- D7484XAlindseys00Incredible AdventureI surprised my husband with this incredible safari experience for his birthday, not really knowing what to expect. I'll admit, I had some reservations, but let me assure you, it was far from a disappointment! From the moment we met Heide until we reluctantly said our goodbyes, it was an absolute dream of a day. The timing of everything was perfect, creating a seamless and enjoyable journey. Heide's knowledge was seriously impressive – she had the scoop on everything from Florida's captivating history to the diverse array of plants we encountered. Her expertise added a whole new layer of appreciation to the adventure. We were both absolutely blown away by the variety of tours we embarked on – each one bringing a unique and exciting perspective to the local scene. But you know what? Some of the most unforgettable moments were the times we spent on the bus. Heide's engaging narratives and insights about Florida's past and present truly enriched the experience. I have to say, hands down, this was the highlight of our time in Florida. We're already making plans to return with our friends and family – we can't wait to share this incredible experience with them. Rest assured, we'll be enthusiastically recommending your safari tour to everyone in our circle and beyond! If you're looking for an unforgettable adventure that beautifully showcases Florida's charm, look no further. This safari tour is an absolute gem. A huge thank you to Heide and the entire team for making my husband's birthday so special and giving us memories we'll cherish forever. This is definitely a 5-star experience!
- tykenkaykam00The best guide ever!Mark Hamilton Quinn was an exceptional guide! He totally made our day! From the adults, young adults, teens & little ones he made everyone laugh, giggle & smile.
- jerrywline00Great Day!Mark was an excellent guide. Very informative and funny. The boat ride and the hands-on with the reptiles was exciting. Thank you again for a great experience.
- Alicia C00Awesome day!We only had one day to sight see in the Everglades area. We were able to see and do so much more than we would have on our own by going on this tour. The airboat ride was an awesome adventure. Captain Kenny went above & beyond to make sure we saw monster gators and beautiful birds. This was our favorite part! The lunch was delicious with friendly, quick service. The 10,000 Island cruise was wonderful. The beauty of the area is breathtaking! Captain Bobby and Cheese were knowledgeable and skilled at spotting all the creatures we wanted to see. Our tour guide, Heidi, was an incredible resource throughout the day. Her genuine enthusiasm for nature is obvious! She kept our group on track for a great day!
- ricers202300Great trip! Our guide Heidi was awesome and had an abundance of knowledge of wide life and Florida history that she shared during our trip. The boat captain was friendly and made sure we saw lots of gators!! The staff at the small store where the boats are docked were friendly too.
- margotwhite00This is the trip to go on for the Everglades!Heidi was our over all guide and her enthusiasm about the Everglade world, to say nothing about her encyclopedic knowledge, made for a most enjoyable and informative trip. In the swamp ride, my guests were delighted to see the many alligators. Since I'm from the area, I took my time to enjoy the pond apple trees that were magnificent. The boat driver in the swamps got a kick out of circling around when he found a graceful stilt or bittern. On the trail, we got to see native flora plus a remarkable owl staring close by, staring right at us. The boat driver on the lake was happy to take us around and able to answer the most obtuse questions. And if that's not enough, I'd travel back to Everglade City like none other "city" I've ever seen, just to enjoy the freshest grouper that ever jumped into my plate! I'm relieved that I found an elegant trip of the Everglades to share with my guests and that we had Heidi, a real naturalist and fine companion all day!
- mullinscharlie6400More Gators and dolphins then you can shake a stick at.Super nice staff and all of our expectations were met. The people that were in our group were really fun also everything was just a blast
- M142NRstephend00Lots of wildlife!Heidi was our tour guide and she was awesome! She has such a wealth of knowledge of wildlife and the area; we were impressed she was able to drive in Fort Myers’s traffic while spittin’ out facts. The tour consists of a nature walk, boat tour around 10,000 islands, and an airboat ride through an Everglades lake. It seems the order of these activists varies daily depending on weather and other factors. Highlights of the tour include seeing dolphins, manatees, and stingray on the boat tour, mother alligator sunbathing in the nature walk, and many alligators swimming around the lake on the airboat tour. Overall a very fun experience and worth every penny!
- sneville030300Everglades Day Safari - AmazingOur pick up was on time, our guide was amazing and the events of the day left nothing to be desired. I highly recommend this tour.
- MNhappyGetaway00Great sightingsWe saw lots of alligators and we had a very well informed naturalist, pointing out many bird and plant species. I could have done without the hour plus we spent looking at snakes and cooling our heels at the marina. If I did it again, I would look for a service with just the jet boat. But I appreciated not having to navigate my way to some other marina. Being picked up by a van in Ft Myers was very nice.
- Y5784RRjoannet00Best day everBest day ever. A full day of fun and diverse activities. I was able to see many species of birds, many alligators and dolphins with an exceptional naturalist guide. Just the best tour. I highly recommend this tour for all age groups.
- Leni180400Highly recommend it!!Our tour guide Mark was very entertaining and friendly. You can tell he has a lot of experience as a tour guide because he has an immense knowledge of the animals living in the Everglades an the trees you can find there. The 90 minutes boat tour was beautiful and also the airboat tour was exciting. We saw many alligators! It was a very personal and beautiful tour! Highly recommend it.
- Eveliz R00Exploring nature with my sonOverall the experience was organized and the tour guide was very informative and fun!! Always wanted to go on an airboat, so glad I booked the experience. Totally worth it!!
- southcovevt00Much better than the othersThis tour is perfect for kids and nature lovers. A naturalist picks you up in a minibus to drive to the location; during the ride you get an informative briefing about the Everglades ecosystem, and the wildlife you will see on the trip. The airboat ride is focused on spotting wildlife, and the ecology of what you're seeing. Post ride, your naturalist will give you an informative talk about crocs and snakes...hands-on if you wish. We've been with a competitive company once....but this was our third trip with this company. This is the only one to consider....
- ShelleyK24700Great way to spend a dayI cannot say enough great things about our guide Heidi, she is a wealth of knowledge and very friendly. She kept the day very interesting and moving, but never did I feel hurried. Our boat captain Bobby and our airboat driver Kenny were awesome. I would highly recommend his tour of the Florida Everglades, especially if you want to see Alligators!!!

