    cooling needed. had all else
Great service, good cooking, just not enough places to cool off at. Other than that, great time, and would recommend it to others

    Fun for a rainy day.
Good museum for the family. Not a lot of differently focused exhibits, Focus for us was mainly the space exhibit. We also spent some time in the aquarium. We went through pretty quickly with the kids ages 9 and 11, but we followed their lead. Museum could use a little modernizing but otherwise fun exhibits.

Great for kids of all ages
This was the perfect size museum for young kids. They were able to walk it no problem just needed a stroller at the end. The planetarium was fun and included in admission! We originally were going to the sea aquarium but hearing of its closure we chose this. The aquarium portion the kids lived. Lots of interactive exhibits the kids loved seeing like a hammerhead shark. The gift shop could be better that was our only disappointment. We found some great books but they were only in Spanish.

    Awesome!! Loved it!!
This was great! They had an aquarium that added an awesome aspect to it. There shark exhibit was really cool as well. Would recommend having a reservation for a show at the planetarium because it was pretty interesting. The parking is only 18 dollars but you have to get there early if you want to get a spot but this was on a really busy day so it might differ on a less busy day. Some of it is sort of outdoors so it might be really hot in the summer. Highly recommend a visit if you are in the area!

    Extremely expensive
We had an OK time. I think the challenge was how crowded it was so we had a tough time seeing / touching / experiencing all the place had to offer (and my kiddo is terribly shy and needs his space). For $65+ for entrance fee for 1 adult and 1 child + $18 parking + $28 for a hot dog and sandwich (I skipped the $6 bottled iced tea) - this was too much $ for 1.5 hours (including the 20 min wait to get the hot dog). Maybe we will try again when it isn’t ‘peak’ time. Sadly, disappointed.

A very nice place to visit with the kids close to the cruise terminal
I visit the museum on April with my wife and son. The museum is very close to the cruise terminal we visit the dinosaur theme where we see many full size dinosaur. We went to the space theme and view the movie in the cinema which is a mast see experience.( You will be probably get dizzie. It is not for recommended for below 4 years old child.) We visit the flying theme where we see from flying dinosaur to space ship and the aquarium theme where we visit the outside aquarium located on the top of the building and my son was able to touch a live stingray. The restaurant was very average. You will need nore than 3 hours in order not to be rushed. The day we visit there where many schools so if you have a change to visit a weekend it would be better.

Great way to spend a hot Miami summer day!!
We had so much fun at this museum! We got there when it opened at 10 and stayed until 2. We especially enjoyed the special Mummy exhibit, the aquarium, and the planetarium show. So glad we spent the hot and humid day there!

    Amazing experience to children
I visited the Frost Museum of Science with my family and we had a blast! The museum is very spacious and has a lot of interactive exhibits that appeal to all ages. We especially enjoyed the aquarium, where we saw sharks, rays, and colorful fish. The planetarium show was also amazing, with stunning visuals and sound effects. The museum has a convenient parking garage and a nice cafe. It is a great place to spend some hours and learn about science in a fun way. Highly recommended!

    Great trip!
We decided to head here when the weather took a turn and it was so good! Great for all ages. We enjoyed the variety between a historical museum, science museum, planetarium and aquarium! We spent around 3 hours there which we felt was enough but if you had young kids I imagine you’d be a lot longer.

Don’t sleep on the Frost Science Center
Fantastic place for all ages. Aquarium, museum, planetarium and so much more. Miami is a great town full of great restaurants, beaches and nightlife, but don’t skip this if you have time in your schedule.

    Really interesting!
I really enjoyed several exhibits and the layout of the museum itself. TOO MANY children running around unttended not caring about running in front of wheelchair. The Mummies Exhit was really fascinating. The three fish and deep sea exhibits were not enjoyable from a wheelchair, children everywhere! Spacious museum, parents should acknowledge some exhibits are not for small children and crying, shouting, screaming chdren can ruin experience for everyone, especially at $30 a head. I just scanned the fish and sharks because they were the most interesting to the throngs of children and campers on the loose. Overall, I had a great time and really loved the mummy exhibit!

