- Bogotarocks0 contributionsIncredible water parkThis for me is probably the greatest water park I have ever been to. Great theming, great slides, good food options, and of course the amazing wave machine. We were here out of season -and there were next to no queues. We last came just after COVID and there were no character meets - but this time you could meet Mickey and Minnie on the beach. You can wait an hour to see those two in the parks - but the queues here were 10 seconds to meet them. Amazing day out.Written November 20, 2024
- CBlake1230 contributionsStill the best ......Still my favourite water park ! Has the best wave machine EVER. We even paid full price as it was the only Disney park we visited. I love the tropical plants. We enjoyed the tube rides, and loved crush and gusher.Written October 23, 2024
- laj2e70 contributionsFamily fun in a beautiful setting.I haven’t been there in years but the setting remains beautiful and well maintained. If you are not staying in a Disney hotel, bring a towel. I recommend water and lots of sunscreen. As usual with Disney, there is very limited shade. There are umbrellas for our purchase. There is a great mix of attractions for young kids, family and mild thrill seekers. The splash pad has lots to do and is very safe. There are lots of lifeguards throughout park. The slides are well-monitored by guards. There is Disney food available for those who do not want to bring a picnic. The stores have lots of great products including the basics you might forget. Parking is free and relatively easy.Written October 18, 2024
- artemis8460 contributionsGreat Disney ParkThe best wave pool I have ever been in!! Water is warm! Great rides. Something for everyone. FREE PARKING!!!! Can bring cooler into the park- no alcohol.Written October 4, 2024
- AndrewB25670 contributionsNot enough thrill for us but we did have a nice day out by the water. Not changed much in the last 20 years....It's a nice water park and great for the little ones. The majority of the slides are disappointing if your after a thrill. They do gave one vertical slide where you can race in 3's which was probably the best slide. The others where you went down on your back you could feel every joint on the slide on the way down and did not offer a smooth ride. The tube slides are OK, and was a nice relaxing day as the park was not that busy. The lazy river was nice and relaxing and a great way to travel around the park. The waves are amazing in the main pool and was probably the highlight of the day 😉 🌊 If you want thrills, I would definitely go to Volcano Bay and miss out Typhoon Lagoon. But if you are looking for a great day out in a water park with younger kids which is relaxing then this park is great. Getting to the water park is a bit of a pain if you're not staying at Disney as you have to go to Disney Springs to catch a transfer which takes some planning.Written September 7, 2024
- pknight3310 contributionsGive us a breakArrived at this waterpark on a very, very hot August day. To my amazement, there were only a handful of static sunshades which were all taken. We had to hire three at a cost of 90 dollars which made me angry as this is a cost that we shouldn't be expected to pay at a waterpark, in August, at Disney who should have a duty of care to its customers who have already paid a fee to enter the park. I did vent my frustration to a manager who understood my frustration and paid for our lunch. Needless to say, I emailed Disney on this matter but never got a reply. Besides this matter, the park is fun but the crowds and costs spoil it.Written August 21, 2024
- kyam14220 contributionsWaste of timeVisited here 7/8/24 which was our first water park for our three week holiday . We arrived at 9-30 am and for once didn’t have to pay for parking . That bonus soon came to an end !! That’s the only bonus to this place. I came here over 13 years ago and the experience then was far better . Today we were told most attractions were down other than the wave pool and slusher gusher and family ride next door . The rest of the park was out of action until past 2pm when everyone just rushed from the wave pool to the lazy river . They said there was a water issue which surely could have been dealt with prior to park opening at 10am .. Refill cups are now very expensive 27 odd dollars for two and you now need to pay for a locker which was $15 , again another Disney rip off . You can get a cheaper locker but they are not big so good luck !! My last trip in 2011 they were free like all car parks across Disney … So our trip to a water park for getting not a lot was just a waste of time . The refill stations for the drinks were horrendous full of wasps everywhere so you took your chances on not getting stung filling up your cup . Busy all over , to get a sun bed you had to be lucky and we were in early .. I have been to many water parks over my time and if I just compare one such as the one in Dubai at the palm jumeirah hotel it’s like a night and day experience with that one being so much better .. Terrible experience overall .. won’t be back !!!Written August 7, 2024
- FAFNAR0 contributionsH20 evening at Typhoon Lagoon is the best.We went to the H20 evening at Typhoon Lagoon. It was so much fun. The crowds are much less than during the day. The lines for the water slides were much shorter. The wave pool was warm, the pavement was not hot, and the snacks of Mickey ice cream was ideal. Since evenings in Central Florida are so warm, it was very comfortable going around in a swimsuit. We can't wait to go back next year.Written July 24, 2024
- iheartjax0 contributionsTwo thumbs up!We recently visited Typhoon Lagoon with school aged children. We arrived at the park shortly after it opened which is recommended as it gets crowded. We quickly grabbed a couple chairs to set up our stuff after getting towels ($2 charge). We were happy they allow soft coolers so we brought water, juice boxes, snacks, to go along with our lunch purchase. The dining options were great, mobile order ahead was definitely a perk. Free ice water at various stations so bringing a reusable water bottle is also a great idea. And who doesn't leave a Disney park without a mickey ears dessert or dole whip! YUM. The park itself is well kept, lots of areas for all ages. Parking was free and easy especially if you arrive early. The wave pool and lazy river were our favorites. The slides were also a hit and the lines were not too long. Our tip would be to purchase water shoes as the concrete can get warm in the Florida sun and it made it a little more comfortable climbing stairways for the slides. An inexpensive pair would do just fine for the day. Overall, it was a great trip and even better since we were able to take advantage of Disney passholder discounted rates. We'd definitely return again!Written July 23, 2024

