About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- thetourist1230 contributionsOk experienceThe tour was fine, something to do. Saw parts of a croc. The boat-tour could've been much longer, will probably try another tour next time. But you pay a price for the tour, but then you have to tip the bus driver. And when you get there you have to tip the boat driver - What exactly are you paying for?Written September 17, 2024
- 34jmt0 contributionsTruly the worst. Zero stars if I couldTheir bus conditions and teamwork as a whole it is truly abysmal. Like many other reviews before mine, they need to work on their timing, when the van picked us up from the hotel everything went as smooth as possible, that’s the only plus side id give them. Now with the horror ; it’s blazing hot 100 degrees in Florida and the office where you wait does not have any AC whatsoever so if your bus is running late, unless you wanna run to nearby shops or cvs you’ll die of heat suffocation. Our bus was supposed to leave at 1. How ever while the bus driver was on standby waiting for who knows what, after 20 Minutes they tell us that another bus would be picking us up , no reason is given, when the 2nd bus finally arrived at 1:40 pm it’s a bus with again, no AC or ventilation whatsoever save for a window that opens 1/4 of Its size. The sun deck is not covered so you either die of heat inside or die with no sun protection or ventilation . It’s dangerous to ride on the top Of the deck because tree branches will smack you in the face. To make matters worst, while driving the entire time with little to no ventilation, upon arriving to the Everglades park we just learned that due to the weather they decided to close the park. And we will have to return wether we like it or not, I understand That weather is uncontrollable however I think they could’ve done a much better job communicating this before heading there not after driving an Hour plus. On our way back, soaking wet from our own sweat, we were dropped Off on the main office and continently no one was at the desk, they had closed it !!!!! No one to Hear you complain or give feedback. Truly truly disappointed. Shame on youWritten August 16, 2024
- maxinec8570 contributionsDisappointed With The Price For Booking!I was angry when I saw I paid $72 for booking the 3-tours but the tour facility sign only charged $15 each for the same exact tours. You all should charge what they charged!!!Written August 10, 2024
- Relax244055923440 contributionsJust… TerribleAbsolutely abysmal service and even worse customer service. Made us wait at the Marina for over 3 hours because of rain and refused to give even a partial refund for the experience we paid for (cruise, bus tour). Our entire day was wasted and no employees were present to provide any updates. Save your time and money and go to literally any other bus tour.Written July 11, 2024
- Suepedley20 contributionsMiami combo tourThis combo tour is incredible value and actually was 11 hours. (Set off 9am and returned to pick up point 8pm) Some downsides 1. Required to pay US2 each person in cash at office on check in for Everglades gratuities. This should be advised at time of booking. Guides still requested tips at venue 2. Open top bus had no aircon downstairs and upstairs quite dangerous due to tree branches even when sitting down never mind standing up 3. Advised the return buses from Bay area ran every half hour but was actually hourlyWritten July 8, 2024
- joelwP9038LZ0 contributionsGo elsewherecompany lies , bus broke down in the middle of the freeway , tours aren't as advertised, guides speak zero English to communicate with. Actually everglades tour was great and boat tour is good , but any dealings with miami double deckers is NO BUENO!!! I gave one star because zero stars isn't a optionWritten June 11, 2024
- jasondinh0 contributionsNeeds ImprovementThe big red bus that drove us back from the Everglades did not have air conditioning. This was torture on a 93 degrees day. Please get the air conditioning fixed as soon as possible. Also, the driver made the entire group wait almost an hour in the hot sun before letting us board the bus.Written May 26, 2024
- jstt20130 contributionsDon’t use this company!!!This was the worst tour I have ever been and not a professional business at all. They only except cash which seems forget and maybe on purpose. The communication from the manager, Scot is appalling. We only got to do 1 of our 3 tours due to them; 1 bus breakdown and another not having air con which delayed us and was so uncomfortable but still no refund!Written May 21, 2024
- Lukinel K0 contributionsThe worst experience of my life for the momentAVOID THIIS COMPANY !!! Profesional thieves. After booking a tour of the everglades park from Miami, we were told that the bus picking us up would not have air conditioning and that the trip would only last 45 minutes. (Which wasn't true, it'll take 1h30) then once we'd left, the bus broke down on the Miami expressway and we had to wait for over an hour and a half for a replacement bus, staying on the expressway with all the dangers that goes with it. Then, once on the other bus, the driver offered to take the tour anyway, which wasn't possible given the 2.5 hours we'd already lost. When we got back to the agency, the manager didn't refund our money and told us he had no right to do so because it wasn't his agency and, what's more, the park was open and we'd decided not to go. The only thing they offer is to reschedule the tour at a later date or a 50% refund. Above all, the agency only accepts CASH. From that moment on, it was clear that the theft of our money was well organized. I advise you to go directly to the Everglades on your own and book a company already present in the park.Written May 20, 2024
- S664ABerikah0 contributionsHeat Sickness due to company negligenceAbsolutely appalling experience with Miami Double Decker. They epitomize everything wrong with the tour industry. Not only were they egregiously late, but they endangered the lives of approximately 100 passengers and the driver by subjecting us to scorching heat without AC for hours. Multiple individuals required medical attention due to their negligence. The tour itself was a far cry from what was advertised, and their refusal to issue refunds is a testament to their scam-like practices. Their insistence on cash-only transactions seems designed to evade accountability. Beware: Miami Double Decker/Miami Tours/ Miami sightseeing tours is a danger to both your wallet and your safety.Written May 19, 2024
- Global470724349390 contributionsHorrible Experience! DO NOT RECOMMENDNothing short of a nightmare. First off they left us waiting for an hour in Miami's summer heat.!Then, to make matters worse, they jeopardized the safety of around 100 passengers and the driver by subjecting us to a stifling two-hour journey without air conditioning. This resulted in multiple passengers requiring medical assistance. The tour itself was a complete disappointment, failing to deliver on any of the promised experiences. Despite complaints from everyone on the bus, they adamantly refused refunds, further cementing their reputation as a scam operation. To add insult to injury, they only accept cash payments, likely to evade refund requests through banks. This is not just a rip-off; they're a danger to your well-being.Written May 19, 2024
- UNGlobeTraveler0 contributionsGreat combo tour in MiamiThis combo tour package is a great value and covers all the area tourist attractions that you want to see and do. We covered many places in 9 hours! First complaint I have is that they asked me to pay tip (for 3 persons in my family) when I checked in at the tour office. But I was asked later to tip at each of the 3 tours as well as the driver (which I had no problem as the guides were all knowledgeable and professional). But why asked to pay again and multiple times if I already paid first before the tour? Double charging? Second, there was the seemly disorganized connection between the buses. Had to ask several times with different people. First bus took us for Miami and Miami Beach city tours then returned to the company office to wait for a second bus to Sawgrass Recreation Area for the Everglades airboat ride and then boat tour of Miami port area from the Bayside Market Place in the end. Some tours were in the reverse order. Third, on the double decker bus, one will need to pay attention to trees, street signs and traffic lights sticking out to the street when you do the city tour. It is a bit dangerous if you stand up and not paying attention while on the top deck.Written May 4, 2024
- veenk20240 contributionsOpen rouf tour bus ride on a highway to Everglades :(We went to an Everglades tour and suppose to be on a coach to a 1 hour plus journey on a highway. We were put on an open roof bus tour bus to the sawgrass recreation park and it was so dangerous and very windy and most people ended up going to the bottom of the bus and stood for the whole 1+ hour journey and some sat on the floor and some sat on the stairwell. It was raining at times too and having wind blown on the highway for that long period of time with a moving bus on a highway was just utterly dangerous. Company said coach had problems hence went on the open deck bus but that wasn’t the real Excuse. Driver was on the phone all the way back too. I have pictures and videos for proof.Written May 1, 2024