    Triple combo museum
Loved the place because with only one entrance ticket you will have a beautiful science museum, aquarium and planetarium. Plus delicious restaurant with ocean view and a big park facing downtown Miami. Highly recommended!!

    Don't waste your money
The most boring uninteresting museum I have ever been to, with exhibits designed by people with absolutely no imagination. Its an impressive building with a lot of space that has potential for so much more. I'd rip out everything except the planetarium and take some inspiration from the London science museum. The aquarium was appalling too, loads of space but small uninteresting displays. As for the reptile area, we couldn't even see some of the snakes because their (cruelly tiny) boxes had glass that reflected the sunlight so we couldn't see in. I cannot believe I wasted so much money visiting this place, feel totally ripped off.

    Pretty good
Overall pretty good. I really like the layout. It’s 6 floors and they suggest you start at the top and work your way down which is pretty much what I did. About half of the museum is actually outside so plan accordingly. The cafe is your typical overpriced attraction food. I do appreciate that they offered more than just burgers and fries. The portions are huge so that’s good. The gift shop is pretty typical. I bought several items. Gift shop prices were pretty on par with other attractions. I went to the special dinosaur exhibit and liked the audio tour. I wish the rest of the Museum offered this. The girl working in the mammoth exhibit really liked her job which made it a pleasant experience. The planetarium show was good. Your admission comes with one planetarium show of your choosing. I wish you could see them all though. I’ve been to many museums and this one definitely has the best layout. I never got lost. Lots of signage too.

Worth the visit for all ages
Adults, 3yr old, and 9 year old all enjoyed spending 3 hours here, not even seeing the whole place! The indoor/outdoor layout of this museum is unique and wonderful! We didn’t feel like we were visiting a museum but rather having a natural science experience in Miami. 3 floors of aquarium were fabulous and the dinosaur section was interesting. Lots of things to do and see within each area. Kids will not get bored. They have an attached indoor parking lot, but very small and expensive. We couldn’t get a spot there but found nearby street (metered) parking easily. The 1 cafe has lots of food options and seating, but lines were u too long for us to try it (visited on a rainy day during spring break, so very crowded).

I was a little iffy on going here because my family aren’t as interested in science as i am, but as soon as we got outside everyone’s minds changed! There’s an outdoor park area near by the water with amazing sculptures palm trees perfect for taking photos. And once you get inside there’s 3 floors of marine animals, a planetarium, an exhibit on sharks, an exhibit on history of rocket flight, and a crazy view of the miami skyline on the 6th floor. In all their exhibits there are little interactive activities fun for all ages. Would recommend buying tickets online and starting on the top floor while making your way down to avoid as much traffic. But overall lovely place, friendly staff and great for family time.

My family (my father, stepmother, two stepbrothers, nephew, niece, boyfriend) and I took a day trip to the Frost Science Museum recently, which was amazing. There were many levels to the huge building, each with a variety of attractions. We spent the whole day looking at huge aquariums with many different marine species, experiencing the "Journey Through Space" exhibition, and petting stingrays. The view of Miami's infrastructure was beautiful from this tall building, as you could observe it if you could make it to the museum's top floor. The younger kids (my niece and nephew) who came along really enjoyed the petting stingrays part. There was an assistant/worker there to watch over the kids and guide them on the correct way to pet them. The aquariums were gorgeous and there were so many of them. The only downside of this experience was how unorganized the food court area was. We waited in line for nearly 30 minutes just to be told it would still be around an hour wait until we could get our food. Thankfully, snacks are provided and the kids preferred ice cream anyway. Overall, this was a wonderful experience, I just recommend bringing your own snacks and water (because it is HOT in summer)!!

This felt very different to all other "Miami" activities. It offers the possibility of keeping kids engaged throughout the day while avoiding the Miami heat and humidity.

The Museum has multiple different exhibits + special Planetarium shows which are quite easy to book and enjoyable to watch. Regarding the exhibits, they're hit or miss. I would recommend focusing on anything "Space" related.

Bonus points for the views from the upper floors - they're gorgeous.

