About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Carl C0 contributionsAmazing small group tourGreat fun time with Tyler. He made the whole trip, fun, racing, and informative. We were very lucky to see Crocodiles and Gators, but the highlight of the trip was seeing dolphins circle feeding. I never knew what it was until Tyler educated us about what it was. It was a small group, only 4 of us, and that is why I picked this tour. Don't go with the big guys, go with this tour guide..Written November 16, 2024
- L1743WOlisab0 contributionsTreat yourself to this worthy adventure! We were so impressed with Ty, our captain and tour guide. His love of the job and area show. We Saw dolphins, alligators, many different birds and had an excellent time "shelling" on a private beach.Written November 12, 2024
- M8449VTstephanieb0 contributionsGorgeous DayTye was an awesome tour guide and showed us Florida’s best. Our group had the boat to ourselves and the tour was so fun. Such an amazing ecosystemWritten September 13, 2024

- 810madelynm0 contributionsMust! My boyfriend and I had such a blast! The weather was great with some clouds and rain. The rain was very refreshing and clouds provided shade from the sun. Justin guided us and gave us so much great information about the area. We even got to see manatees which was such a treat! One of my favourite experiences.Written August 23, 2024
- 953allief0 contributionsGreat time!I had an awesome experience! My friend and I took the manatee/dolphin watching boat tour and it was so much fun! Our captain, Ty, was super knowledgeable and friendly and did his best to make sure we had a great time! It felt like a personalized tour rather than a standardized one so that made it so much more enjoyable! We hadn't seen manatees the whole trip, so at the very end he stopped at a few different places and waited for a bit to make sure we could see at least one, and we finally did! I'd definitely recommend this tour and Ty, he was awesome and we had a great time!Written August 21, 2024
- Tbolling12500 contributionsAmazing!Awesome trip! Tye was our captain and he was amazing! very helpful and informative and made sure that we were able to see dolphins, alligators and we finally got to see a manatee. He gave us great tips on local restaurants and things to do which was wonderful. Highly recommend!Written August 17, 2024

- jtP9151VE0 contributionsGreat tour of 10,000 IslandsTy was a great guide, knowledgeable, friendly. We learned about the ecosystem and saw wildlife up close - alligators, heron, and a manatee that swam alongside our boat. Great experience!Written July 11, 2024
- 202kraigs0 contributionsWe saw about everything!Ty was a great captain. We saw 8 Manatees, several dolphins, found some neat shells, and eagle ray, alligators.. all kinds of stuff. I would highly recommend it.Written July 8, 2024
- Sightseer089157158790 contributionsVery satisfiedTy did an excellent job today. He was very good to my granddaughter telling her about the marine life. We were able to see a few dolphins, a small shark, one big alligator, fiddler crabs and lots of birds. It was recovering from lots of rain so we did not see any manatees. I would recommend this charter to all who have families. I would do this again.Written July 1, 2024
- ana_chia100 contributionsWe saw a floating potato!! so ExCiTiNg!My daughter and I had such a relaxing ride with Ty on June 22nd. Right away we saw an alligator hanging out. A little ways into the tour he spotted a dolphin and we were able to see her up close. Enjoyed watching her surface a few times. For the boat ride itself we were thankful that we could enjoy some shade. With the winds and shade it was quite comfortable and so relaxing. Waters were a little murky for us so we didn't think we would get to see any manatee but... on the way back we did. So very cool to see them just swimming around. With the motor turned off you could hear there little sighs when they surfaced. First time seeing a manatee and our hope for the trip. I was thankful the tour wasn't cancelled since it was just the two of us. Ty also gave of some of his recommendations for things to do and see while in the area. I always appreciate the input of someone who lives there. We choose his spot for lunch and it did not disappoint. Thank you for a memorable experience.Written June 25, 2024
- N1680MVkatiet0 contributionsFantastic trip! Our family had a private boat ride for the five of us and we had an incredible time! We knew what to expect prior to arrival and to start, we loved just being on the boat with Ty (he was such a fun and knowledgeable guide!) and then we got to see manatees, dolphins galore, and even a sea turtle or two! The beach we stopped at along the way was beautiful and we got to see some turtle nesting sites. Definitely would highly recommend this tour!Written June 5, 2024
- lindeep20240 contributionsAmazing experience! The dolphin/manatee boat tour was amazing. We got to see manatees and birds and we were able to do some shelling on an island. So worth the money. Ty was the best captain. Would request him in the future.Written June 1, 2024

This trip exceeded my expectations. Adventure Paddle Tours was professional and ensured we were prepared for our trip through effective communication leading up to our tour. When we arrived, we were greeted by Justen who led our tour. We hit the jackpot with him! He put me at ease as a novice kayaker by giving a great instructional overview in the beginning and guiding us throughout the tour on what to expect ahead. He was very knowledgeable and we saw ALL the animals - dozens of different birds, alligators, manatees, shark, and even a crocodile! It was a highlight of our trip. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone seeking some adventure and looking to explore a different side of Florida. To end, they send you dozens of photos from your trip to download for free. Great memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you!

The kayak tour is beautiful. So much peace, so many colors, crystal clear water. Tiffany and Justin showed us the natural world of the Everglades. The two of them explained a lot to us about the plants and animals. They worked tirelessly. The highlight was two wild crocodiles and above all the varied facets of the mangrove area. We recommend the tour above all because it is close to nature, not commercial and involves your own performance (paddling). If you are expecting an animal show, you are in the wrong place. If you are looking for pure nature and a relaxed atmosphere, this is the right place. Justin takes great photos during the tour, which you can download for free afterwards. When we are back in Florida, we will come back. 5/5 stars!