The tour of the city wasn’t bad, the communication with the tour people was awful. We took a tour to little Havana, and drove around the city.
We stopped at Bayside was split up into two groups, 1 that was going to the Everglades and the other that was going on the boat tour and he then walked away, not knowing what to do we followed.
He took everyone to a German restaurant for lunch, he was kinda of pushing people to have lunch there, I explained I didn’t want to eat, I wanted to shop, I had to wait 10 minutes for him to give me instructions, he said I then had to wait for the boat captain to get my tickets. I was told by the boat captain that we had to meet at 12:20 in front of Victoria Secret, I was also told I should stay at the restaurant because it was hard to find (not true).
The boat tour was over booked and people were crammed tight on the boat.
I wouldn’t recommend this tour, they also try raffle off a “free cruise” on the boat.
As we sitting in traffic going back to get dropped off, I am watching the bus driver texting.

Stay away. Poor value for your money. This was supposed to be a ride in a double decker bus to see various tourist attractions in the Miami and Miami Beach area. We could pay almost $40 at the storefront, or online for $25.99. We went with the online route. Once you have a ticket, you get to wait, standing in the hot sun, for 30-45 minutes for you bus....provided your bus comes back on time. Where does the bus take you? To a couple of tourist traps, for various stops. You will get the Little Havana/Calle Ocho "experience" by stopping at street with some touristy shops. You will get left at the Bayside collection of overpriced stores and restaurants. You will experience the gridlock that is the streets of Miami and Miami Beach. If you do fall for this scam, you will get an Uber back to you hotel.

We booked the combo “bus and boat tour” through their website and got a discount. Save yourself time and bring cash. We came to the meeting point from Surfside via Uber at 8:30am and it cost less than $14.
The bus narrator was very informative and entertaining. You will stop in “Little Havana” for Cuban coffee, a Cigar shop and a burger place that sells the BEST Mojitos!!!! After that you will head to Bayside. The trip host will take you to a restaurant called Bavaria Haus. You have an hour before lining up to board the cruise.
Both trips were informative. We had an hour after the boat excursion to shop at Bayside Mall.

