Loose fitting clothing and flat soft soled shoes are best, no heels or flip flops, you may go barefoot onboard.

- 1Once you book your tickets, check your email for instructions to ensure a carefree visit with us. Meet at Clearwater Beach Municipal Marina. Check in 45 minutes prior to your scheduled departure at our ticket booth to receive your boarding pass(s). We pre board all passengers for a safety talk and then throw the lines off exactly at departure time! As we motor out of the Marina our First Mate will work on raising our sails. We then navigate Clearwater Pass between the barrier islands of Sand Key and Clearwater Beach to head offshore :) Once outside of the Clearwater Pass the Captain will shut down the engine and we will be completely under sail power. It is a unique and beautiful perspective of Clearwater Beach offshore. You may even catch a glimpse of Bottlenose Dolphins feeding or at play in the wake of our Schooner!

Read Captain Mike's bio on their website for his back story, as this is a specially built schooner. We motored out of the marina and once past the bridge, let the sails fly! Fortunately, it was very windy so we got a true sailing experience that was a highlight of our Florida vacation. Roaming the ship is highly encuraged, and they enjoyed all of our questions and we enjoyed their stories very much. There were only 8 of us on our sail, 3 of whom were returning guests and had already booked again for when another family member came to town! Cannot reccomend this enough and will definitely go again whenever in the area. Please remember to tip, they earn it! And account for time to park...took us 30 minutes. Although the weather can be less ideal for sailing in December they were open to targeting a specific date which was meaningful for us. Planning with them you could tell they really cared to make this a meaningful experience for us. On the day of we were welcomed like family at the dock and aboard the boat. Captain Mark and the deckhand Cory were a great crew. They were friendly and had great stories to share. During the scattering they provided flowers and had a great process for us to use. We brought our own wine and beer and the views were stunning. Mark the captain and Cory his Mate were very friendly. This schooner adventure was fantastic! The ship left early, which gave us more than the 2 hours for touring. The captain/owner and crew were friendly, worked very hard and were helpful to the passengers (getting additional cups for beverages, instructions on using the facilities, showing two child passengers how to use directional equipment). The schooner was immaculately clean and well maintained. The captain was skilled at avoiding other crazy (potentially drunk) boaters who came close to crashing into the schooner. We saw dolphins and lots of sea birds. I can't recommend this enough, especially for the reasonable online booking price of $41 (plus a well deserved tip to the crew). We will be back next winter and will be sure to do this again.

Highly recommend very affordable for our family
My father passed away this summer and didn’t leave any plans for a burial to our family other than a cremation. I thought about various ideas to remember his legacy for my side of the family. I thought a burial at seas seemed very fitting for a man who loved boating, fish, and serving in the Auxiliary Coast Guard. I found Schooner Clearwater that I chartered to assist me with a burial at sea. I worked with MaryEllen who helped me with the planning. I tell you it could not have been a more beautiful experience. It was more than I had expected. I had no experience planning dignified burial at sea let alone planning a sailing charter. It turns out the remberence was perfect. They helped me to get the supplies I needed and with laying out the details in a itenary that I could share with each of my guests. The Schooner has 3 masts, is 50 ft, and 35 tons with more than enough room for us to move around the decks. The ship was run by Captain Mark, 1st Mate Zack, and Mary Ellen. We found immediate friends in their company as they took us on celebration of my father’s legacy.

Afternoon cruise today was wonderful. Weather was perfect, sunny with a strong breeze. The 50 foot Schooner is perfectly setup, designed specifically for group day sailing. Captain Mark and 1st mate Cory are very knowledgeable sailors, they were both fantastic, and made the trip so much more enjoyable. They made us feel completely safe and right at home. Our family had a mix of seasoned sailors and 1st Timers. Everyone had a wonderful time. Don’t miss this exceptional tourist attraction. Note that you cannot book the sunset sail on any 3rd party marketing site, you need to go to Schooner Clearwater website to book a Sunset Cruise.

From the ease of booking with Maryellen, to the beauty of the boat, the professionalism and capability of Captain Mark and Zach, we could not be happier with our experience with Schooner Clearwater. The boat was impeccable. Captain Mark and Zach have friendly, easygoing personalities which made the trip fun, relaxing and interesting. Our two families (parents and teens) thoroughly enjoyed an afternoon sail in beautiful weather. Highly recommend!

We visited Clearwater Beach in March and planned to take a boat ride to see dolphins. Lucky for us, all the dolphin trips were full so we booked Schooner Clearwater and were so happy we did. Captain Mark was very friendly and answered lots of questions. The day was perfect for sailing and we even saw some dolphins. Thanks Captain Mark & Kyle for a wonderful afternoon out on the water!

Outstanding experience from scheduling information over the phone with Maryellen, with an easy informative check in with Captain Mark, ie "Capt. Ron", and the experienced, attentive deck hands, you could not ask for a more user friendly, relaxing, and fun experience. Florida is water, sun, and fun and this 2 hour pleasure cruise will not disappoint. The weather cooperated with a beautiful, pleasant, sunny, day. The breeze was perfect for sailing. 15 to 18 guest sailors who were all up for an adventure were all very respective of each other and the crew. This was not a dolphin cruise per say but the two young children, turned out to be excellent dolphin spotters. What a bonus. There were many sightings of dolphins and lots of excitement and fun when preparing to come about!!!! Don't spill those drinks!!!! The deck hands were very good about assisting the passengers walking to the bow for views and photos especially when heeling over. Very clean and well maintained boat. On a busy Sunday, parking was very easy too. Just a nice day for a sail.

The sunset cruise last night was amazing; We have sailed many different ships and Schooner was one of the best sailing experiences we have had. Captain Mark was entertaining and first mate Corey was very accommodating as we sailed into the Gulf of Mexico. Highly recommend this excursion to anyone who enjoys the wind, water, sea, and the calmness of listening to the water.

Capt. Mark and First Mate Zack added a wonderful Christmas Eve memory to our 2019 holiday itinerary. Plus Maryellen's decorating added sparkle to the Schooner Clearwater. Mercurial weather inhibited an ocean voyage, however the Captain set sail on the ICW. Fantastic hospitality, superb service, easy conversation, uncrowded comfortable setting, chill environment, quality time. Wish we lived closer to sail again with this crew. Definitely highly recommend! FYI, the Bait Shop's Drunken Shrimp meal referral was truly angel made. Much appreciated ;)

Captain Mark made me feel welcome from making reservation to boarding schooner & all during sail. Sunset was beautiful. You can bring your own beverages & they will be put into bins of ice. Sparkling water is provided. Worth the money for a relaxing evening. Thank you Mark & Zach.

We went sailing on Schooner Clearwater today. Mostly sunny and quite windy. We love sailing and felt perfectly safe on board with Captain Mark and First Mate Zach as the boat flew across the water. Really exhilarating and fun! The boat itself is beautiful - well maintained, clean, and comfortable. We had only a small group of six plus crew so had plenty of room to spread out. As for Covid protocol, we and crew wore masks until we got on board and out on the water. Boat had been sanitized before we got on and I know they are taking smaller groups than they normally would. We all felt comfortable unmasking out on the water. It was a wonderful afternoon, a much needed 2 hours of fun and normalcy. We sailed with them twice last year and hope to go out again before we head for home. We highly recommend the Schooner Clearwater!
