About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- AndrewGrimsby0 contributionsHomer Simpson made it all worthwhileMy first visit. Initially a little underwhelmed as it is dated but then we got to the Simpsons area which, for a fan like me, was awesome. Then we got to see Homer walking down the street and got a photo. That made my holiday. But it was pure luck we saw him. Great to see the Blues Brothers too and the parade was fantastic. Still have good memories of the day, though not sure it is worth a return visit.Written December 10, 2024
- elleh890 contributionsVIP tour which was far from vip. Angry Kate from guest services.VIP tour of universal park. My husband surprised me with a vip tour of the universal park at Orlando, and unfortunately that surprise was very quickly turned into an extremely unpleasant experience. We’ve travelled all the way from the UK as part of her honeymoon and have had a great stay in Orlando, and had left the visit to universal as a way to end a beautiful trip on a high. We had asked several members of staff for directions to the meeting place for vip tours, and not one member was able to direct us to the correct location. After several unsuccessful attempts we made the decision to go to guest services, and were greeted by the rudest human I have came across in my life!! Whilst waiting in the line, Kate from customer services yelled at us to step back behind the door, which we obliged to, even though there are no signs that this should be the case. She then passive aggressively also said that some people have no respect for others privacy. We were then called forward by another member to be dealt with, whilst doing so Kate then yelled that we shouldn’t move forward until asked to do so, and then preceded to speak with the customer she was dealing with to say that we weren’t listening. At this point I did ask what she was saying and she continued to aggressively say that we should only come to counter when called even when I explained that we had been asked to come forward. My husband and I were very taken aback by this and did explain this to the adviser who was dealing with us. When we did this Kate then preceded to shout that we were just annoyed that she had told us to follow instructions and were trying to “incite her”. We were eventually directed to the correct place, for the vip tour, with Todd our tour guide. Credit to Todd he did help us cheer up and is an absolute delight, however the experience with Kate was absolutely awful and made the whole experience very un enjoyable. Having already bought a 2 weeks pass and an additional vip tour it has been extremely expensive and certainly does not feel very vip!! It’s also very concerning that such an angry person who lacks patience has been placed in guest services. I would suggest also that other staff should be trained and educated about new products and experiences you guys offer as lack of knowledge does portray incompetence and looks very unprofessional.Written December 10, 2024
- Mohammed B0 contributionsBeware Kate from guest services!Beware Kate from guest services! We had the vip tour and gotten a little lost trying to find the correct entrance. Cast members sent us to the wrong guest services but surely guest services would be helpful right? Think again! We were explaining the situation to our team member only for Kate to accuse us of inciting her. She’s dangerous and needs to be fired asapWritten December 9, 2024
- coldandquietlover0 contributionsGreat themeingGreat park with amazing theming. You honestly feel like you are in a film set in some areas. The Bourne Identity show is a must see! There seemed to be a lot of simulator rides in this park and I'd say Disney is better for people who are not fans of ridesWritten December 7, 2024
- Conniemama0 contributionsUniversal VIPWe did the VIP experience and it was so much better than the DisneyWorld VIP. Besides getting us on every ride (as many times as we wanted, really loved Hagrid’s ride), we got a visit with the Grinch (he was amazing!) and Universal has food! We had three meals that day that were included at restaurants of our choice. It really was fun and thank you Brittany@the Vacationeer for all her great suggestions.Written December 1, 2024
- Bluezer0 contributionsAmazing UniversalJust returned from a 2 week vacation back to the UK after a 10 year absence. This time though with a 7 year old granddaughter in tow. She loves everything Harry Potter and had an awesome time visiting the Harry Potter world and travelling on the Hogwarts Express. We queued for over an hour for the Hagrid ride only for it to be delayed so that was disappointing. The Jimmy Fallon ride through New York was excellent and there wasn’t a big queue for this attraction so we we repeated it a few times during our stay. The Macy’s Holiday Parade was magical and was definitely worth seeing. Overall a great experience and left great memories of our time spent together there.Written November 30, 2024
- karenaB2246HD0 contributionsDO NOT USE TRIP ADVISORI bought tickets with my locator on in Orlando, Florida. California was NOT shown until tickets were purchased. When we got to the park, it did not work. This was obviously a regular occurrence because Universal had a plan and gave us discount tickets. When I called to get money back, I was put on hold 4 times and told they were "working on it" then refused to reimburse via email. It was a total scam. If they have a plan to keep you on hold while you are actually in the park, it is obvious this is a way for trip advisor to make money and not deliver. DO NOT USE TRIP ADVISOR!!Written November 29, 2024