- anthonysM9808XD0 contributionsMagical trip to Typhoon Lagoon WOWAll you need to know is that at Disney magic really can happen. The next thing you need to know is the amazing cast members Amber and Jesus. They went above and beyond. We are a family of 4 -6,11,39,42 with a SEN child. We were waiting to enter the park at 0930am to get a good spot. The two cast members came over to us and asked our children if they wanted to go in first and open the park - OMG . - private tour, - meet the staff - first to ride any ride of our choice before anyone else - FREE private cabana - and more - nanes on the special guest board, Disney autographs Our family is literally stunned , it was the best day we have ever had. EVER. 5* review !!!Written June 6, 2024
- JessW370 contributionsLovely water parkWe had a lovely day here. We were lucky enough to get a family cabana, which was worth doing for a private space, it also came with unlimited soft drinks. It is a shame that Blizzard Beach was closed as we used to love visiting both Disney water parks, I hope that they can have both parks open at the same time soon. There are some really fun attractions here, the water coaster is great fun, as well as some raft rides and body slides. It is a shame that they got rid of the shark pool as I loved this experience! As much as I love this park, I have to say that Volcano Bay has the edge over this one!Written April 8, 2024
- MikeFromRivalTown0 contributionsFantastic water park, especially the wave pool!I wanted to rate this a 5 BUT the only reason it’s not is because they got rid of the snorkel attraction but didn’t replace it with anything else, they just covered it up and made it another lounging section with beach chairs….pretty lame if you ask me. Putting that aside though, this is a fantastic water park. Great slides, especially Crush n Gusher, world class wave pool, fun shipwreck theming, and DOKE WHIP! I’m not sure if they’re still selling the Hei Hei Cones anymore, but if they are you gotta try one! It’spretty much pineapple and raspberry dole whip. Be warned, if you’re not a strong swimmer, be careful in the wave pool…this one isn’t for the faint of hearts, it gets pretty intense, I once got a black eye in that pool as a kid.Written December 18, 2023
- L18SUM0 contributionsHalf day visitOur family of two adults, an 8 year old and a 6 year old visited here for a half day during our two weeks holiday in October. We stayed at the Art of Animation resort so took a bus to Disney Springs and changed to a bus for the water park - real easy. The park is welcoming with shower and locker facilities at the entrance. We picked a sun bed and chairs to the left of the entrance so we were close to the big wave pool. Arriving at around 10:30, there were some sun beds left but mostly taken. There's loads of chairs though. As we were resort guests, we were provided with towels from the shop on arrival. The wave pool is amazing and our kids enjoyed splashing on the waves. For the strongest waves, they put on the jackets to help them float which were provided around the park and in different sizes. The water slides were split into group rides (a number of you sharing a rubber ring) and individual ones. We didn't go on the most extreme ones but all the ones we went on were good fun. The lazy river was a big hit even if you have to wade around waiting for some floats to become available. There is a splash area for younger kids but we didn't go there as our kids are older now. We felt the park was safe with plenty of staff and lifeguards around. We didn't try the food outlets as we brought a packed lunch and were only there for a half day. A worthwhile visit to break up the holiday. Enjoy!Written November 2, 2023
- 325christyr0 contributionsNice little water park for a fun chilled out day , but bad changing facilitiesIt's a brilliant chilled out waterpark . So if you want thrilling rides like Wet n Wild used to offer... You won't find them hear , however the rides are still really fun ! The wave machine is actually really good and it was quite challenging swimming to the back of the pool where these were on because they are huge waves ! We rented the posher chairs for the day and it was nice to relax a little and do some easy fun water rides after a whole day theme parks the day before . The ladies changing facilities let it down , they were filthy, no toilet paper, broken showers, and It just let the park down , yes I get it's a water park , but it's Disney , in Orlando Florida ? The standard in there seemed on par with visiting a dirty ran down place.. Not Disney . I did tell staff at the park about it but they just said oh interesting... Very sub par customer service for Disney ... If they fixed this issue I would come again.Written November 2, 2023

