      The experience of a lifetime!
We took the sunset cruise with the crew of Mike and Mike and they are absolutely the best. WE saw dolphins jumping completely out of the water and into the air. Then a waterside tour of the beautiful homes. As sunset approached, Captain Mike took the boat out into the Gulf of Mexico and initially positioned it so a schooner in the area was in front of the sun for beautiful pictures. Then he positioned the boat so that Crewmake Mike could take a picture of each group with the sunset behind us, using OUR cameras so no additional cost. They were funny, pleasant, and enjoyable. This is a MUST DO and we will go again, only with them, whenever we are back in the area.

      Great value
Crew was pleasant. Very enjoyable boat cruise with lots of really close dolphin experiences. I was concerned about motion sickness but the areas they go are shallow and calm. We fealt it was a great value. Highly recommend!

Great time even when it was a little chilly out
I took my 84 year old mother on the tour. She had never seen dolphins in the wild and in the bay we saw lots of them. It was a cloudy, cool and windy day and even though we had layers on we made use of the blankets that they wonderfully had on board as well. The tour guides were wonderful with facts about the dolphins and information on some of the beautiful homes in the area. Because it is a pontoon type vessel the tour would be wonderful for families, although it was all adults on our tour. You will pay to park at John's Pass where the tour is based, but we had no trouble finding a place to park. If you book ahead of time the ticket area is on the same level as the boat and in the buildings right behind the dock. There is a restroom there as well.

Great day out seeing dolphins in Gulf of Mexico
My family and I had a great time with Dolphin Quest. Their barge had enough seating for everyone. Within 15 min of leaving the harbour the crew spotted some dolphins. Was able to get up close and people were allowed to stand to get a better view. The captain provided some insight on them as the boat tried to follow their path. Second half of the cruise was seeing the waterfront mansions. Highly recommend Dolphin Quest!

      So many dolphins!
We started out in the gulf and saw so many dolphins really lucky. Then came back in and went on a tour of the bay. Wildlife islands and expensive homes. Captain and crew were great. They had beer, wine and soft drinks for purchase on board.

Dolphin Quest in Madeira Beach John's Pass
My husband and I went on the DolphinQuest sightseeing boat tour, and had a wonderful time. The boat was clean and had comfortable padded seats, beverages and snacks were very reasonably priced, and there was a clean bathroom on board. As promised, we saw a ton of dolphins that were obviously comfortable around their boat because they came right up next to it ! We experienced a pod with several baby dolphins that surrounded the boat. It was truly amazing. The captain and crew narrated the tour, and showed us some notable homes and historic places as well. They were funny and informative. We will definitely bring our family and friends visiting for the holidays to show off the beautiful waters and amazing animals.

      AMAZING Experience!
My husband and I have been visiting the Treasure Island / John’s Pass area for over 13 years and we absolutely love it! We’ve never missed an opportunity to do the Dolphin Quest with Captain John, it’s such a fun and exciting experience. This year was no different but we decided to make it a trip just for my hubby and our 9 year old son. The weather was gorgeous and Captain John and first mate Troy did an excellent job on the tour. They saw so many dolphins! My son was so excited talking about how they were playing, jumping and close to the boat. It’s also very educational and my son came back spouting facts and information about all sorts of things. Captain John has always been so friendly and kind, he’s very patient; it’s a great experience for the entire family. We will definitely be back!

      Fun and relaxing boat ride!
We very much enjoyed the dolphin boat. We saw a mom and baby dolphin playing and a few other dolphins along the way. The captain was very knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend!

      Fun
We did the dolphin tour on a Friday afternoon with our 3 yr old and 9 yr old. They did a good job getting us to the dolphins and up close we even saw a mom and a baby and learned new facts about dolphins and the area around. We used a Groupon deal with no issues. Fun way to see the area and beautiful dolphins. They sell drinks and it’s really nice that it’s a covered boat so your not in the sun the entire time with no shade.

      Book during tourist season only!
My friend and I booked a 4pm cruise a couples weeks prior to our visit. At a little after 3 the day of our cruise, I was contacted by the company saying there weren’t enough people signed up and it would most likely be canceled. I understand the need for a minimum turnout, but what was frustrating was that we were not notified until less than an hour before. Not only had we planned our entire day around it, but an earlier heads up would have allowed us to rebook on an earlier cruise or given us ample time to figure out plan B. Our tour was the last one for the day so they could only offer to rebook for the next day which did not work with our out of town travel plans. I did get a full refund and I know they couldn’t help the fact that we were the only two signed up but I will probably book with another company in the future. The lack of notice and minimal apologies added to the disappointment of missing what would have been a fun adventure!

Best water tour I’ve ever been on!!
I went on this tour twice. One time in 2016 and one in 2019. The crew is spectacular! Captain Greg is a great captain! I would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun outing on the sea!

Great adventure and sure to see dolphins!
Love this place! Brought the entire family a few years ago when they visited and they requested it again when visiting recently! Great adventure. Guide is always fun, pointing out other things in the area, plus seeing lots of dolphin.

