- Kimberly D0 contributions2 Months Later - Still Best Part of Our TripI cannot recommend Captain Michael enough for his phenomenal service and expertise on our clear-bottom bioluminescent kayaking tour. His deep knowledge of the biodiversity of the area made the experience incredibly educational and awe-inspiring. From the moment we set out, it was clear we were in the hands of a true professional who knows the waters well. What made the tour truly magical was the breathtaking sight of the bioluminescent organisms lighting up beneath us. It felt like we were paddling through a living galaxy. Captain Michael’s detailed explanations about the ecosystems and wildlife added so much to the experience. Ask him about the black leaf mangrove! 😉 It was not only refreshing for the soul but also a rare opportunity to be immersed in the beauty of nature. After touring Orlando’s “usual” sites at a pretty intense pace, this experience felt like a recharge for us. The peace and tranquility of being part of nature was exactly what we needed. When we return to Orlando, we will be doing things differently—exploring opportunities and tours that highlight Florida’s natural settings, not its concrete ones. Captain Michael’s tour helped us reflect on what we really want to connect with: our amazing planet. I highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to reconnect with nature and experience something truly unforgettable! Details that were in our favour that may be hard to ensure: we were a few days shy of a new moon, the winds were so calm, the mosquitoes were nonexistent but we are from Canada where our national bird is not only the Canada Goose but also the mosquito - so maybe we aren’t as bothered by them as others. With that said - we were doused in Backwoods Deet - so that helped. We also, by a stroke of luck, were the only group with Captain Michael so that made it really lovely. I would have him consider private tours for a fee - it would be totally worth it. Our photos came out beautifully - in bursts and spurts. It was incredibly tempting to try to ‘get the perfect photo’ so I had to remind myself to put down the camera and just be present - that’s where being mindful of your surroundings makes the extraordinary happen. Truly one of the most magical experiences with my family and we are fortunate to have travelled extensively. Thank you Captain Michael - we do hope to see you again. Aloha!Written October 5, 2024
- Anonymous89010 contributionsGreat experience!Noah and Heather were fantastic guides! We saw manatees, birds, dolphins, and many jumping fish. It was a slightly windy day but Noah did a wonderful job navigating us. We enjoyed our time and would recommend!Written October 4, 2024
- JenDave440 contributionsWorth the time!!Our family of 4 girls had an amazing experience on our kayak tour! Our guide, Suzi, was incredibly knowledgeable, sharing fascinating insights about the local wildlife, ecosystems, and history throughout the trip. We appreciated how she took the time to explain everything clearly, without ever making any of us feel rushed or pressured as the kids especially enjoyed playing with the Comb Jellies. She ensured everyone felt comfortable in asking questions, and her calm demeanor made the entire experience so enjoyable. I highly recommend this if you’re considering it. It was a fun adventure!Written October 3, 2024
- ryanmichael_950 contributionsLoved it!James our guide was excellent. The experience was even better than I expected. Going through the mangrove tunnels was the best. I wouldn’t hesitate to do it again!Written October 3, 2024
- 635clarey0 contributionsVery worthwhile Kayak tourLoved the sunset mangrove kayaking tour with Noah. Was a lovely personal experience as only the two of us with Noah. He was very informative and we learned lots of new things about the mangrove trees themselves as well as the wildlife that live in and around them. Was lucky to see amongst other things... dolphin, osprey immediately above us on a tree, a mangrove heron (green?) and mangrove crabs which Noah managed to hold one to show us the detail. The peace and tranquility in the heart of the mangrove trail was just lovely. The trip ended with a lovely sunset and Noah fishing out some comb jellies to show us their beautiful colours through the light. We even got to hold them in our hands which isn't something I'd have normally done but with Noah's assurance it was safe to do so we went for it. Thanks for the very enjoyable trip NoahWritten October 3, 2024
- Paradise153404255580 contributionsexcellent - so peacefulOur trip was beautiful - perfect weather, perfect guide, perfect kayaks! Our guide was Noah and he was excellent - easy to talk to, knowledgeable about the area and gave us peace and quiet to be in the moment as well. He took photos of our trip so we didn't need to have our phones out and he stayed beyond our 2 hours to show us the comb jellies when we got back to shore. The mangroves were very interesting and we got to go through so many tunnels (so cool) and meet the local wildlife. Thankyou.Written October 3, 2024
- 411jayb0 contributionsSunset tour epicness with DaveWe took A sunset tour through the mangrove tunnels with Dave. Even though we were the only three on that tour he made a point to make sure we had the best experience possible. Very entertaining as well as informative 5* def recommend!Written October 1, 2024
- HelpMeRh0nda4110 contributionsFamily FunFriendly office staff for scheduling then Rescheduling because of Helene was easy. We had a great evening with Noah as our guide. Noah was thorough with instructions and knowledgeable about the bay, marine life, and the area. We collected an entire jar of marine life and got some laughs at the mullet fish jumping away from Noah’s light. Our six year old and teenagers said the kayaking tour was one of their favorite vacation memories. Thank you!Written September 30, 2024
- 994destineb0 contributionsAmazing and so beautiful!Noah was great! He was really laid back, patient, and knew alot of information , of course! It was a great tour definitely worth it! Thanks againWritten September 29, 2024
- Larneofficial0 contributionsSuper great couple tour!I went with my fiance and we got a double kayak. The tour was pretty relaxed and beginner friendly with lots of good information and experience from the guide. Small group and easy pacing. - W6695RWmattheww0 contributionsWow! What fun! This was an amazing adventure! When we booked the tour, we knew it was going to be great, and we were blown away. First, our tour guides were superb. Susie and Jeff took us through the open waters and into the mangrove tunnels at sunset and under the stars, explaining what was happening around us and helping us find the many exciting discoveries. It would be hard to overstate just how great they were. The exploration of the Thousand Island estuary was thrilling and interesting. It is a very diverse environment, and we saw many different creatures in their own environment and during their prime time. The sunset was beautiful, and the stars were spectacular! I recommend this tour, and if possible request Susie and Jeff. They made the trip for us!Written September 22, 2024
- carriewP1201VZ0 contributionsGreat experienceWe enjoyed our time kayaking with Chris, our tour guide. He was knowledgeable about the surrounding area and he was able to find dolphins for us to view. My daughter (34) and I (75) were the only two on this trip and it was great. We are beginners so Chris was really patient with us and we had a lot of laughs. He took us through mangrove canopies, which was an experience and the trip was slow and relaxing. Being the three of us, we could take our time. Going in Sept was really great as it is a slow time but still warm enough to enjoy kayaking.Written September 20, 2024
- AngeChz870 contributionsIncredible! Our tour guide was awesome, I forgot his name but he was kind and super knowledgeable! I took my 5 year old son and it was the perfect environment for him. The kayaks were in great condition and loan you a dry bag in case you don’t bring your own. The tour through the mangrove tunnels in was incredible! We got caught in massive rain on our way back but it made the experience that much more exciting, would definitely recommend and do this again.Written September 17, 2024