The event was advertised with enticing perks, including free drinks, ice cream, popcorn, and the promise of "walk-on" rides due to limited ticket availability. On paper, this seemed like the perfect evening out. Unfortunately, the execution was far from perfect.
Snacks were disappointingly hard to come by. With only one station providing the promised free ice cream and popcorn, located inconveniently across the park, acquiring these treats became a task.
The After Hours event was a disappointment, failing to live up to its enticing advertisement. It was marked by operational inefficiencies, unfulfilled promises, and unimpressive service. In the future, I would appreciate more transparency, better organization, and a higher level of customer service to match the price tag and to provide a truly memorable night.

We went to after hours event at WDW in may for our anniversary. while Disney is perfect in every other way, I cant say i will be back and i have been going to WDW for over 50 years. The line jumpers, the people hiding their arms on the after hours event, the people that say they have family up ahead in line, stressed me out to make it almost not worth paying the money to do an after hour event. i love Disney but they have to figure out how to control the line jumping and monitor the arm bands. we were in long lines when it really shouldnt have been, we had 15 people bump into us to get further ahead in line and we saw people cover their arms and get on rides when they shouldnt have been allowed in the line or even in the park at that time.

Special event? This was one of the worst experiences at Disney we ever had. First, we have been going to Disney at least 1 a year since 1992. I fell in love with it immediately! It was the first trip my husband took me on before we were married. We took each niece and nephew here, brought our parents, had a family reunion and when we adopted our two young boys from state foster care, we brought them here. We’ve done 5 Not so scary Halloween parties, I’ve taken the Wine course doing the food and wine festival and have gone down for the flower show.
Now cut to the Christmas party. This was the biggest let down ever! It was Lame. One of the perks of going to an event was the crowd are smaller. Not in 2023. We could move. Then to our surprise, you needed to purchase the Genie and do Virtual to get in some rides. Again, never had to even get a fast pass before. So now I had to buy a special event ticket, the purchase a genie + and then wait for the ability to do virtual queue.
And worst part of the night, the cookies sucked. It was a total waste of money. We left after an hour of being there.

We went to the H20 glow night and were very disappointed. There were at least 2000 people there, maybe more. We book after hours for less crowds and this definitely was not the case. The only reason we did this at night was the lower crowd levels, it is much cooler at night and uncomfortable walking around so there is no reason to do it.

What a disappointment! Most after hours events don’t disappoint but this one was a BIG let down.
As we walked in, we were greeted with puke at the first major area where you are making decisions on which way to go…gross…that was at 7pm…it was still there when we left at 10:30pm and it wasn’t because no one knew.
The after hours perks: free drinks, free ice cream, free popcorn, “walk on” rides because the ticket is limited. The reality: free drinks - well sadly only one machine was working for drinks and guess what … no carbonation for the whole night. Again, this started before the after hours event and staff was notified…so no soda available for the night and if you wanted water….well the free bottled water we were promised was stand in the line to use the water fountain. We paid for our Dasani’s - $3.50 a piece. Snacks - ice cream and popcorn - located at a single location across the park….and after you wait in the 20 min line…yeah, not worth it.
Let’s talk about people….after hours events are supposed to be limited - exclusive if you will. There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY this event was limited. Rides were taking 60+ mins to ride 1…that means too many people were sold tickets which means it no longer is exclusive and the rides aren’t “walk on.” It also means the park is dirty, there is wet popcorn everywhere, cups everywhere…it wasn’t a Disney experience.
This park was disappointing and honestly, I’m surprised that they still maintain the attendance they do with other parks like Volcano Bay that is in the area and 100x better then what Typhoon Lagoon has to offer.
Skip this park and check out another Disney After Hours event or Volcano Bay!

This review is solely on the H2O glow night event. After hours used to be amazing not anymore. We did 2 other events are were let down, not at all what they used to be. Water park was super crowded waited forever in line. We couldn’t start the event until 8:20 because of the storms so we had already lost time. We got there at 7. No bottled drinks like the other events. Gave out cups no pop anywhere. Water rides were good. No photo pass opportunities which was disappointing since we didn’t bring our phones in. Wouldn’t waste my money on this event again not worth the price.

When I purchased the tickets it didn’t indicate that it was the water park. We went to magic kingdom. Wasted 2 hours. What’s dress for water park.