- Sherry W0 contributionsEmployee went insane on us.We had a great day at the park but the lines were insane. But to some degree that is expected. What gave them a horrible rating was when my friend tripped in a dark pathway and fell into a nearby employee. Neither of them fell or were hurt and my friend immediately apologized , but the employee started screaming that my 5 foot tall friend had "hit" her and it hurt. She called over her manager who told my friend to be " more aware of her surroundings because touching an employee is inappropriate. One woman falling into another woman by accident does not deserve a reprimand. We were afraid the manager was going to kick us out of the park. Ruined the whole trip. That employee was insane and the manager was just as reactionary. Definitely not Disney.Written November 25, 2024
- G7596ZAdavidl0 contributionsbusiest yetwe went late mid October /November and found the parks extremely busy when they are usually quiet . there were too many construction walls up in both parks and some always seem to need work done on them . usually very good it is in my opinion better value than Disney .i try new rides each time i go and do enjoy the mummy which is my current favourite. universal are constantly changing and am happy for this to continue .Written November 25, 2024
- flyhoofbats0 contributionsThrill rides ✅ Ticketing ❌Toddlers❌So I’ve been a few times to universal and love all the big rides but this was my first with my 1 year old twins. Not a lot for them to do, we are staying at Disney but still a long day in the pram for them. The ticketing system is years behind disneys so I finally thought having QR codes on the app would stop all the nonsense of paper tickets how wrong was I. First roller coaster i have to scan my express pass then get given a paper locker ticket and paper express pass? Surely they’ve heard of magic bands? Get with the times. Also because I booked the tickets I had all the tickets on my app so when our party split up they were funny about my sister using a screen shot of her ticket even though she’d had a picture taken the same day to move parks? Something else that wasn’t at all clear the parent ride swap! On Hagrids ride I was first told that we’d have to queue with our baby twins in the pram until we reached the family room in the queue where we could then actually ride swap. My reply? Why can’t you do it like Disney where the other half who has the kids returns once the first parent has had a go. Oh we do that also ask for a ticket (recurring theme here). Also think alot of the parks are looking a bit tired very 90’s and need modernised. Another park coming but surely redevelopment is also needed? Big Thrill rides awesome ✅ That’s about it!Written November 18, 2024
- VTHokieNorthCarolina0 contributionsSticker shock, but GO!November is the perfect time to go! We're still experiencing sticker shock so be sure to check prices. All I can say is, "it is what it is!" If wanna play, ya gotta pay. We had a great time. Awesome shows, rides and food. Lines weren't terribly long. We were on most in less than 20 minutes.Written November 18, 2024

The rides are great, the staff nice and it has a variety of shops and restaurants to pick from. It's also great that all of their hotels and other parks are very close to each other. VIP experience at Universal Orlando is unmatched and well worth the money (~$750/person give or take plus your park hopper ticket).
Jenn A. was our guide and was a great time, a joy to hang with for the day, and knows her Universal stuff! Lots of fun tidbits and snippets on parks now and then! Well organized to make the most of our time!
Our day consisted of a private tour/guide for our party of 8 squinching us to the front of the line to all (open) attractions as many times as we wanted, wherever we wanted in the cart/train from 10am-6p. Fast passes were included for the hour(s) before and after our guide time ended. In total, our group rode ET, Men in Black, Hogwarts Express to Islands, Hagrid’s Motorbike twice, Forbidden Journey, Velicicoaster twice, King Kong, met the Grinch, lunch, back to other park for Mummy, Escape from Gringotts, butter beers!, Transformers, and VIP view of parade. We were able to 1-2 more rides in after the parade and our guide left. All ride pictures and pictures with Grinch were included with the photo pass.
It also included all 3 meals – a standard hot buffet breakfast (minimal gluten allergy options outside of fruit, bacon, and potatoes). Lunch is at any location inside the parks (We ate at Mythos in Islands of Adventure which had lots of GF options, but did take longer than preferred). Dinner was at any restaurant of our choice (basically) on City Walk – we chose the Chocolate Emporium (also great for GF needs). Make sure to book these reservations ahead of time when you book the experience, but both locations were super accommodating due to the VIP status (reservations handled by the VIP staff which was also nice).
If you have never been to the park, I would suggest not using this experience as you bypass a lot of the “experience” of standing in some of the lines as you come through the exit of most attractions.

Just returned from a one day, VIP tour of 2 parks at Universal Orlando. UNBELIEVABLE experience and most certainly worth it!! THe line ups were impressive (up to 2 hr wait for some rides) but we skipped to the front of the line for 14 rides or so. Kids absolutely loved it and for those pressed for time, this was the equivalent of 2-3 days at the park. Meals were included and plentiful, the tour guide was courteous, funny and very well informed. We did zero research in advance and relied on him to take us around and give us all of the ride information. Very thankful for his advice! My boys are 10 and 12, this is a fantastic age for Harry Potter although I enjoyed it very much as an adult as well!! Consider VIP parking as well if you are not staying on site since this also speeds things up considerably, especially at the end of a long day when you just want to get home.
We will definitely be back!!
We will definitely be back!!