Why isn't it 5/5? Because it falls short vs. other "Museum" experiences in big US cities. And given the price tag they're charging, they are competing against a tough benchmark such as NYC/DC museums, or the Boston Science Museum as well.

The Frost Science Museum is a really nice place. You can easily spend a whole day there. It surely is educational and there are many experiments to try out yourself. It's also suited for kids.
I recommend taking at least one of the 30 min shows in the Planetarium. You can book these directly at the museum.
A highlight is the aquarium you can access from three different levels of the building. Don't miss the lowest level where you can see the sharks swimming directly over your head!

Very nice museum, quite interactive and with a variety of themes to explore. Upon arrival, we parked in the museum's own garage (pay 18usd), went up a ramp and bought the tickets at the ticket office. We toured the mummies area, very interesting and at the same time gives a bit of an impression, especially the baby mummies... then we were able to watch a show in the planetarium, which has a curved screen that simulates an observatory. The experience is a little dizzy and somewhat alarmist, however, the images and effects are pleasant.
Then we did another area that I don't remember exactly the name, something with LAB, which was interactive, but several of the activities were out of order. The most fun thing was the screen with a temperature sensor. And finally, mine and my son's favorite part was the aquarium and the floor that lights up when you walk. Aquariums have stained glass windows that play with perspectives. They range from fish to sharks and turtles. Also seahorses and jellyfish.

My husband and I were drawn here because of the planetarium (we love a good planetarium), but were further intrigued in by the aquarium/ museum combo.

This became one of our favorite museums ever! We loved how it was indoor/outdoor, and enjoyed walking around the park grounds. The highlight was how interactive the museum was for both adults and kids! I was not expecting the unbridled joy that came with the surprise of the stingray touch tank. The coral research labs and coral section of the aquarium were captivating, as well. We learned a lot in the feathers to stars exhibit, and would highly recommend talking your time in there. We finished by going to a planetarium showing, and it was very well done.

The gift shop was quite fun, and they had lovely post cards, so of course we picked some up to frame and add to our gallery wall at home.

We came at 2pm on a Thursday, and it wasn't crowded, but there were some rowdy kiddos, as well as other couples.

Visited the Frost Science Museum in January 2024. There are 6 levels to explore. So wear comfy walking shoes and give yourself plenty of time to explore. Paid parking garage, gift center, multilingual highlight guides available at the main entrance, and wristbands are required.

There are elevators, stairs, and inclines to navigate each floor- aquarium, planetarium, marine conservation wetlands, and observation desk on the roof. And, of course, bench seating throughout to refresh your body. Friendly employees, imaginative educational exhibits, great lighting in a well designed facility equates to
a definite must to visit when in Miami.

Took two under tens for the day during a trip to Miami….. in then end we were there for less than 90 minutes including the planetarium show.
The exhibits are underwhelming and their interactive displays are uninspiring. It felt like going back 20 years. The curators need to get out there and see how the world has moved on, they’re now outclassed by most museums across the US and Europe in particular. You can’t survive at these prices indefinitely on past reputation, location and clever photography of a fish tank.

Great for all ages! The aquarium is wonderful, a wealth of species of fish and marine animals! The presentation of the planetary leaves much to be desired. I went with many expectations because of the planetary of São Paulo (which is beautiful) and I was disappointed.. The museum restaurant is not worth it, we don't like the meal and too expensive for what they offer! Anyway, it is a tour that if you are with kids and teenagers, you should go!

Because of weather back home, we had 3 unexpected days to explore Miami. The Frost Center was an average science museum. The exhibits had lots of written explanations but they were long and often hard to figure out what display they were referring to. Many of the hands on exhibits were hard to operate or were not working. The aquarium was small and disappointing. Their main tank that was visible on most levels was hard to see into at most places and had not as many specimens as we’ve come to expect at large city aquariums especially one located on the coast. The coral reef exhibit and staff were the highlight of our visit. The scientist there gave us a great demo and answered lots of questions. The planetarium show was interesting. For the cost of admission it would have been nice to be able to see more than one show. For what it was I thought the admission was high. The restaurant was clean and had fair expected at such a place but prices were high for what we got. If you are only in town for a short amount of time I would not waste my time visiting here.