This tour was one of the best wildlife tours our family has taken anywhere! Caroline was a fantastic guide who knew a ton of information about the area's history and its natural resources. She made sure we navigated the mangrove tunnels successfully and knew all the best spots for great wildlife viewing. We would 100% do this tour again!

The tour was really fun, relaxing and upmost really beautiful! Paddling through the everglades and its mangrove tunnels is magical and you will most definitely see an alligator and if you are in luck also a manatee (unfortunately we couldn’t find one but our guide Ty tried his best to find one). Ty really had an amazing knowledge of all the animals and plants and could answer all our questions. He even gave those insect repellent that needed some (make sure to bring some!). He guided us safely through the water and past alligators and made sure everyone got a nice picture that we could download later on.

We spent an amazing three hours kayaking around the mangroves with Tiffany. A quick safety guide then into our kayaks wandering through the mangroves, lots of birds to see. Some tricky areas to navigate but Tiffany was great at giving advice and helping. We saw a few crocs on our trip and were very very lucky to see a Mother and Baby Manatee - a truly amazing experience from start to end. Would highly recommend, Tiffany’s knowledge and friendly approach as a guide was really reassuring for a novice kayaker.

The water was unusually high for the time of year so the bird spotting was limited due to the lack of wading birds. However what an experience. Kayaking through the mangroves and growth of the Everglades was absolutely a once in a lifetime experience. Justin was great and we saw plenty of gators and a couple of manatees. 100% recommend.

The kayaking tour through the mangroves was great. Justin, our tour-guide, gave all the in and outs of the area. I can highly recommend it if you’re looking for a more in depth tour of the Everglades. Justin also went through great efforts to give us the best chance to spot wildlife. We spotted some gators, but unfortunately no manatees. In wildlife that’s never a guarantee, so the more reason to comeback someday!

Our family truly enjoyed this kayak adventure with our guide Justin. Our 3 kids, 14,12,11 had no issues navigating the mangrove mazes. Justin gave excellent paddling advice, safety tips, and knowledgeable commentary on all the wildlife we saw. The kayaks were comfortable with excellent back support and adjustable foot rests. All equipment was in great condition and comfortable. I would highly recommend this tour and we will do it again next time we are in Naples! Thank you Justin, it was a blast!

This kayak tour was equal parts fun and informative, combining a challenging (but doable!) route with lots of interesting tidbits from our group leader along the way.
Justin was a phenomenal tour guide - very friendly, lighthearted, and clearly knowledgeable about the Everglades! Apparently he was a school teacher in a former life, and it shows in his speaking and his patience in leading groups with varying levels of kayaking ability (including a total novice, like me). He can talk at length about mangroves and water salinity, then seamlessly move to pull a stuck kayak over a sandbar in the next breath.
We briefly glimpsed a gator, and some of us caught sight of a manatee snout at one point, but even without tons of wildlife, we still learned a lot and enjoyed the experience.
If you’re up for a light-to-moderate amount of exercise, I definitely recommend this tour as a great way to learn about the Everglades while moving through a fun route filled with mangroves and hidden pockets of wildlife. Be sure to ask for Justin when you book!

We were a family of 4 including two teenagers. The activity was great, because we basically like going on kayak trips. The guide, Ty, was very friendly, calm and taught us a lot along the way about the mangroves and local animals. We observed alligators, eagles, types of crabs, herons etc.
We chose to do the activity in the morning and it was perfect for the temperature.
We recommend!

Do you have tours with a guide on one of the kyac
I reiterate it would be more money
Written May 2, 2022
There are tours were you can have your own guide. It would definitely cost more money. Make enquiries with Small Group Kayak and Manatee Tours. They have a website.

I am 93 and my wife is 88 and both of us are in good shape considring our age. We live on the water on Chesapeake bay and are familiar with boats and own and use a canoe. We believe we can do this unless there is likely to be any fast paddling required. Are there periods when we can rest?
Written January 28, 2022
Are there age restrictions? And is this or does this go into Everglades National Park?

Hi. We are staying at Marco island for our vacation. Even though your address is Naples the map shows me that your about 25 min east of Marco island. Is that correct? Naples I thought was north of Marco island. Thanks!
Written April 5, 2021
Naples mailing zip codes cover a very large area. The address to meet is Port of the Everglades Marina which is East of Marco Island but is still considered Naples as an address

I have two adults and a 6 year, do you have three party boats? Is 6 years old too young?
Written March 25, 2021
3 person crafts are not available but they do have 2 person Kayaks and individual kayaks, I went with my wife and 10yo daughter and my daughter and I went in the 2 person and my wife went in a single. We enjoyed it quite a bit. I believe 6 is not necessarily too young, they provide flotation jackets for everyone.

If we are staying in Miami and would like to experience the Mangrove tunnel kayaking is there transportation included? If not what are your recommendations to get to the departure point of this tour from Miami?
Written February 28, 2021
The departure point is the Port of the Islands Marina near Port of the Everglades Park. It is directly off of Rt 41 (Tamiami Trail) which is a straight drive West from Miami. Any transportation (Cab-taxi, Uber, Lyft, private service, and in some cases resort transportation, or you can rent a car for the day) can provide you transport there and back, bear in mind that you will be on this trip for 3-4 hours so factor that into any transportation you have to hire. The Kayak Tour company does not provide transportation to the Marina but they do provide transportation via van to the kayak entry point on the canals.
