Great day on the water. Enjoyed the cruise through the heart of Ft Lauderdale and also the open ocean sailing was great. Captain Charlie kept us entertained w his good humor!

We had a fantastic, fun time with Captain Charlie! When we got out to an area where we could swim, Captain Charlie's "floaties" were a ton of fun. He took us to a raw bar for a late lunch, which was indeed delicious. We also loved it when the Captain cut off the power and put up the sails, and we settled down a bit for some serene, quiet time. I highly recommend a trip with Captain Charlie!!!

What a great day. Captain Charlie made sure the cruise was everything we hoped it to be. He paid attention to our wants and needs and ensured that a great day was had by all in our group. We went out on the Sailing Daffy with Captain Charlie on 2/17/2021. My husband had recently started sailing and wanted to get some tips from Captain Charlie. I was a little nervous about going out because I was worried I would get sick if the waves were big. Captain Charlie let me know from the very beginning that if I didn’t feel well we would go back. My husband got to drive the boat and I enjoyed the trip. It was a blast Captain Charlie is a laid back guy and it’s obvious he enjoys sailing and entertaining his guest We both had an excellent morning and would do it again. We got to meet his wife Cindy, a delightful lady. If you are considering a reasonable priced sailing adventure Captain Charlie should be your choice.

Our adventure with Captain Charlie started out on a bad note when he challenged us upon arrival that we didn’t confirm with him and he did not have any contact information for us. I politely pointed out that I confirmed with him exactly 1 week ago and we had several text exchanges. Our group of six found him immediately to be rude and disrespectful (for several comments I won’t go into). We made the most of a beautiful sunset cruise but although we were prepared to tip and use him again, neither will happen. We found Captain Charlie to be cantankerous and he really put a damper on our experience.

Just prior to being under “House Arrest” due to Covid 19, my friend Jackie and I spent a gloriously sunny March afternoon sailing with Captain Charlie, again! As I have said before, this retired Broward County Teacher loves living in Fort Lauderdale, and Captain Charlie and Daffy are my only option for sailing and boating our magnificent waterways! For those of you traveling to our beautiful city of Fort Lauderdale or as we say, “The Venice of the Americas,” the best way to observe nautical life here is to board the Daffy and let Captain Charlie charm you with his extraordinary sense of humor and vast knowledge of our city and it’s fame as the yachting capital of the world. We enjoyed every moment and learned new things—and we live here! When planning your vacation to Fort Lauderdale, place Sailing Daffy at the top of your list for a fabulous and luxurious water experience!

We had wonderful time sailing with Captain Charlie Knapp for four hours. The DAFFY sailboat was clean, pleasant, and very spacious for four of us. It was amazing experience sailing in the open sea. My husband has been enjoyed sailing in the lake for more than 30 years but hasn’t had much experience sailing in the ocean. My friend’s husband also was not exposed into sailing much. They both enjoyed controlling the big boat with Captain Charlie’s step by step instructions. The weather was very tricky and hard to predict but Captain Charlie adjusted his schedule to meet our situations. Captain Charlie is fun, cheerful, and sincere person to sail with. Thank you Captain Charlie for making our vacation exciting, unforgettable, and fun filled one! May the Lord bless you and your family!!!

I found Sailing Daffy in Groupon and then contacted Captain Charlie. From beginning to end this experience was five star. We has the perfect day. The boat is easy to get to. Everything is provided for comfort including bathroom, changing area, towels, seat cushions/floats, snorkel gear, shade, knowledge of area and humor. Grab a cooler, leave your cares behind. If you love to sail or you want to "sea" if you do, Sailing Daffy is for you. Would recommend for couples, families and friends up to 6 people.

We had a four hour tour with Captain Charlie and it was great!!! He is very funny and entertaining person and has a lot of stories to tell. The Daffy boat is spacious and clean. We sailed in the open ocean and it was amazing. The whole experience from start to finish was great. Definitely will come back again.

Captain Charlie is a great man. Perfect boat captain. He took time telling us all about the area we sailed thru. Asked what we wanted to do, and made sure that it happened. I was able to go swimming in the ocean for a while. My husband got to help raise and lower the sails. I even had a chance to sail the Daffy. We enjoyed our 20th Wedding Anniversary on the ocean, and Captain Charlie made sure it was perfect. I will definitely sail with him again if I go back to Fort Lauderdale. Don't say Cheese, say WIND!

Fabulous 4 hour private charter with Captain Charlie on Sailing Daffy. Very warm and welcoming - made us feel safe and right at home. Packed a picnic, brought along some cocktails and relaxed as we sailed along the river, intercostal and ocean. Highly recommend!! Very family friendly! Great customer service - very honest, reliable, timely, safe and knowledgeable. A MUST DO!!
