas. If you're coming in the summer and are unfamiliar with Florida sun, do get one. I read Disney's site about proper swim wear. Well, they do not enforce this. I was fairly upset with quite a few G string type suits and found it annoying as I had my grandkids with me. Disney should enforce their rules. I think they've gotten way to lax in an effort not to upset anyone. Sorry. I don't need someone's butt in my face at a Disney park. Save it for the hotel or the beach. Food was good, and of course, what you'd pay in one of the theme parks. Do go to the Landing for ice cream. It's worth it. All in all, we had a great day and we do plan to return. Lots of lifeguards. Staff is very friendly and looked after us. The water slides at Universal's Volcano Bay are better, if that's what you're after. But the wave pool, lazy river, and some tamer slides were our cup of tea . Oh, if you have little ones, TL does have a childrens' area that is very nice.

Frequent vistors, we love the waterpark however I was astounded at the grievous lack of commitment to patron and staff safety when a band of severe thunderstorms pummeled the park for hours leaving hundreds if not thousands of guests and lifeguards huddled within a few sheltered areas or out in the open. Naturally the water attractions were 'temporarily closed' but restaurants and bars remained open for business if you didn't mind rainwater dilution. (The free popcorn, ice cream and a few select self serve lukewarm sodas -there was no ice-were not available until 8 PM, two hours after event admission the rain and lightening began.) As you can imagine, families with children grew more and more irritable and ones without them hit the bars. The result was hundreds of people including lots of children with park weary parents playing under the lightening studded skies in the giant water puddles that formed on the manmade beach in the pouring rain. For hours a recording played telling park guests to take shelter due to approaching thunderstorms but there was not enough shelter for everyone. My 10 year old niece and I sat on a picnic bench with no protection from the lightening or rain. Eventually a bunch of lifeguards were instructed to sweep the puddles from the beach area (while it was lightening)- I suppose to discourage children from playing in them. The DJ briefly set up and played music with strobe lights, then stopped citing the danger- for the DJ or the couple hundred tipsy people dancing in the thunderstorm, I'm not sure. Having spent about $160 on our two event tickets, my niece and I kept waiting for an announcement that we could get a refund or a raincheck but it never came. At 9:00 PM, after 3 hours, we finally decided we'd had enough. As we left the park we were handed a ticket inviting us back free of charge. It was raining so I didn't have a chance to read the restrictions. Why couldn't have an announcement been made and why weren't families with small children offered that option to begin with when it was clear there wasn't enough shelter for everyone? Yes everyone has a personal responsibility for safety and the safety of their children, but it seemed like Disney magic overtook common sense. It's only luck that no was hurt or killed.

Today, July 17, 2024, I went with my family and children on vacation from Puerto Rico to the Typhoon Lagoon water park. When we went to the Humunga Kowabunga attraction and while we were waiting in line the employee named Tevita from Tonga, Hawaii made a racist comment towards us who are Latinos (Puerto Ricans) and he started laughing and the people (Americans) who were in The line before us laughed at his comment. The employee told us: “Take off your shoes, glasses and Mexican tacos.” My children and we feel very uncomfortable and saddened by this unfortunate situation. Employees like Tevita (Tonga, Hawaii) should not work in customer service, since this is in a park where so many tourist families with children from different countries visit. I hope this unfortunate incident does not happen again. Also when we went to rent the towels the employee (an older lady from Washington DC, I don't remember her name. She greeted very kindly the American people who were in line before us and when our turn came, not even a greeting of good morning or hello No thanks, he told us and treated us with arrogance. I hope the park administration guides its employees about improving customer service and zero tolerance for racism and discrimination against families based on race or nationality. All customers deserve respect, good treatment and service. Thank you!!!

Really enjoyed this day. Stayed from opening to close. Treated ourselves to a Cabana. Service was exceptional and the sharing platters available to cabana guests were really good value. Lovely setting, very chilled out. Great slides for older kids. Little ones loved the lazy river and splash park.

We have a florida residents pass and added water parks to it. Spent a full day in typhoon lagoon with a toddler (3) and it was awesome. These are the lessons we have learned: for our family and needs we decided that arriving 30’ prior to opening is key to get location. Sitting close to where a 3 y/o will enjoy the most (the slides for kids) at the beach area where he would spend most time. There was plenty of shade areas to sit and eat. Having a smart watch with your credit card is a plus to not have to have cards or mobile with you. Temperature was perfect and water was cool enough to enjoy and refresh. We took our picnic cooler and that was great. We bought a 13 dollar drink tumbler that gives you free refills that day and $5 activation of a daily refill next time. Our kid had a blast. Rides were fast to line up for (15’ max) and all were suitable for him being 44 inches tall with only one exception. It felt quiet and relaxing. We will come back very frequently now that we built the right intel and it was added to our passes.

Overall, we were quite disappointed with Typhoon Lagoon. We go primarily for the slides, we don't eat at the parks as they are always horrendously expensive and poor quality. Looking at other guests food, Typhoon would have been no different, but we didn't experience it ourselves.

PROS

Presentation was good, as Disney knows how to do that well. The wave pool was also very good. Big,singular wave that was possible to body surf when the pool was quiet.

Cons

Lack of signage. Very hard to find the various attractions.

Lazy River, this was Very lazy and supposed to be for relaxing, except it wasnt as you were permanently crammed up against other people.
All the slides were very underwhelming, and we didn't ride any twice. There were no 'showstoppers' and some of the better rides were so short it just wasn't worth the effort.
Save your time and money and go to Aquatica or Volcano Bay.

We booked a cabana for both day which was $340 dollar but this gave us a base with a safe, unlimited free drinks all day, towels and the services of a concierge who would get food and bring it to us if we wanted to order it. The park itself is well laid out with loads of rides. We managed to get 3 water rides done within the first 20 minutes before moving over to the huge wave pool which was great fun. After this we hit the drop slides which were good although a bit warm under foot getting up to them. We then went and did the 3 medium slides that are all together and managed to get these down in under 30 mins. A few circuits of the lazy river before lunch and we order the nachos which came with a plethora of side bits which we took home for evening meals for the next few days. Post lunch we did the larger water ride before more time on the lazy river interspersed by body surfing in the wave pool.
A much more fun and relaxed vibe than volcano bay and a better experience

This was an extra-ordinary experience. Me, Luigi, Dominique and Billy had a bundle of laughs the Disney spirit came into us!!! However, we did have a little accident in the lazy river - poor luigi ate some spicy chicken wings and it blew is wig off. billy had some trouble in the changing rooms as he got trapped in a locker whilst trying to free a moth but staff were exceptionally helpful and even brought out a crowbar. didn't see billy for the rest of the day, what a laugh! The surf pool was something else Dominique was swept off her feet any times and got fed up but a long sunbathing sesh made up for it. was rather disappointed when they wouldn't let me take my loaded dog and large coke on the slides with me, it has always been a dream of mine to guzzle down a glizzy whilst surfing some gnarly waves. the compromise they made was for me to eat my food and then ride the waves. bad news, i did not wait 20 minutes. lets just say, I took myself to brown town. I didn't make it as there was still a commotion over billy in the changing rooms which blocked my way to the bathroom. when I finally made it to the bathroom there wasn't much business left to do... Had a blast, would recommend and have already booked our holiday next year, although they did say we had to go online to do this and that "the life guards don't have the resources to book a holiday"
anyone who wishes to join us well be there on the 22nd of June 2024!!!