Let’s get into it -
We arrived at 9am literally , that’s when the park opens. we paid the
$50 vip parking ( which we knew we didn’t want to walk with the kids later)
We prepaid for 4 tickets as the 2 year old is free.
We brought our house on wheels that seats 4 this is important bc yes it’s large, however, we can fit both children in and move around and they be comfortable.
We immediately got drink cups and the fans that spray water. We paid for 2 parks and went in to make the most of it. we went everywhere we could.
We spent the most time of the time in the Harry Potter world. Yes, we bought 4 Wands, a robe, head bands, sweaters. We are at the restaurant. Loved the train and we were so excited to be there.
We loved the Dr. Suess area and the kids had a ball in the Jurassic park area.
Make sure to bring your walking shoes and shade cover.
We love the hello kitty area and spent a small fortune there for our 5 year Old. She got chuckie hello kitty? And many other things there.
Note:
I have to add this in as this person literally almost ruined my experience with her rudeness—- so we know at the clothing shop the gentleman that works there is amazing very kind and interactive- he made us laugh and demonstrated how to store your wand in the robe. As we were leaving there’s a place next door I believe you take pictures there. There was NO ONE Customer wise in there, we were buckling our toddler in her stroller when a RUDE, heavyset girl
With fake red hair, came charging over telling us not to block the door way, my husband said no problem just strapping the baby in she goes well move it along then, I turned to her and said hey there’s no need to be rude, she goes I wasn’t I looked her right in the face and said you are and I heard what you said. There’s no one here and we’re moving. She argued with me and if my family had not been there and I wasn’t on vacation… yes we would have waited for a manager and argued about it then…. She would not be working there or with people.
Back to the rest
After I calmed down and we continued on our way the characters saved the day. Whoever is in the Gabby dollhouse won my heart and I hope nothing but good things and my fickle and very grumpy 2 year ran to her and hugged her with her eyes closed. My 2 year is not a stranger hugger, she is a waver and I will say hi, but don’t touch. But for Gabby she was in love.
Thank you Gabby for saving the day.

Universal is my favourite of all the parks but this time I felt it had lost some of its sparkle. We went in late September thinking it would be quieter as the kids are back at school, but it was absolutely manic. We waited such a long time for Gringots, nearly 2 hours for a few minutes ride, once we were in the queue it was hard to get out. We went into the hall to get the Hogwarts Express and having waited for over an hour and getting nowhere we asked an attendant to let us out which he did. Food and drink prices are sky high, but we enjoyed apple pie in the diner. It was so hot and crowded and not a pleasant experience. The Bourne show is amazing, we went in twice although we still waited in line for over half an hour. Our bus back was at 7.45pm so we thought we would eat in City Walks beforehand, impossible to get a table at most places. We managed to get into the Italian restaurant although I wish we hadn't as with the tip it cost us over $60 for 2 meals and 2 beers, ridiculous prices. On the plus side while sitting waiting for the bus we saw the Falcon 9 take off very clearly in the evening sky. If we ever go back, it will be January/wintertime.

Unless you spend 450 dollars per person Universal is not worth the money. The lines are way too long and the express pass doubles the regular ticketed peoples wait time. They will let express on till empty and regular ticket people wait even longer. Not for those who need to bring whole family. It is too bad, we spend 350 and was only able to do 5 rides in 2 days. Do 1 day with express vs 2 day park ticket.

What stood out to me was the breathtakingly rude person at the parking kiosk. When tried to help her that I wanted standard parking she said "Are you gonna talk over me or let me finish!". She also chatted to her friends for a while before this keeping us waiting. And all for an extortionate $30 too. The walk from the car park to the attractions is too long with no shade in the heat. The theming is not as good as Disneyworld either except for the Harry Potter section of the park. Painted Snow and 36c heat however seem a little incongruous but the rides there were excellent and the Velocicoaster was astounding. However maybe a day at Universal would be enough if you go. Buy the $50 dollar passes from a mall perhaps. I wouldn't book online again. The $200 plus dollars per person express passes are a rip off and not worth it. All in all, Universal was poor however and not worth the money and the staff have patchy and inconsistent customer service standards.

