Ranger Rob has been exploring and sharing southwest Florida for years. He is a Naturalist with an extensive background in wildlife management and husbandry. He works actively in the community trying to make the world a happier and safer place for all. Education is his passion and bring able to share this in the nature world on his tours is a dream come true.

We went out from the Pink Shell Marina for about 90 min. to 2 hours paddle around the bay. Saw some dolphins, lots of birds, and a lone Manatee with the best tour guide ever... Ranger Rob. Extremely relaxing and very private. Only saw one other person the entire time. Very affordable and exciting family adventure. Ranger Rob is unbelievably knowledgeable about seemingly everything you ask him. He lives out his passion and it is evident. Highly recommend this trip to anyone of all ages. - Jodi C0 contributionsGuided Kayak Tour with Ranger RobIf you are considering doing a kayak tour or ANY kind of nature tour of SW Florida, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Ranger Rob. Rob first took our family of 7 on a guided kayak tour in Aug of 2019. Our kids then were 18, 10, 7, 6 and 4 and they were pretty scared to go out into the ocean to look for manatees and dolphins. Ranger Rob was extremely kind and made each of the kids feel safe. He also took us fishing and helped us look for different sea creatures on the beach. He is very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does and we absolutely loved getting to know him and spending time with him during our trips. The kids learned so much about marine life and became so interested in what Ranger Rob had to teach them that he is the reason we have gone back to Ft Myers Beach every year since (sometimes more than once). We have been on at least 6 tours with Rob. Each one of my kids has learned something that they now carry with them and they all will now kayak and paddle board fearlessly on their own! My husband and I find Rob hilarious, as well. He's not just all info...he's great entertainment, too! lol You will not be disappointed in any time spent with Ranger Rob Howell.Written January 30, 2023

Amazing! We (my husband and 2 sons, ages 10 and 8) did a kayaking tour a few days ago and we loved every minute of it! Ranger Rob is the perfect guide. He completely personalized the tour, went at our speed (which at times was really thrown off by our rambunctious 10 year old paddling his own kayak) and answered every question thoroughly. He is SO good with kids, really knows his stuff (he's a zoologist with amazing experiences!), and so fun with the adults too! Oh and he also took lots of pictures for us-loved that, awesome to have those! Earlier tonight as we were getting ready to head back to MN when asked what his favorite part of our trip to FL was my 10 year old said this was it!

SPECTACULAR!! This is a fabulous tour for anyone with minimal kayaking experience or ability. Ranger Rob's outgoing personality and passion for all of nature made this an adventure we will definitely repeat. My grandson and I did a private "old florida tour". It was peaceful and calming. We especially appreciated the fact that it was a private, rather than a group encounter, which provided a lot of opportunities to ask questions specific to our interests. At the end of the trip, we bought some of Ranger Rob's stickers to let others know about this unique adventure. Others will find this to be a very educational and fun experience. Highly, highly recommend it for all ages and experience levels.

Range Rob's tour was one of the highlights of our trip! He gives personally designed tours to ensure he is meeting all of your wants and needs, while respecting the wildlife. We went on a two hour kayak tour called the Old Florida Tour and loved the peaceful river excursion and alligators we got to see. Rob was very knowledgeable of the surrounding wildlife and history of the area. We would definitely recommend this tour!

Ranger Rob is amazing! Our family of 5 had 3 first time kayakers, including an 8-year old and a 12-year old. We were a little nervous, but Ranger Rob was very patient and knew how to put each person at ease. He shared lots of fun facts about wildlife and took great care to make sure everyone was having fun. My granddaughter asked if we could do this again tomorrow. I’d call that a success! Thank you, Ranger Rob.

Truly an amazing experience on the Peace River yesterday with my parents and brother. It was everything we wanted and more, relaxing, beautiful, educational and fun! We learned about animals, trees, history of the area, about the gorillas and manatees that Ranger Rob used to take care of and even the boat that he’s building. So cool!
We saw lots of Red Peppercorn bushes along the river too - fun fact - they’re in the same family as cashews and mangos! Who knew?!? Didn’t get to see any alligators, but honestly, I don’t think I’m upset about that at all. haha.
If you’ve made it this far, look no further, Ranger Rob is the guy for all of your Florida adventures! We love you Ranger Rob and will be back for some fossil hunting soon ♡

I took my 9 year old granddaughter on a private tour. I cannot say enough about how Rob went the extra mile to make her feel comfortable. She is a little shy and he made her so comfortable. We were lucky enough to see several pods of Dolphins that day and she was one happy camper. I would recommend this trip to anyone wanting to see our wonderful coastline and learn more about the gulf and all the animals in and on its shores.

Ranger Rob was the perfect guide for our kayak trip. The tour was fun and educational! Ranger Rob was very accommodating to our group, especially our 3-year-old. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking for a memorable adventure led by a knowledgeable and experienced guide!

I highly recommend checking out Rob’s tours if you’re in the Fort Myers area! He did a great job making the tour exciting for our family with two kids (8 and 11) and no kayaking experience. We didn’t even see a ton of wildlife due to conditions, but had a great time! We did the Old Florida tour and loved the time away from busy spring break activities we also planned.

We needed a short trip & decided to do a guided nature walk with Ranger Rob because he is so knowledgeable about local wildlife, & so good with kids! We were not disappointed! As usual, he answered all of our questions & had so much more to offer. He even took some amazing pictures to share with us! We have known Rob for many years & he has become a family friend. Each year it has become a priority of ours to hunt him down & find some Florida adventure 😂😂 thank you Ranger Rob for always providing a wonderful experience for ALL age groups of our family!! 🤗🏝
