      Not professional
The business, boat and crew are NOT for serious sport fishing. For first timers, people wanna have fun in water and catch a BIG( pound or two) fish for the first time will have fun. Boats are very old but somehow maintained with crew just doing their job good enough to get gratuity. Now about fees, they would negotiate if you know how to. I was told $200, then they charged me $225+tax and %5 credit card fee. You can imagine how this place is run. It is not big numbers but just know the attitude before you book. Oh on top of that they charged me $5 on the dirt in front of the dock where another car was parked behind me and I got yelled asking to move it when we got back. Bottomline, wanna have fun with your kid or couple of friends, it is not bad. Just bargain before

Twice as many ppl as there should be
About half as many ppl on the boat would make it slightly more possible to avoid tangling other ppls line. Between untangling my own line and doing it for the folks on either side of me so that I'd have 6 inches of space to drop my line in. I didn't get much time to fish.

      Average at best
Fun trip but I was expecting better fishing equipment w the ability to catch huge fish. The set up was average at best. The crew was real nice.

      Could it get any worse
Definitely was not a great experience. I grew up fishing and understand that fish don’t bite. That’s not my issue. My issue is with customer service and safety. First to start, my wife and I were the first ones to arrive. While waiting we heard the captain talk crap about the other passengers as they were walking up and put her food away as if our upcoming departure ruined her lunch. To hear her (captain) talk about almost each person as they came up was red flag number one. The lady that took our reservation was great. The first mate was a nice guy but when it came to his attitude and instructions he acted like he didn’t want to be there or be bothered. He eventually struck up a decent 3 sentence conversation during the tour. My biggest complaint comes from the actual safety of the boat. The water was so choppy that everyone was “all over the place” I understand the ocean does whatever the oceans wants to do, but it made sense while out that, why all the other boats we docked. A few fish were caught but it seemed like 80 percent of the guest were more focused on trying to make sure they had their footing and not falling then actual fishing. Was super bummed because we were looking forward to it all weekend and it was a disappointment. The crew members, knowing how bad it was out there and little to no fish were caught in the morning, would have told us how rough and rugged it was going to be we wouldn’t have gone. Almost felt like this they cared more about the money than showing guest a great time. Just my personal experience we had on 6/2/24

🐠🐟 Fun times and lots of fish for this family! 🐟🐠
My family and I had an amazing time! I went with my husband and our nieces and nephews who are all under 12 years old. I knew we picked the right charter from the very start. Bobby, one the mates, was especially great with the kids and very patient with me! I was probably the least experienced person on the charter. We caught a good number of fish and got some instagram-worthy pictures! We had a blast and look forward to the next time we charter with this company!

Worse Experience Than I Could Have Imagined
Our experience on this charter today was shockingly terrible. Obviously they cannot control the weather and cannot control whether fish are biting. What they can control, however, is whether/when to take the boat out and when to bring it back in. The waves on the charter were huge and unrelenting. I am not a boat person so I won't estimate the size of the waves, but I (and others) had legitimate concerns we would capsize. The guy next to me called his wife and told her to "pray" for him. We had 42 people on our boat. I witnessed 10 vomiting and was told of at least 10 others doing the same. 3 of the 4 people in my party threw up. 3 of the 5 people sitting next to me outside the boat threw up. Also, no one was catching fish. The captain ordered one seasick guest inside the cabin outside to throw up over the railing. The guest said he was not moving (I wouldn't have either). The captain responded by yelling at the guest telling him he was not welcome back, and told the guest that the charter was low priced, the guest got what he paid for and should have expected this experience. Finally, the captain announced over the boat's intercom they were going to take a poll of how many guests wanted to head back. Based on what the crew told me, at least 30 wanted to head in. Despite this overwhelming majority, the crewmember said the "office" would not allow them to go back. It was clear both from the circumstances and the captain's announcements (emphasizing again and again they do not refund guests' money) this company's primary and exclusive concern is making money. After the crew's initial guest poll and following 15 more minutes spent 1) no fish and 2) more people retching over the side of the boat, they eventually returned to the dock. It was among the worst experiences of my life. I could not recommend this charter less enthusiastically. Opt for a more responsible company, even if it costs more. From other reviews, it appears that two days ago, this company hosted another group whose experience was seemingly identical to ours' - thus making their decision to take today's boat out that much more inexcusable.

      Terrible experience
We as tourists rely on the expertise of those who run the fishing charters. We were taken advantage of and all money lost when taken out this past Monday with 25 mph winds. The majority of the boat was seasick. All agreed to head in almost 2 hours early. Few people even fished because the conditions were so bad. They shouldn’t have even taken us out. It was simply to keep our money and is a greedy move that’s bad for business. I will Not refer anyone to this company for this reason. You have to book ahead and weather is unpredictable. As the business you have the ability to say sorry conditions aren’t favorable and provide refunds. They keep your money and you’re done. Terrible experience.

      Drifting away...
I took my 18 year old son and his 3 friends for the half day drift fishing. First off, the crew was not friendly at all getting onto the boat. A quick lesson on how to bait your own hook and he was gone the rest of the trip. The cup of bait he placed on the seat fell off, spilled on the deck, and he never attempted to clean it up. We fished in front of the Ft Lauderdale strip and while I didn't catch anything, our group (5) landed about seven small fish and one keeper. Everyone on the boat fished shoulder to shoulder off the same side of the boat bow to stern. The captain did stop by for a couple minutes but no other crew member stopped by us for the rest of the trip. I was embarrassed to have talked my son and his friends into wasting the afternoon on this trip. If you do take the chance and book Lady Pamela II check Groupon first. It would have been easier to swallow paying almost half price. But if you want to enjoy a sunny day and save your money, I would stay away from the drift fish trip.

