About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- AndrewGrimsby0 contributionsHomer Simpson made it all worthwhileMy first visit. Initially a little underwhelmed as it is dated but then we got to the Simpsons area which, for a fan like me, was awesome. Then we got to see Homer walking down the street and got a photo. That made my holiday. But it was pure luck we saw him. Great to see the Blues Brothers too and the parade was fantastic. Still have good memories of the day, though not sure it is worth a return visit.Written December 10, 2024
- elleh890 contributionsVIP tour which was far from vip. Angry Kate from guest services.VIP tour of universal park. My husband surprised me with a vip tour of the universal park at Orlando, and unfortunately that surprise was very quickly turned into an extremely unpleasant experience. We’ve travelled all the way from the UK as part of her honeymoon and have had a great stay in Orlando, and had left the visit to universal as a way to end a beautiful trip on a high. We had asked several members of staff for directions to the meeting place for vip tours, and not one member was able to direct us to the correct location. After several unsuccessful attempts we made the decision to go to guest services, and were greeted by the rudest human I have came across in my life!! Whilst waiting in the line, Kate from customer services yelled at us to step back behind the door, which we obliged to, even though there are no signs that this should be the case. She then passive aggressively also said that some people have no respect for others privacy. We were then called forward by another member to be dealt with, whilst doing so Kate then yelled that we shouldn’t move forward until asked to do so, and then preceded to speak with the customer she was dealing with to say that we weren’t listening. At this point I did ask what she was saying and she continued to aggressively say that we should only come to counter when called even when I explained that we had been asked to come forward. My husband and I were very taken aback by this and did explain this to the adviser who was dealing with us. When we did this Kate then preceded to shout that we were just annoyed that she had told us to follow instructions and were trying to “incite her”. We were eventually directed to the correct place, for the vip tour, with Todd our tour guide. Credit to Todd he did help us cheer up and is an absolute delight, however the experience with Kate was absolutely awful and made the whole experience very un enjoyable. Having already bought a 2 weeks pass and an additional vip tour it has been extremely expensive and certainly does not feel very vip!! It’s also very concerning that such an angry person who lacks patience has been placed in guest services. I would suggest also that other staff should be trained and educated about new products and experiences you guys offer as lack of knowledge does portray incompetence and looks very unprofessional.Written December 10, 2024
- Nicole H0 contributionsFunClean, walkable, plenty of activities for all age levels. Mobile food ordering was great. Harry Potter worlds were soooo detailed. Some attractions are dated but still fun to explore. The mobile app with ride times was essential.Written December 9, 2024
- Mohammed B0 contributionsBeware Kate from guest services!Beware Kate from guest services! We had the vip tour and gotten a little lost trying to find the correct entrance. Cast members sent us to the wrong guest services but surely guest services would be helpful right? Think again! We were explaining the situation to our team member only for Kate to accuse us of inciting her. She’s dangerous and needs to be fired asapWritten December 9, 2024
- coldandquietlover0 contributionsGreat themeingGreat park with amazing theming. You honestly feel like you are in a film set in some areas. The Bourne Identity show is a must see! There seemed to be a lot of simulator rides in this park and I'd say Disney is better for people who are not fans of ridesWritten December 7, 2024

- Conniemama0 contributionsUniversal VIPWe did the VIP experience and it was so much better than the DisneyWorld VIP. Besides getting us on every ride (as many times as we wanted, really loved Hagrid’s ride), we got a visit with the Grinch (he was amazing!) and Universal has food! We had three meals that day that were included at restaurants of our choice. It really was fun and thank you Brittany@the Vacationeer for all her great suggestions.Written December 1, 2024
- Bluezer0 contributionsAmazing UniversalJust returned from a 2 week vacation back to the UK after a 10 year absence. This time though with a 7 year old granddaughter in tow. She loves everything Harry Potter and had an awesome time visiting the Harry Potter world and travelling on the Hogwarts Express. We queued for over an hour for the Hagrid ride only for it to be delayed so that was disappointing. The Jimmy Fallon ride through New York was excellent and there wasn’t a big queue for this attraction so we we repeated it a few times during our stay. The Macy’s Holiday Parade was magical and was definitely worth seeing. Overall a great experience and left great memories of our time spent together there.Written November 30, 2024