This was my first time going Kayaking, I took a leap of faith and did the night option with Dustin and wasn't disappointed at all. Dustin was very inviting and taught me a lot about the bioluminescence lights, local wildlife, and trees. I would highly recommend the night option if you're looking to try something different. The trip was peaceful, and I got to try something new!

Great experience, friendly staff, good equipment. Family of 6, we had 3 tandem kayaks. We had experience with canoeing in the past, so our kids were totally fine and it wasn't hard at all - although some other people in the group we went out in struggled at first figuring out steering. Wove our way through the mangrove tunnels and also got some nice sunset views on the wider parts of the river. Our friendly guide, Cameron, was informative and helpful. They also take pictures so you don't have to, although we still took our cameras because they provide free waterproof dry bags and phone cases. Saw a couple dolphins on our way out and our way in, as well as many birds. We want to come back again - next time in the spring/summer for the bioluminescence tour.

This was a fabulous kayaking experience, suitable for any skill level. Our two guides were awesome and educated us about the mangrove area. While we did not see a manatee on our tour. we did see multiple dolphins and other wildlife. It was a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this company for anyone willing to take a paddle in hand.

One of the best kayak tour of my life. Very scenic, informative and very well guided tour. Booking of the tour was very simple. All the questions were answered very politely. Nathan, the guide, is the best. Provided all the details of history, environment, marine life and the mapping of the lagoons. Guided, assisted and toured through various tunnels and toured us close to dolphin. Took very scenic photos and videos of sunset while kayaking. Great, memorable and unique lifetime experience.

Such an awesome experience. Must do for anyone wanting to just go out on the water without getting too wet. James, our tour guide was a very personable, fun person to have a conversation with and seems very knowledgeable about the wildlife. 10/10 would do again!

We were a group of 9 women ages 35-70, and we all had a wonderful time! Ian, our guide was amazing. We never felt rushed, and he pointed out so many things along the way. It was definitely a "bucket list" tour, paddling through the mangrove tunnels. I would definitely take another tour with Cocoa Kayaking again!

My friends and I did the 4:30 sunset kayak tour with Susie on Sunday, and it was awesome! We didn't have to worry about phones because Susie took a bunch of awesome photos of us and the great wildlife we saw (including dolphins and pelicans). Our group was full of longtime friends, and Susie definitely felt like part of the gang by the end of it. It was definitely a highlight of our trip.

Had an amazing sunset tour through the mangrove tunnels. Our guide Ian was incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and keen to share his love of the area with us. Dolphin in the distance, pelicans catching dinner, and some unbelievable scenery. Receiving photos that Ian had taken during the trip was the icing on the cake. Great experience from start to finish with Cocoa Kayaking! Highly recommended!