All 7 of us, individually, were in awe of Pete’s knowledge, demeanor and not too pushy presence. Best knowledge of birds and fauna that I have ever come across. Amazing time for ages 9-75!! Thank you!! We will be back!

Everything was great and educational. Handling the reptiles (snakes and alligator), the nature hike, and the air boat ride on the lake. I was thinking the air boat ride would be in a marshier area like the “classic Everglades” but it was pretty much just on a lake. It was still cool seeing all the alligators and birds. I took an airboat ride before with another company and it was way more fun. Regardless, this was a fun experience and I don’t regret any of it.

Fun, educational, very enjoyable day in the Everglades.
My husband and 11 year daughter were very excited to see the wildlife of the Everglades. My teenage daughters and I were a bit more leery as we are a bit more squeamish about snakes, alligators etc. But we had an absolutely fabulous day!
Our guide Rhett was extremely knowledgeable, personable and enthusiastic to share all kinds of facts and information.
All five of us enjoyed the walk where we learned about the plants and animals of southwest Florida. On the airboat ride, with a very knowledgeable and personal captain, TJ, we saw many alligators, turtles and different species of birds. The interactive live animal experience was very informative and interesting and this mom who avoids even looking at snakes at all costs even held one!!
A great experience, highly recommend!

Had to wake up and meet Alex our guide early, 7:15am, but that was only downside to this wonderful day. Alex was very knowledgeable about wildlife and vegetation especially when it came to the birds.
Our first stop was a dolphin cruise at Goodland. Our guides, Captain Ed + Seth, were excellent and we were able to see baby dolphins up close as they played behind the boat. We had five stops all together including lunch which was delicious.
My favorite part was the airboat ride and Fred our guide showed us plenty of gators + birds. Fred was so friendly and his southern hospitality was the best as he's from Southwest Florida.
It's a long day but well worth it and I have already recommended this tour to a couple of friends from Minnesota. Thanks again to Alex and staff as you made this trip a wonderful experience!

