So fun!!!!
Went out with Tim for a historical walking tour of downtown. During this one and a half hours each part became alive and rich with history. Tim has done his research and combined with his flawless timing and organization we had a great time. We had planned a dinner out so this historical tour was just perfect for before. We went at 530 pm. Tim entertained all questions easily and with background knowledge. It was awesome learning about the history and current events about who inhabits the magnificent Victorian homes in this town. Won’t regret!!

Timothy was an excellent guide. He is a great storyteller and has an impressive understanding of history, not only of Amelia Island, but in general. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting to understand more about how Amelia Island came to be what it is today.

Entertaining and interesting tour to learn a little history of the downtown area. Perfect sized tour group of about 13 of the nicest people with a very personable and knowledgeable guide. He kept us moving, always seemed to stop us perfectly in the shade, and was easy to hear. My husband and I always enjoy learning a little bit of local knowledge about the areas we visit and this tour was perfect.

We recently enjoyed an early Saturday morning walking tour with Timothy of the beautiful historic Fernandina downtown. Not only was it a lovely walk along the main and side streets, but enjoyable learning the history of the area. Some good ghost stories (with a disclaimer from our guide) as well as other antidotes really added to the experience. Highly recommend this as a nice activity.

Thank you.
Amelia Island is full of rich history.
Sometimes I feel like I have only scratched the surface of what took place on Amelia Island.
I can only hope that the ghost of the past are happy that their stories are being retold.

Timothy was a fountain of interesting information about the history of the area and the "behind the scenes" stories. Our guide brought the museum info to life. He was extremely considerate about the walking pace. A delightful gentleman. Thank you Timothy! Bless you!

Tim understands that what history is all about, is the telling of stories. And this is why historical fiction novels are so much more interesting reading than the boring history books that you had to memorize cover to cover in college. Because it's not just facts and figures and dates and names that make history fascinating, it's the story.
Tim is an engaging and enthusiastic tour guide and he presents a fountain of informative stories about the history of Fernadina Beach that make the 90 minutes fly by.
I can't believe it took us 10 years of visits to Fernandina to finally take a walking tour! but absolutely well worth it, highly recommend this to anyone.

Timothy is AWESOME!! He has a smooth, booming voice from which he shares so much history in his tour. He highlights the major info and sprinkles obscure details making his tours rich with facts and stories. I highly recommend this tour and guide.

Timothy is a gifted teacher of the local history, despite being a transplant. He has a laid-back temperament that puts everyone into a comfortable and at-ease mood that is 'ready' to absorb his fun facts. History teachers should be required to take his tour and learn how he weaves history and fun facts into captivating stories that keep the interests of his audience. I shall be recommending your tour to others visiting the area. Job well done, sir - well done!

Tim provided us with a detailed review of Amelia Island’s history - he covered all the questions we had and more. His in-depth knowledge was delivered in an engaging way, demonstrating his passion for the history of the area. He created an excitement in ourselves to learn more about the island’s many changes over the past 400+ years.

Hello. Are gift cards available? My sister recently moved to Fernandina beach and this would make a nice Christmas gift. Also I don’t see available dates for 2023. When will the 2023 calendar open up? Thank you.

What time does the tour start?
Written February 15, 2020
No, unfortunatley we do not do tours of the old St.Lukes Hospital, I'm sorry.
Our typical tour winds through the historical section of Fernandina. We discuss different time frames starting in 1500s, all the way through post- Civil War and how we became a state.