- Sherry W0 contributionsEmployee went insane on us.We had a great day at the park but the lines were insane. But to some degree that is expected. What gave them a horrible rating was when my friend tripped in a dark pathway and fell into a nearby employee. Neither of them fell or were hurt and my friend immediately apologized , but the employee started screaming that my 5 foot tall friend had "hit" her and it hurt. She called over her manager who told my friend to be " more aware of her surroundings because touching an employee is inappropriate. One woman falling into another woman by accident does not deserve a reprimand. We were afraid the manager was going to kick us out of the park. Ruined the whole trip. That employee was insane and the manager was just as reactionary. Definitely not Disney.Written November 25, 2024
- G7596ZAdavidl0 contributionsbusiest yetwe went late mid October /November and found the parks extremely busy when they are usually quiet . there were too many construction walls up in both parks and some always seem to need work done on them . usually very good it is in my opinion better value than Disney .i try new rides each time i go and do enjoy the mummy which is my current favourite. universal are constantly changing and am happy for this to continue .Written November 25, 2024
- flyhoofbats0 contributionsThrill rides ✅ Ticketing ❌Toddlers❌So I’ve been a few times to universal and love all the big rides but this was my first with my 1 year old twins. Not a lot for them to do, we are staying at Disney but still a long day in the pram for them. The ticketing system is years behind disneys so I finally thought having QR codes on the app would stop all the nonsense of paper tickets how wrong was I. First roller coaster i have to scan my express pass then get given a paper locker ticket and paper express pass? Surely they’ve heard of magic bands? Get with the times. Also because I booked the tickets I had all the tickets on my app so when our party split up they were funny about my sister using a screen shot of her ticket even though she’d had a picture taken the same day to move parks? Something else that wasn’t at all clear the parent ride swap! On Hagrids ride I was first told that we’d have to queue with our baby twins in the pram until we reached the family room in the queue where we could then actually ride swap. My reply? Why can’t you do it like Disney where the other half who has the kids returns once the first parent has had a go. Oh we do that also ask for a ticket (recurring theme here). Also think alot of the parks are looking a bit tired very 90’s and need modernised. Another park coming but surely redevelopment is also needed? Big Thrill rides awesome ✅ That’s about it!Written November 18, 2024

If wanna play, ya gotta pay. We had a great time. Awesome shows, rides and food. Lines weren't terribly long. We were on most in less than 20 minutes.Written November 18, 2024

We expected the park to be busy but we were not expecting there to be LOADS of people.
We could barely move in The Harry Potter section, which made the experience awful. I would much prefer visiting the set in London than come back.
We were shocked that the lockers (which you had to use for some rides), charged. They are only $2 each but it soon adds up if you are riding multiple big rides. The VelociCoaster was the only one that had free lockers, which just made the experience so much better.
After spending time in Disney and Universal, it feels like universal are trying to get you to spend, spend, spend (lockers, express pass etc). It’s a shame because the rides are incredible, especially if you enjoy big rides, but the volume of people, lack of space and expense ruin the overall experience.

Hi Kayleigh,
Thank you so much for your review! We appreciate the valuable feedback provided regarding some frustrations you had during your recent visit. To clarify our locker prices, all attractions that require lockers offer free locker options. We apologize if these were hard to find at all during your visit! I'm glad you enjoyed our rides, but saddened that you did not fully enjoy your experience due to crowds. I will make sure all of this feedback is formally documented, to be shared with the appropriate leadership. You are also welcome to reach out to Guest Services at (407) 224-4233 should you have any additional questions or concerns regarding our lockers or any other aspects of your vacation. I hope you will choose to visit us again in the future.

