The whole thing took about 1.5 hours, perfect amount of time. Make sure to use sunscreen, it was extremely sunny. Overall we would recommend. He was very patient with us and once we got started he was by our side the whole time and made the experience great and informative. Our only disappointment (not his fault) is that we signed up for Manatee and Monkeys and sadly we saw neither. We did catch wonderful glimpses of some dolphins! Thanks again Spence for the wonderful time!Written August 20, 2024

- 676kristiew0 contributionsGreat way to learn about Florida nature and basic kayakingSuch a great time and super friendly folks! Saw lots of dolphins and the tour guide did a great job pointing out lots of history and interesting marine life info. It can be confusing finding the meeting spot (the booking app says meet on the shoreline, but we actually started at the storefront and drove to the shoreline), so consider calling Three Brothers Boards before your tour to make sure you knew where to go when you arrive.Written August 19, 2024

- O5219FDamyf0 contributionsCancelled Last Minute, Extremely UnprofessionalCancelled a tour in Sarasota that I had booked months earlier, about 4 hours before the tour. Said they had dock damage from Tropical Storm Debby, and blamed Viator for not 'informing them they had a booking." Viator does not operate this way, and did inform the tour operator about the booking. They knew they had damage from Debby for over a week, yet didnt bother to check whether they had bookings. They cancelled at the very last minute, and we were unable to book something else to do. Appears to be a very shoddy and disorganized business, I would stay away.Written August 13, 2024

We booked the trip for a 10 am slot. I had booked the wrong week so I called and switched to the for The following week. I confirmed it with a girl over the phone. Two days before I got an email stating that my payment was decking and was canceled. With inthe hour I called was told me they didn’t have me booked there was no record of my change and the only available time was now a 1-3 PM on that Friday. So I’ll change my plans and take the 1 o’clock. We arrived at 12:54 got sunscreen on and we’re by the kayaks and paddleboard by one it was a small group us four and two other people. Our guide was very helpful and very kind but did say that the tours earlier didn’t see any dolphins or sea life. We started our tour we went to a few different unpassable areas and started to head back. At hour and 25 minutes we were called to bring out kayaks back. Once out of my kayak I looked at my phone and saw it was 2:32
I called the office and asked how come our 2 hour tour to see dolphins manatee sea turtles which we saw none of no -sea life was less than an hour and a half. I was told that sometimes the current is faster or slower but that’s what it was.
Very disappointed in the fact I paid for two hours and I thought I was getting two hours worth of use the equipment especially since Our guide didn’t bring us to any areas to potentially see any sea life.

Spence was an awesome tour guide. Very knowledgeable about the topic and area. He was very personable and was very funny too. The boards are top notch quality and they give you a lesson on how to ride them. This company truly cares about their customers and the experience they have! Unfortunately we did not see any dolphins or manatees, but that’s nature’s doing not the company. Can’t hold that against them! Would 100% do it again although we didn’t see anything, it was still very worth it and had a great time! Group was small enough and guide wears a microphone so everyone can hear him. Thanks Spence!

A friend and I were looking to do something fun and new while on our vacation. This caught our attention and we decided to give it a shot. Thank goodness we did! Using their impressive paddle boards, we had a great time relaxing out on the water. The instructor slash tour guide, Spence, is skilled and quite passionate about his job and it was evident in the way he spoke while giving the tour. He is very knowledgeable about the local wildlife and nearby attractions, I sure learned a lot from him! The whole experience was laid back and relaxing, a perfect way to start the day!

This was a lot of fun and easier than I thought. I had never done it before (you don’t even have to stand up). The atmosphere is pretty laid back... people of all ages which was nice. I brought my dog who had also never done it. They were very welcoming of her! If you do bring a dog here are some things to know: the first thing they told me is that they are not dog trainers and won’t be able to give any help/advice on paddling with a dog. I was fine with that but good to know if you have a dog that won’t just jump on. Also, my dog kept falling/jumping off and swimming the entire time which made it difficult to steer and go forward. Definitely keep a leash on in case they try to swim away. I would highly recommend a life vest for your dog (or at least a harness) with a handle! My dog is a very experienced swimmer but I still had to grab her and pull her up onto the board about 25 times and not sure I would have been as successful without this handle. I’d suggest going in water shoes/flip flops and not barefoot because if you stop at the sand bar, some places are very rocky. I cut my foot pretty deep over there. Other than that it was a fun tour! Everything went as planned. Perfect amount of time! Unfortunately did not see any dolphins or manatee. Ryan was a calm and nice guide. He gave tips and taught little trivia about the town as we paddled. The best part is that he took pictures of everyone and sent them to us free of charge!