The three broomsticks inside the wizarding world of Harry Porter was not a good experience. The cashier taking our orders continued to put his fingers in his mouth and bite his nails. It was continuous. Not sanitary at all! He even went to the kitchen and helped with drink preparation. Also, the fruit was not ripe and the bread was very hard and not warmed up for the continental breakfast. Did I want to waste time waiting on a manager so I can tell them about this on my vacation? No. Vacation time is very precious especially at this park with the lines, etc. Just so you know they charge $17.00 each for the breakfast prepared this way. That’s over $70 for a family of 4. There should be better sanitation and better food. The people putting our food and drinks on the trays did not have hair nets. The chefs in the back did have hair coverings, however, anyone handling food needs have proper sanitation guidelines and no one should have their fingers constantly in their mouth. Overall customer service was lacking. I understand the workers deal with a lot of rude and foreign people and some of the employees may be foreign, but a smile and verbal instruction as well as pointing would be considerate to give paying customers. I saw employees get asked where to get something and the employee just pointed. Also why are there not places to get water for free. I understand the corporations need more of our money by charging $7 for a bottle of water. However, dehydration is real and water stations should be included for them to refill bottles they bring. We are annual pass holders and we have seen a digression in the customer service and sanitation in the parks. Hand sanitizer pumps not refilled , some even Torn off the wall, like in the train station. They need more visits from corporate and sanitation to see what’s going on and fix it.

Wizarding World was pretty cool. But the lines and malfunctions were very annoying. My kids couldn’t wait to use the overpriced, interactive wands, but getting them to work was just silly. They stood in line behind other kids who also couldn’t get theirs to work. I talked with other parents who were angry with the wand purchase. I have to say the Ollivander experience was cool (the worker who portrayed Ollivander was awesome). The 3D rides are decent but gets repetitive when almost every ride is similar. Wanted to do Hagrids Motorbike but standing in line for over 2 hours is insane, especially when the ride malfunctions and 2 hours turns to 3. Express pass is way overpriced. Thankfully my kids said they had fun, but that was most likely from me pushing their stroller like a madman through crowds of miserable people.

Just returned from our trip. Not out first time there but probably our last. We bought a three park two day ticket which came with two days free. Turns out the waterpark was closed the whole time we were there so it was a waste! I know now why they are giving away free days and doing prom tickets and that’s because you have to wait hours and hours for rides that just break down. The kicker is that after you wait hours for Jurassic park for example they post a delay make a notification that it will be an extended delay and when you finally have lost all hope and get off the line they don’t even give you a ticket to come back through express. You pay hundreds of dollars for families to waste time on lines and just be disappointed. We had a similar experience on transformers where we waited almost an hour on the line, sat in the seats for the ride and they had us get off because of technical issues and extended delays. On that ride they gave us a paper receipt to use at another attraction. For Hagrids it’s just awful. You are forced to wait almost three hours in a line with no benches or bathroom breaks and just when you think you are close to the end they let massive amounts of people in some secret back door (even though there’s is no express pass available for this ride) and your wait time is extended further. There is another secret line of extra people added to the que after that as well. The Harry Potter area is just so so so crowded it’s unpleasant and hard to appreciate. Yes resort guests get early access and guess what? There are a ton of resort guests with early access with the same idea. They are all about shoving as many people in the parks as possible and don’t care if your standing in lines for hours. I had to voice my concerns with guest services about all of these frustrations and they did their best to make it up to us. It shouldn’t have to be like that if they just delivered a pleasant park experience in the first place.

Our 22 yr old daughter Has wantsd to see Harry Potter world for years so took her on a trip to Universal as her grad present. We were not disappointed! Spent 5 days there using the park to park ticket promo. She was in here element the whole time and we closed each park down every night. Our last night we hung out in Diagon Alley doing the wand spells over and over waiting till we were told to leave. So glad we took this trip, many lasting memories.
Tips we have:
Don’t get refillable drink cups if you’re not a huge soda drinker. We drank water every day from the drinking fountains and were fine.
Do single rider lines to get on faster. You will be separated from your party if you do this.
Don’t ride flight of the Hippogriff if you don’t have little kids. It’s not worth the wait or motion sickness.
Express pass worth it if you are going in high season! Not of you go off season.
I get motion sickness and was scared of the rides. I was fine on all simulators and most coasters. Had to sit out sometimes to let dizziness pass. I took 2 Dramamine every day to combat this and it worked!
Don’t waste money on Krusty burger, Lard lad donuts in Simpsonland! Gross!
MIB ride is so fun! Don’t miss it!
Front seat worth the wait on velocicoaster
Don’t do Hagrids right away. Wait is always over 100 mins every morning. Wait a couple hours and it goes down and moves pretty fast. Ride it at night at least once!
Don’t be afraid of lockers of you have a bigger bag than a Fanny pack. If your tickets are electronic, workers have a paper card you can use to open lockers. This worked for every day we were there.