Given that my review is influenced by the fact that we had already been there a few years ago but my daughter wanted to go back again. The emotion of the first time is never forgotten and for this reason doing everything again like when he was alone and completely "woow" is certainly not the same thing. Having said this, I would like to write something useful for those who want to go there soon. The 2 parks in one day package is the one to do because otherwise Harry Potter and his attractions would be split in half. Of course the price of 184 dollars per person is an exaggeration but since we are committed to coming this far to do this then we certainly cannot back out. The solution at the box office is the best, there are no queues and in 5 minutes you pay and enter. The important thing is to have a good and full credit card. I chose this option because this way you have the opportunity to see the weather first and then decide whether to go or not. This is fundamental as once you enter you can never go back and although a rain poncho is ideal, many attractions and everything outdoors cannot be seen or done. The period in which to go is fundamental. Now in September I only queued for 15 minutes for each attraction, Harry Potter twice and we got tired of repeating everything. The attractions are worth the price of the ticket even if many are now old and even a little outdated. Maybe it's because I've been there 3 times and now we know them all by heart. Food is very expensive and I opt to pre-shopping at Walmart so I can have sandwiches and drinks with me and avoid long lines and huge expenses. Parking costs 30 dollars but if you stay in a partner hotel you are entitled to the free shuttle, an option that practically everyone has. Choose this one to save. I won't describe the attractions to you because the web is full but it's worth it as an experience to have at least once in a lifetime, for both adults and children.

Arriving from New York, Orlando seemed like an oven saturated with humidity; We know August is hot near the tropics but we had no choice. Large but sad airport (they stop serving breakfast at 9am), nice hotel with the vague smell of mold from the air conditioner in the room. $20 taxi fare to the parks, $20 to return.
Two parks: Universal Resort and Island of Adventure to see in two days, for a total of 1400 dollars for entry alone for a family of two adults and two children under 16! Then hot dogs for 10 dollars and water for 6.
Were they worth it?
For the kids, yes: they did all the roller coasters, the towers, the 3D thematic routes available, no more and no less than in Mirabilandia or Gardaland. They enjoyed less the reconstructions and sets of the most famous Universal films, which represent the real differences between these parks and ours. The only two locations in the world of Harry Potter, Diagon Alley and Hogsmeade, are of astonishing perfection, entire livable villages connected by a real Hogwarts Express train. And there are dozens of similar reconstructions, featuring shows and attractions with special effects. This is Hollywood, not Cinecittà!
So coming here to queue for even two hours (the crowds are formidable) for rollercoaster similitalia and spending (and sweating) quadruple that doesn't make much sense (a parent's opinion not shared by the kids). You gain some meaning if the visit also takes the form of enjoying an interactive cinema museum, then it can become truly beautiful! But not in August!
PS: if it is useful, I would add that I would be more happy to visit the Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studios in London than these Universal ones in Orlando.

Ridiculous waiting times in lines. They charge 100$ more on your already paid ticket of 140$ if you want a fast pass. Just another perfect money making machine. Dont go unless you are an amusement park fan.
Esperas eternas, la entrada de 140€ no incluye ningun fast pass, tienes que gastarte otros 100€. La entrada a partir de 9 años ya cuesta igual que la de un adulto. En resumen, una maquina de hacer dinero a precios ridiculos.

The parks are awesome. Great scenery and extremely varied attractions from the 3/4 d to the rollercoasters etc. Not to mention the entire mind-blowing Harry Potter sets.
We had the unlimited pass which helped a lot! There just wasn't one for, let's face it, the BEST attraction in Hagrid Park. A must do. We didn't hesitate to wait in line twice for 50 minutes. It's definitely worth it. Consider buying the plastic bottle that you can refill at all Coke stations with a multiple choice of drink. It's definitely worth it especially if it's hot. For the water park, allow a minimum of one day, the queues are done virtually with a bracelet, the waiting times are sometimes extreme but in the end never the maximum time indicated. Volcano express passes are unpayable and only give one pass so you will have to go through the virtual line box to redo them anyway. We barely had time to do each attraction once unfortunately.
We didn't regret Disney, I recommend Universal if you have children aged 10 and over and Disney for the little ones unless you have never done Disney elsewhere