The guided boat ride was excellent! Our guide Pete was very knowledgeable and the boat pilot gave us a varied experience of shore marsh and open water. The trail walk was doable for young and old. Keep in mind that the weather conditions (we were here in the dry season) will affect the walking conditions in the marsh and the kind and number of birds that can be seen. Lots of alligators, of course at a safe distance, in their natural habitat. The reptile show provides an opportunity to get as up close and personal with the indigenous, non-venomous reptiles as one feels comfortable.

Beautiful morning walk...hiking is a little different for me. :) Heidi was an awesome guide. The Air Boat ride was so cool. It was incredible to see the gators in their natural habitat. And we saw gators! Small, medium and LARGE. Heidi put the four children that were in our group up front with her which was a really great gesture. (or she wanted to make sure they didn't jump out. :) She was patient with the children when interacting with the snakes and baby gator. I would do this again. We even got to hear the Macaws? singing happy birthday on the front porch where our boat ride began. It was great!!

This Western Everglades Adventure was amazing! From informative to fun. I feel like the experience was very well rounded. We started with a nature walk. The scenery was not only beautiful but we learned so much about the environment that we were immersed in. Next, off to an exciting boat ride and then, when the fun just kept building, we concluded with a meet and greet of several animals, including being able to hold and touch different snakes and a small alligator! The experience was definitely wonderful for the whole family!

Rhett was a very knowledgeable guide and the airboat ride was great - lots of beautiful birds and plenty of gators, big and small, very close up. Lots of great photo opportunities between the ride and the snakes afterwards. Highly recommend!

We took our "7 almost 8" year old. Very educational and presented so the younger children could also understand. Involved the younger to keep them interested. Even though we live in north Florida we still learned. Our guide was the owner and was very knowledgeable and answered any questions asked. Adults and children enjoy handling the snakesand Alligators

Our tour guide, Mark, was extremely knowledgeable not only about the Everglades and Cypress Preserve but literally the entire Fort Lauderdale area, including his vast knowledge of the wildlife! The van was very comfortable which was good because we were on it all day. We learned way more about the history of this area on this tour than we would have if booked separately. The history of how this wonderful area developed and how it’s now preserved was very interesting. The lunch at Triad Seafood Cafe & market was great! The only thing a little misleading was the website says the boat tour to 10K islands is 90min and it was only 60min. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone not from this area.

Hi Carrie,
I appreciate the feedback and the many kids words about our tour. Anything less than a 5-star review is a failure on our part but the reason for the difference in the 10,000 islands boat tour, as explained over the phone, is the Everglades National Park’s facility was destroyed by the hurricane and we are hoping to get back there by December when they have temporary facilities brought in. Instead of the 42 passenger boat ride we are taking a 6-passenger, 60-minute boat ride was gets us to all the same places. We also include the historic Smallwood Store Museum in this package. I’m regret we did not live up to your expectations.

Six weeks ago, I paid $300 for myself, my wife, and our granddaughter to take the tour on Sunday June 19th. We drove 3 hours to Fort Myers and paid $200 for 2 nights in a hotel room so we could pick up our granddaughter the next morning at her apartment. At 7pm on Saturday evening the 18th of June our granddaughter called me to advise that her roommate had tested positive for covid at 5pm that evening. I immediately called the tour company and was told that because we were cancelling inside the 24-hour window there would not be a refund. I understand that this is a rule but if you would consider refunding part of our $300 I would appreciate it. Covid has the world in a very bad place. This was our first trip in over 2 years. PLEASE consider a refund. I can send you a copy of the hotel receipt to prove we were there. If you will not grant a partial refund, would you please "comp" us 3 tickets so we can enjoy the tour at a later date?

I reposted this question after having it appear under my name. I was personally thrilled with the whole thing and under the circumstances I don't see why the company wouldn't at least comp them. I'm interested and seeing how this pans out. I have family that haven't been and might be interested as well.

What about transportation back to the starting point once the tour is over because your car will be parked at the starting location?
We are going to be staying at the Diamondhead hotel in Fort Myers Beach and we want to do the Everglades day safari which is an Immokalee Florida… Can anyone give us information on the shuttle we were told about that will pick us up at our hotel and take us directly there and back… We are trying to figure out the cost and we are not finding information through googling

This tour is suitable for children of all ages. The airboat is powered by a chevy engine and an airplane propeller. We offer ear protection and children and their parents are seated towards the front of the boat. The airboat usually puts infants and toddlers to sleep.