Great Way To End Our Week
After cruising in the gulf for a while we didn’t see any dolphins so the captain took the boat back into Boca Ciego and we saw a lot of dolphins! A mother with a new baby was cruising around along with several other adult dolphins and most of the time they were within 25 feet or so of the boat. It was a great experience and fully worth the cost. Do yourselves a favor and take the cruise.

We had a group of 12 family members that went on the sunset cruise with Captain Paul and Amelia. It was great!! Captain Paul and Amelia were welcoming, friendly, and set a very fun festive tone for our trip. They brought us to see many dolphins and made sure we had a great view of the sunset--peaceful, enjoyable-not around other boats.
The cost was reasonable for the trip as well the drinks and snacks that were available for purchase. Highly recommend!!

Found this dolphin cruise on Groupon and decided to give it a go. I’m really glad we did! The views of the bay and the Gulf were spectacular! The crew was very knowledgeable about the area. We saw plenty of dolphins on our cruise playing right next to the boat!! The crew gave us plenty of time to watch them and capture pictures! Just before sunset the took us to the Gulf to watch the most beautiful sunset you’ll ever experience! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone!! So neat!!

What a joke. Operator tells us after 10 minutes that he’s gotta cancel due to lightning strikes in the area. Proceeds to continue tour for another 20 minutes. We were told everyone would get a full refund but of course when we went back to get our refund, 50 percent was only offered. Why? Because the tour lasted over 30 minutes. Very fishy indeed.

Hi, Unfortunately, we cannot control the weather. For the safety of everyone on board, in the event of lightning strikes in the area, we must return to the dock. This is beyond our control. If the Captain announced that we were returning to the dock due to lightning, there is no way he would have continued the cruise for another 20 minutes. More than likely, he was heading back to the dock. I refer you to our policy which is clearly printed on your ticket and posted on our website: "Activities may be canceled due to severe weather: Cruises usually run in light rain and other moderate weather conditions, but we may cancel the cruises in the event of severe or unsafe weather conditions. If we cancel the cruise, guests will be allowed to reschedule tickets (subject to availability) or receive credit for a future cruise. Guests will be given a 50% refund if their scheduled cruise is interrupted prior to halfway through due to sudden changes in weather. Once the cruise is halfway through or more, we consider that to be a full trip."

Captain Jeff & Kirsten did a great job, Kirsten was a dolphin trainer at sea-world and knows really everything about dolphins, we not only had a great trip but also learned a lot, like that a Killer Whale is actually not a whale but a large dolphin species and more. they also showed us some cool waterfront mansions and have drinks on board should you want one. Great Tour, highly recommended!

Jeff and Kirstin were fabulous! Excellent information shared about dolphins that made us want to learn more. We saw a lot of dolphins within minutes of our 12pm departure. The tour got a little long for our 6 and 8 year old but we loved the house information part of the tour. If you have super young kids you may want to pick a shorter tour or pack a lot of snacks!

We took this tour after spending several days at our accommodation in Johns Pass without having seen a single dolphin. Promised dolphins were found quite soon after and the captain together with his colleague did a good job of entertaining us. They told us about both houses and accommodations in the area, as well as other sights and animals.

We had some pretty annoying tourists on our trip, who ran back and forth on the boat to take pictures and almost pushed themselves in front of others. It was a shame that the staff couldn't tell them in a good way, because these people spoiled the experience a bit for the rest of us. An elderly lady with mobility difficulties next to us got several times some crazy tourists who stood right in front of her which hindered her vision completely.

Combined with the warm weather, this was a nice tour with fun staff. There are light snacks and drinks available on the boat (cash though!) Recommend.

Great cruise! We took the sunset cruise and we’re able to see plenty of dolphins. It was also my moms 71st birthday and the captain and all the passengers sang her happy birthday. We had a little trouble finding the loading area to get on the cruise, so make sure you know where you’re going before you go.

The sunset cruise was one of the highlights of our week staying on Treasure Island. Captain Steve and Kristen were fantastic hosts who gave us some great information about the dolphins and the area, but also gave us peace to enjoy the scenery and soak up the beauty of the sunset. There was good choice of drinks to buy on board. We saw loads of dolphins and birds. We chose this cruise as we wanted a peaceful experience and were glad we did as the other boat that went out looked quite packed and noisy.

I’m a local to the area and this was by far the best dolphin experience I have been on. The crew were very professional and full of dolphin facts. They knew exactly where to take us and the dolphins hung around our boat the entire time. In the past, I’ve only been able to see one or two dolphins,
so this was a nice surprise. The drinks were reasonably priced and the music was really fun. I will definitely bring back family and friends on this adventure.

My husband and I had a wonderful time! There were dolphins all around the boat almost immediately! Jamey, the driver, kept us entertained with his awesome sense of humor while Kirsten filled our heads with knowledge about the dolphins and our belly’s with food and drinks! The sunset was breathtaking! I highly recommend this sunset cruise to anyone visiting this area!