Guest services was overall TERRIBLE. When you spend over 1000 for entry and fast pass you expect some customer service. Phone service which is the only way to contact them is terrible and unhelpful. Had to go through 2 people and then eventually the park to get to guest relations at the park entry before they provided any good help. Had same problem with lost credit card. Phone relations was totally useless and unhelpful and they told me to email guest relations. Had not response by next day and ended up having to go to universal guest relations on person before any good help was provided. Moral of the story don’t ever waste time calling the customer service number because they do nothing for you. The in person park customer service was good but you have to drive a there is person and you should park at the drop off zone and HIKE it to the city walk or the park otherwise they will charge you $32 to park just to fix things that are even due to their system error. Got my card back now and still haven’t heard anything from email sent to guest relations. Case in point !!!

Enjoyed Escape from Gringotts, Mummy rollercoaster. Thought Simpsons and Fast/Furious were a bit lame. The comedy show Horror make-up and the stunt show for Bourne were quite good. By late April you may not need the fast pass- (most were 25-35 min.wait) with the fast pass for two adults was over $600 for one day. We enjoyed the animal encounters elsewhere (Exotic Animal and Swim w Manatees) more than the theme park.

Thank you for your review. I am thrilled to hear that you enjoyed your visit to Universal Studios Florida. Aren't our attractions and entertainment offerings just amazing? I love the details throughout the queues. Make sure you check out E.T. Adventure during your next visit, it is my favorite! I am sorry to hear that not every attraction met your expectations, and please be assured that I have formally documented your feedback to be reviewed by the proper leadership teams. I hope you will visit us again soon.

We bought our tickets at the site undercover tourist (a authorized retailer). The tickets were for 2 day park to park + extra day. As demanded by the site we chose our first day (8th March) and the site said the tickets were valid for any 3 days from 8th March to 14th March.
This was printed on the face of the tickets.
But the fine letter (i.e. the small letters) said a different story, as the tickets need to be used during a 6 consecutive days (and not 7 days as printed on the face of tickets).
Bottom line: we were denied entry on the 14th March (our 3rd day).
Answer from the guest relations at park entry: It is all in the fine print and we gladly sell you a ticket for a extra day!!!
We have been a loyal customer of Universal for 22 years, with multiple repeated visits.
But after this I will never again go back.

Hi there,
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. I'm disheartened to hear of your experience. It is true that the park ticket you purchased is valid for seven days, which includes your first day of usage and six (6) additional days. We work to ensure this information is clearly presented to our Guests, and I deeply apologize if this information was not communicated to you. Please know that your concerns regarding ticket expiration dates, as well your experience with Guest Services, will be documented and shared with the proper teams. We'd love the opportunity to make this right. I encourage you to reach out to our Guest Services Team at 407-224-4233, via email at GuestServices@UniversalOrlando.com, or via private message on the official Universal Orlando Resort Facebook Page. Thank you for reaching out, and we hope to hear from you soon.

This was way better than Disney we actually got on some rides the queues were manageable 10 to 30 mins on average Most had air conditioning inside so was a comfortable wait. Right see like the Jimmy Fallon were much better than expected and the Jason Bourne show was amazing amazing tech however it did break down about 20 mins into the show We were compensated with fast lane ticket for 1 complimentary ride. But to be fair the standard and the fast lanes were very similar in waiting times. I think think this is because they run two rides at the same time which half’s the waiting time I hope Disney read this and take note The Disney experience was a shocking and disappointing experience. Anyway happy to fully recommend Universal to anyone wanting to have a fun time.

Same considerations made for the sister park, Island. You pay a lot but if you don't you still spend a fortune by buying the express pass in one day you can do 4 or 5 attractions in the two parks. No entrance reserved for disabled people. Then you get a pass but it's not a queue skipper like the one you pay for: in practice under thirty minutes you enter directly above they set a time for you to enter, in practice you wait outside and then you enter maybe 10 minutes before the total time of the queue. So a couple of 100 tickets are better than a disabled pass (child or adult there is no difference). Beautiful attractions but a lot of show, a lot of business (you can't pay 500 ml of water for six dollars even in the desert) and not much fun.