It’s hard to imagine how this tour could have been worse. We thought the bus tour, with its late start and loud, juvenile comments by the guide were the worst, but then came the unannounced stop in Little Havana and endless flogging of selected businesses. Did I mention ignoring face mask guidelines despite posted signs everywhere? We looked forward to getting off the bus for lunch but the cruise operator told us we had to board NOW despite the fact that everyone had just ordered! So, with no lunch, we were marched down to the doc fr an hour of ear-piercing recorded music interspersed with bad and questionable jokes. The guide missed the opportunity to teach us something about the bay, but never missed the opportunity to beg for tips. As if. At the blessed end of the trip we had a one-hour wait for the bus, thanks to the cruise operator’s re-write of the schedule. This tour company owes an apology to the tourists, not to mention the restaurant where we tried to have lunch.

We payed for the city tour and we’re told there was no hop on hop off due to Corona. Only off in Little Havana. Thats perfect for us as we need to make it to a next stop.
All of the sudden we are dumped at Bayside with the message to wait for two hours for the next bus…
Wait what??? There were already a lot of angry people at the bus stop who were dumped two hours prior and already waiting 2 hours. Lot of people who just wanted to make it back to the start point. The tour guide who just collected tips told us to wait 2 minutes but left with a boat tour group and never came back. Little rude if you ask me.
We called with the company and spoke to the manager, also the bus driver called the company. In the end we could hop back on the same bus to make it back. Total took about 20-25 minutes of waiting on the bus stop.
We loved the tour up till that point, wish that was better arranged.

The bus tour was ok and the boat too. But when returning from the end of the tour at 6:00pm the bus don’t get you at the same spot where the bus ride starts. I felt my car parked there at a parking lot close to the bus stop. But they dropped off me along with my 3 kids, one autistic 30 minutes walking distance where my car was and 14 minutes car ride. I told the bus driver that I needed to be left the same spot where we started and he told me to drop off at the 5th Avenue and walk to block down to the Avenue. Not knowing anything about the city location I checked maps on my phone and realized that I needed to get a taxi in order to go back where o started our journey which cost me $25.
Our day could ended up being good but I was so scared and stressed to be in a city, dark evening with 3 kids and have to control my autist child and make important decisions at the same time very frustrating.
All after that I got my car, a very heavy headache and still in front of me, one hour drive back home.
Never again, thank you and good luck for all of you.
Ah! Don’t expect social distance!!!!

Did not deliver.
Said would have two stops- Little Havana and Wynwood Walls.
At the first stop, got there at 3:15pm; said to be back at the bus 3:35pm. The whole group was back, but no driver to be found. One of the passengers helped a second crew open the door to get in. Driver didn’t show until 3:45pm! No apologies, started moving without ensuring people on top deck were even sitting down.
Headed through Wynwood Walls area but never halted, either skipping because of delay at first stop or for whatever other reason.
Boat ran out of room on open deck (very top deck that sat 15 or 20 ppl was closed off). Last 10 people to board were forced to be on bottom which had a bar and bright lights reflecting off the windows (so could not see anything outside) Kids could see nothing at all because of window height.
Rip-off....would not recommend nor repeat.

One of the worst tours we’ve been on. As others have commented, I wish I’d read the reviews before hand. Our hotel suggested this tour and I now realize they get a portion of the fee. We enjoyed seeing the sights but the ‘guides’ were not very informative. The bus and boat people all emphasized heavily that they wanted tips- tacky in my opinion. The stops we made herded us to places that obviously had deals with the tour co- like the restaurant where we had to sit down to get our boat tickets! We didn’t stay to eat there but others did. Look for a better option! We’ve done hop/on hop/off tours in other cities that were significantly better.

The bus was old and overfull with people standing downstairs . It was difficult to hear the guides commentary as she spoke so quickly with a heavy Spanish accent making her hard to follow . When first booking tickets at the office on Lincoln Rd the booking clerk spoke almost no English and could not answer our queries . We were given an out of date map printed before the route was altered . We were not made aware of “compulsory stops ...” one at little Havana to visit a cigar shop ... and an hour long stop at Bayside which we did not wish to do . There was a lack of communication about avoiding a long wait for the next bus and by chance we were lucky to just catch the previous bus heading back to Miami Beach.
Whilst the trip was pleasant enough it was very disorganised .

We have taken this tour several times. So when my brother and his wife came to Miami we thought we would treat them to this tour. The tour exposes you to a lot of terrestrial Miami and the boat portion is always fun and informative. The day we went was a perfect Miami afternoon. And the tour itself is well organized and the people running the tours are both courteous and efficient. This tour, like the previous tours went on without hitch. If I have one compliant, It is that they have habit of corralling you into, what I suspect are their favorite spots. One of which is a restaurant between the city tour and the beginning of the boat tour. Not knowing anything about the area and only having 25 minutes to eat, you are pretty much locked into this space. Now here’s my rub....the cheapest thing on the menu is a hamburger and Margarita and that bill, which includes their automatic gratuity of 18% and it comes to $50.34 for two. That’s a gotcha.

Can we hop on and off? Or it only stops at the designated destinations? Is there a fixed time we have to be present for the boat?
Written August 3, 2022
It is not a hop on/hop off tour. The boat tour is fixed a little less than an hour. It is a horrible tour. There is a company called Bigbus that I was told is a hop on/hop off tour. You can schedule a separate boat tour at Bayside. I actually thing the boat tours in Fort Lauderdale are better than Miami
