- Mitchell R0 contributionsEducational, delicious, and a lot of fun. This experience began promptly on time and stayed on time through the duration of the event. A very small group of about 14 of us took a .5 mile tour of little Havana. During this 2.5 hour experience, we were filled with Cuban – American knowledge, tried some wonderful delicacies, including Cuban coffee, empanadas, a Cubano sandwich, plantain chips, mojitos, churros, and ice cream. Included in the tour was an amazing cigar-roller and cigar shop. This excursion was a lot of fun and quickly ended after 2 1/2 hours. Highly recommended! Ariel was an amazing guide. Would definitely do this again.Written September 29, 2024

Our tour guide Ria was awesome. She was very personable and passionate about the culture of south beach. She pointed out the art structures of the building and allowed us to appreciate the upbringing of this beautiful city. The restaurants she took us too were so good! I am officially adicted to empanadas and foccacia. Can't wait to go back home and find places that serve these, even though I know they won't compare to here. Thank you Ria!

If you can't have a soft sport for your host Mirka, then there is something wrong with you. Full of passion and love for her City, we were sold immediately. So much so, we visited 3 of her recommendations last night - Wet Willie's and call me a cab frozen cocktail; Mango's tropical cafe (absolute madness in here) and finally Kush at the Cleveland - a $20 burger sounds excessive but its the best burger I've had in a long, long time. Vamos Argentina Mirka.

Because of flight and cruise problems, our walking tour was not possible and even with rescheduling it for a week later, we were unable to do this highly anticipated tour. But I still wanted to write a review based on the fantastic response from the people connected with South Beach Cultural Food and Walking Tour and Trip Advisor people who helped with my refund. Numerous text messages and emails were sent back and forth and I always received a reply. Thank you!

My wife and I just completed the South Beach Culinary and Art Deco tour with Jennifer as our guide. It was a terrific tour. The food tastings were all excellent and Jennifer explains each item beautifully. Her substantial culinary background compliments the tour beautifully!
Jennifer’s Art Deco knowledge was very informative and greatly added to the entire tour experience. She was also very engaged and friendly with each of us participating in the tour. I highly recommend her and this tour!

Loved this tour! As a former Miami resident, we wanted to go on a food tour to see what has changed in the city since we lived there years ago. Robyn was an amazing, energetic, and super knowledgeable guide! We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. She makes the group feel comfortable right away, and the way she connects the history and foods to the city are so refreshing. Learned so much about not only food, but architecture and the people that made South Beach great. Loved Robyn’s passion and all her fun surprises along the way! Will definitely take another tour next time we are in town!

Mirka was a fabulous guide for myself, my husband, and my two daughters (ages 8 and 12). We stopped at 5 different locations to try all different types of food and we also learned a lot about the history of South Beach. The food was delicious, the guide was very personable and knowledgable, and we had a great time. I recommend doing this tour towards the beginning of your trip, as Mirka gave us so many suggestions as to places we might want to visit and things we may want to do. Next time we are in the area, we will definitely try another walking tour.

This walking tour is a great way to see the South Beach area of Miami whilst soaking up the crazy South Beach atmosphere. We grazed as we learned about the culture and history of the area. We also visited Art Deco hotel lobbies that retained beautiful original features and architecture.
Ria was an informative and entertaining guide, and the pace of the tour was comfortable. The food selections/venues varied from a proper plated meal in a sit down restaurant, to a snatched chunk of bread in a bakery and a cup of gelato walking the streets. In our opinion the best food was at Bolivar's, which was the meeting place and the first bar/restaurant on the trail, where we sampled empanada and tasted the most delicious ceviche, washed down with a soda and beer concoction. We think it would have completed the experience if there had been more sample drinks (other than water) at the other food venues.
Even though there are plenty of eateries in Miami, I think we would have found it tricky to navigate our way round the unfamiliar cuisine so this was an ideal way to combine eating out with finding out about the area. We were in Miami for a pre-cruise stay and it was a great use of the short time we had there.

Our tour guide Robyn was very informative and gives fantastic stories that takes you back in time. We learn an incredible amount of the miami lifestyle and how the food we have now combined cultures together. Oh and let me tell you about the food!!! Each food stop was creating a mission of deliciousness in our mouth. The time spent with her was excellent and also my group as well. This was my first food tour and Robyn makes me want to come back and experience it all over again. This tour will definitely not disappoint especially if your not a local!

We loved our food tour of South Beach and the art decor buildings..we not only got local history, and cultural information, but went into so many lovely places to sample food, that we never would have known about. No waiting at any location, great sampling...wonderful food and great enthusiastic guide, Lana! It was especially lovely to see the beautiful art deco hotels on Ocean Boulevard as evening approached and the buildings were lit with all the lovely lights.

I reserved a Miami Skyline 90 min Cruise of South Beach Millionaire Homes & Venetian Islands at 10. It lasts 1h30. THe dropoff id at Bayside Marketplace, 401 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132, USA. Do I have time to reserve a spot on your tour that starts at noon? What would you recommend?
Written March 21, 2022
I would not recommend doing that. Cutting it pretty close depending on traffic. However K73kos is correct that the meeting spot is the first restaurant. So you are there for awhile. If you let them know you might be running late and will come inside when you arrive. And to double check they are keeping the same schedule of places.
