Nothing says Cuban heritage like cigars and rum. Guests will meet their guide and then begin a journey to the past by visiting a cigar factory or shop and learn the traditional technique of growing tobacco leaves, the rolling process and how to light a cigar. Yes you get to keep the cigar and smoke if you choose. Then for the rum pairing and tasting! Learn about this longtime spirit made famous by pirates of the Caribbean and sample different blends to find the one that best complements your cigar. Guests will sample 3 types of rum all with a backdrop of Cuban artwork and ambiance of salsa or bachata music.

    Great tour, great guide!
We really enjoyed our tour and guide Janinha Piazzetta. She was very knowledgeable about Miami Beach through the decades and told fun stories and shared unique history and information about the development of the community and the Art Deco designs. Our party enjoyed seeing the many buildings and walking along the coast. We felt all the cocktails were tasty, but though the first one was the best!

Little Havana food and cultural tour
My 2 college aged family members and I had a wonderful tour and learned so much. Jennifer is so knowledgeable and passionate about the culture and history of Little Havana, Cuba and Miami in general. Her energy and interaction with our group made the trip so enjoyable We had fun sampling traditional food and drinks from the area, learning about and watching an expert rolling Cuban cigars and just experiencing and interacting with the small business owners and residents of the area. We would definitely book another tour (especially with Jennifer!)

    Art Deco Tour
Jennifer was everything you want in a tour guide. Very knowledgable , loves Miami and has all the local insights and is most kind. Would have anybody that wants to learn about Miami do a tour with her. I did the art deco tour and was mesmerised by the places she brought me and learned a lot about the features of this style and learned about by Miami too in the process.

Perfect start to a visit to South beach
We headed out on an Art Deco walking tour of South Beach with Jennifer on our first morning in the city. What a way to start…a potted history of the architecture and its arrival in South Beach, some fantastic access to the Art Deco gems along the main strip and stories and anecdotes a plenty. Jen was informative, interesting and super friendly…could not have asked for more!

Best way to experience Miami Beach
We simply LOVED having Janinha as our guide for this tour. I think what I loved the most was that her knowledge was also from experience. She’s actually lived in the area and knows the locals quite well. She taught us so much about the area. We feel like now when we visit these Art Deco hotels we have a little inside scoop especially how to tell if they had a casino. Thank you for making the start of our day amazing!!! I would highly recommend.

    Very interesting tour
Had a great tour with Cary. Cary is very knowledgeable. She knows information first hand as she’s related to some big figures involved in establishing Cuba and Cuban exile community in the US. I learnt so much new stuff! Highly recommend taking the tour with her.

A walking tour through the History of Little Havana
We met with Maria Cary P at the Bay of Pigs monument and got a great high level overview of the events that resulted in the settlement of so many Cuban nationals to Miami. The tour then shifted to tasting the flavors of Cuba in Little Havana. From the freshly squeezed juice to the croquettes, from the hand rolled cigars to the Havanera shirt shops we were immersed into the local culture and traditions. I would absolutely recommend this tour if you are in the Miami area and want to experience the sights and flavors of the Cuban community.

This tour is a must! We were in town celebrating some birthdays and had a wonderful afternoon learning sipping and smoking. Our guide was amazing. So much fun and even taught us how to dance and made our last stop a place where we got to put our rum cigar and new dance moves into practice with a live band! Honestly it felt like we were walking around with friends! This is a must do !!

Hello! Thank you so much for sharing your experience on the Cigar & Rum Tasting tour. So glad you had a wonderful time. We've curated a tour where each stop builds on the prior one. It begins with history and technique, and ends as you said with a culmination of cigar, mojitos and dancing for those who want to end on a high note. Salud! Little Havana Tours

The Tour Guide, Christine, accompanied by someone else, was extremely knowledgeable and well prepared... I even learned the unexpected such as finding out that there were paintings made out of cigar leaves! I had never heard of that but not being a cigar smoker, I was intrigued by the amount of detail and her knowledge. Tours generally bore me but this one maintained my attention, it was full of fun and enthusiasm vs just a regular memorised script (as in other tours)... Also, other tourists attending that tour were also awed by the way it was run (especially trying out very special rums that I had not heard of before and the “cafe cubano” in different locations throughout 8th Street and its very Latin ambiance and the flavour of those locations.

Not being a Cigar smoker, I was convinced to go on the tour and I didn’t expect much, however, it turned out to be a pleasant surprise that I very very strongly recommend! I must say the tour was definitely an excellent tasting experience of Cuban culture in every sense.

Any tours run by Christine Michaels will be very much worth it, you should not miss out!

Saludos Monica, Wow! Thank you for the detailed review. This Little Havana Cigar tour covers more than expected and yes we do have guests who do not smoke but love learning the history and culture and can give the cigars to someone as a gift. Christine has a flair for presenting with passion and authenticity and really knows about cigars and spirits. And not just Cuban style cigars. She's the only female i Miami leading this unique experience. Plus she'll throw in a dance lesson too for those who feel they have no rhythm and two left feet--she can teach anyone. Come back soon for our introductory tour or other specialty tours Little Havana Part 2, Art & Cocktail and Dark Riches tour. Salud! LITTLE HAVANA TOURS