The captain was very prejudice against my Hispanic friends before we even left the dock. He assumed they didn’t pay. Then while on the boat he was rude and kept trying to convince us to go back because someone was sick from partying the night before. We told him three times that we didn’t want to go back and he just kept asking until we said okay but that we want to go back slowly so we can still fish. Nope, he rolled in the poles and we were back in no time. He then told me that he needs a thirty percent tip for our trip, since when do you tell someone how much to tip? We would gladly tip the assistant because he at least tried to make it fun. When booking the trip they said it was kid friendly but there wasn’t anything for the kids to do. They layed around bored, the captain could of had the kids steer the boat or tell them fishing stories but he didn’t interact at all and was actually annoyed if anyone approached the captain area.
Later my friend tried speaking with the owner to let him know what was going on and all he said was, “didn’t you catch some fish? Yes? Then your good”. Wow, didn’t even want to hear any part of it. He also assumed we wanted our money back and that wasn’t our intention, we were only trying to let him know how unprofessional his employee was.
I highly recommend going to a different company and hopefully you will have a better experience than we did.

Captain David and Dylan were nothing short of phenomenal, especially for the rough weather we were given. These guys are experts of their territory and for not one second did I feel uncomfortable in such rough seas. Luckily we punched through and caught some tuna, mahi, and a huge wahoo ! Thanks guys definitely coming back for grouper season

This was actually a six hour trip that we paid over $1700.00 for and only got three hours. This experience was one of the worst ever. I am actually on vacation right now and am doing this two days after our experience. I just want everyone to know that Dave the owner of this company would barely even listen to my complaints (which were very many) starting from the captain then on to the owner himself. I will definitely be doing my review on yelp, Better Business Bureau not to mention Facebook and word-of-mouth. I don’t want anybody to go through what our family went through. First of all, captain Dave (at this time we had no clue who this man was) accused us of not paying. (Twice) No introduction, no welcome on my boat, absolutely nothing. It was Dominic who introduced himself as a mate. Captain Dave was very condescending to my adult children when they asked questions. (No one has ever done this before and of course there will be questions) and when I originally booked this trip I told the owner Dave I would have five toddlers with me and if they would have any interaction at all with fishing? He said they have a great crew that would show the children to some kind of child experience. This never happened and when I mentioned it to the captain from the very beginning he said he didn’t know what I was talking about. We learned from the get go not to talk to the captain. My son had seasickness and the captain kept asking me over and over if we could go back now. WHAT? (I thought they wouldn’t return to the shore for seasickness) When they first send you the contract it says that seasickness is not a medical emergency and that they will not go back (which I was fine with and so was the rest of my family) but it’s like this captain had somewhere else to be because he definitely didn’t want to be there with us. The only one that treated us in a decent manner was Dominic, he was excellent and he tried to do what he could for all of us (17 ppl) After several times of the captain asking me if we can go back I finally said fine we will go back as long as we can fish on the way back. It took us over an hour to get to our fishing location so I figured it would take just as long to get back. We were only at 4o’clock, (three hours into our excursion) at 4:13 he told Dominic to pull in all the lines! I looked at Dominic and said I thought he said we could fish all the way back? and he said, “he told me to pull the lines in”. If I had known he was going to do that I would’ve stayed out our other 3 hours! I then asked Dominic, so we’re done?? He said yes. The little ones were sad and I was furious. The rest of the family was disappointed because out of 17 people only six actually got to fish. The only time the captain was decent to any of us is when we got back because of course he wanted his tip (which he told us was typically 30% of the price of the excursion) I told Dominic that I was not happy and I was not leaving a tip until I talked to the owner. I texted Dave the owner and said “would you like to discuss the terrible experience we had on your boat before I write a review”? We then went back-and-forth and he seemed to think because we caught six tuna and “one big one” that we should be good. He also said that captain Dave told him half of our crew wanted to come back. NOT TRUE. While I was texting owner Dave, Captain Dave went up to my daughter and loudly said “oh no tip”?? in front of everyone that was there, (not just my family but the rest of the customers and crew ) threw his hands up in the air and started clapping. After me trying to tell the owner Dave of our experience and how we didn’t get half of what he said we would, (which was supposed to be a great experience and great memories for my children & grandchildren) he then said if I write this review he will have me in court in Florida. WOW. I told him fine because everything that I’m saying is true. Not once did he apologize for our experience but pretty much tried to put the blame on me for not going to the office when we were immediately told we didn’t pay (twice by captain Dave) The only time owner Dave decided to acknowledge the way we were treated was when the gentleman (who is a reputable business owner) that referred us contacted him and told him that this was not good business, which by then was too late for me. I thank God that the only six people that were able to fish were the little ones and had a good experience with Dominic. Yes my teenagers and adults were disappointed but at least the little ones had a bit of fun. This is the best review I can do in my honest opinion and If I’m not mistaken there will be more reviews from the other adults that were on the boat.

Had an amazing time with the crew of the "Lady Pamela II", they were professional, knew the area and were prepared for anything. We landed a 105 inch Hammerhead and would not have been able to pull it in without them. Amazing day of fishing with an incredibly experiences and knowledgeable crew. I'm looking forward to using them again in the near future.

The seas were rough that day but that didn't stop the captain and first mate from putting on an excellent trip for us. We were a large group and they worked hard to make sure each of us enjoyed the trip! Caught lots of fish to take home to eat and capped the day off with a 7' hammerhead.

Thank you very much for you kind words. Large groups are our speciality. In fact we are the only boat in the area that can comfortably take more than 6 people on one boat so we don't have to split up your party Thanks again for choosing us and we can't wait to see you out here again soon!