I went on the tour with my family this past Saturday. I went with my son, my sister and my niece. It was a great experience being out on the water paddle boarding, something I had never done before. Ryan was our tour guide. He was funny(especially with the dad jokes), and he was so knowledgeable about what we were seeing and the history of the buildings we were passing along the way. I definitely would go again with Ryan as our tour guide.

Ryan was an amazing guide. He was knowledgeable about how to maneuver a paddle board on a rather windy day and made sure no one was left behind. I was a first timer and never thought I’d be able to balance on a paddleboard especially with the wind. We saw a few dolphins and they swam fairly close to the boards. Such a cool experience! If you find out you are on a tour with Ryan, you will be blessed with unlimited dad jokes and all the info you want to know about the local sea life. If I could leave more than five stars, I would!

Totally disappointed. First they didn’t get us going til 50 min after scheduled time. When my husband and I got in the kayak, they seat straps were broken off so there was absolutely no support for your back. My back killed during the ride and after. The one paddle had the finish rubbing off and as your paddling, it’s scratching your hands. Supposedly you see a lot of ocean animals, well, sitting in the kayak you don’t see anything, the paddle board people did see a couple of turtles, but sitting kayak, you don’t. For $65, the guide is doing his own thing and talks intermittently, but you really can’t even hear him. The excursion is supposed to be 2 hrs and we were back in 1 and half hours… I just looked into a local place and to rent a kayak for 2 hrs is $28 less than half of that cost. I really feel like it was a total ripoff!

My wife and I have done the Three Brothers SUP tour three times now and enjoy it more each time. We brought her sister in law and her husband this time and they loved it as well. Spence did an awesome job showing us how to paddle board, taught us about the mammals and gave us local history facts. We saw some dolphins up close which was surreal. We had time to swim around and just hang at the sandbar. It was a small group which made it the best experience yet. Spence also took photos for us throughout the two hour tour. I highly recommend signing up if you’re traveling in the Daytona area.

We took the 8:30 tour with Ryan, and it was awesome! Before we got in the water he showed us how to hold the paddle and talked through the different maneuvers and techniques and why they work. Then, once we went down the water he showed us on the board. It was my first time paddle boarding and his tips basically made me a pro. 😉 He was so kind and took the time to teach the person in our group that was struggling to ensure they had a great experience too. Once we got going he was incredibly knowledgeable about the wildlife in the area, the city history, and basically all things that we asked. Lol He would stop and take pictures of everyone and then sent them all to us at the end, for free! If I could give him a 10 star rating I would in a heart beat. He truly made our expierence one to remember. I would absolutely recommend requesting his as your guide.

My family and I went on this tour last week. None of us had ever been paddle boarding before, but we all picked it up very easily and so did every person in the group. Ryan was our tour guide and he was fantastic! He was great about never leaving anyone behind and pointing out and telling all kinds of history and facts about different places we were seeing. He even had a bunch of dad jokes for us!! All the guys in the shop were very friendly and helpful as well. Even though we didn't get to see everything we hoped to see the tour was amazing and well worth going!!! I would highly recommend them for your tours. I loved it so much I now want my own paddle board!!!

Well, It is Florida, so I know there are alligators everywhere. Yet I see people in the pics in the water. Plus, if a gator wanted aboard a paddleboard, he would come aboard so....?

The tours are in the Halifax River. It is saltwater. In my 68 years, I have never seen or even heard of any gators in this area. As far as it goes for sharks, the same thing applies. Most shark "attacks" occur in the Ponce Inlet when surfers pass through a school of bait fish or fall on the shark. Go enjoy yourself!

I don't know. However, summer weather changes rapidly. Lightening can be an issue in front of a storm, i.e. a bolt out of the blue. Check with the tour staff when making your reservations.
