I had a long layover in Lima between flights and this was the perfect way to spend 6+ hours experiencing some of what Lima has to offer. I was met at the airport just outside the exit doors and escorted to the vehicle which was rather new and comfortable. My guide spoke excellent English and shared many interesting and relevant facts about the history of Lima. There was a driver who always had the car waiting for us. We visited the main city squares, wandered through the streets to see some daily life, I was given a tour of the Franciscan church and the catacombs (creepy and may not be for everyone, but very interesting,) and we then headed down to Miraflores for a view of the shore and a different aspect of the city. I invited my guide to join my for a delicious ceviche lunch at a restaurant that he recommended and we had a chance to discuss Peruvian life and culture. Overall, it was a terrific opportunity to see the city, have a great meal, learn from a local (isn't that why we travel anyway?) and pass some of the time before being returned to the airport for my onward flight. The only downside is that traffic in Lima is unbearable, but the driver was skillful and did his best to make his way while keeping us on schedule. I would highly recommend this family owned company and their day tour.

Everything was excellent! The guide tour was on time to pick us at the airport. The car was clean. We visited all the places indicated on the program. The only bad side was the traffic, but it is better than stay at the airport (9 hrs)

Perfect for a long layover. Ours was actually 13hrs so this was a perfect way to see the city and kill time. Can bring all your bags with you and store on the bus, which was perfect. Very attentive through WhatsApp. Our guide was very nice and we enjoyed seeing the catacombs!

Can't say enough good things about this tour. We had a 13-hour layover in Lima, and this tour made the time fly by. Pick up at the airport was good, our driver was great, and our tour guide was not only extremely knowledgeable about Lima--sharing all kinds of historical and cultural information--he also listened to us and gauged our multiple activities with our energy level, truly an extraordinary guide! I feel like we really got to see Lima and know the history of the place in a very short time.

The tour by Ishmael was fantastic. He was very knowledgable and helpful. The tour was structured to meet our requirements. Great way to spend a day in Lima. Highly recommended.

My friend and I really enjoyed this tour. We had about 12 hours from our flight landing in Lima (from Cusco) and before our international flight back to the USA. We wanted to get a taste of historic Lima and that is just what we got. Our guide Ismail was full of facts about Lima, both history, culture, economy, and also shared a bit about his personal life and family (his ancestors were from India, just like mine!). We ate lunch at a lovely restaurant in downtown and then checked out the coast at the lovely Miraflores area of the city. Lima Discover made it easy by picking us up at the airport and then dropping us back and we got to keep our suitcases in teh trunk of of the car. Highly recommended for those with a long transit time in Lima!

We had a great time! Jose and Wilton were friendly and knowledgeable. They brought us all over Lima and got us back to the airport with plenty of time to make our flight, even with the crazy traffic. We learned a lot about the history of Lima. Wonderful, and soo much better than sitting at the airport.

We both thoroughly enjoyed the two tours provided by Lima Discover.  Ismail was a great guide and Carlos an excellent driver. They were both very friendly, on time and knowledgeable.  We were extremely happy with the tours and what we saw and will use again.

We had two tours. A city tour and a whole day tour to Ballestras islands and Huacachina. Ishmael was an excellent guide and Carlos the driver was very good too. Ishmael was very knowledgeable and helpful. We had two great days. He also made a special trip to find the Paddington Bear statue for us so we could take photos!

Ismael was our guide and Jaime the driver who is also a guide. They both had a lot of information to pass along, extremely polite, very thoughtful, and flexible. We had a 15 hour layover and it was the best tour! They met us at the airport and instead of going back after the tour, they took us to a delicious seafood restaurant in Miraflores and we took an Uber back to the airport. We saw the historic city of Lima, saw it’s beautiful seaside suburb, and then flew home to the US. Highly recommend!

Fantastic tour of Lima! We had a 14hr layover in Lima so added a few extra hours to see the Incan ruins at Huaca Pucllana and they were spectacular. We loved our tour guide, Julia, and our driver, Wilton - both extremely informative and patient with all of our questions. They really went above and beyond to personalize the tour for us. We felt safe and comfortable the entire time and saw so many beautiful and interesting things. The car was very nice and had a/c which was especially great after all the hot sunshine. Highly recommend!!!

This was a great way to see the highlights of Lima. We were met inside the airport. Saul was our tour guide and Arturo was our driver. We didn’t need to worry about our belongings as Arturo stayed with the car as we toured the different areas. Seeing the catacombs was the most unexpected and unusual part of the trip. Stopping for food as needed was great. We were tired from an early morning flight in so we appreciated the ease of it all. Saul had lots of information to share with us and we were transported back to the airport 5.5 hours after arrival. Other side notes: customs and immigration was quick and easy, as was re- entering the airport. But the airport is a zoo, so give yourself ample time on your way back in. We actually had a 12 hour layover so if I did again I would probably would have asked the guys to leave us in Miraflores/ Locomar to have dinner somewhere nice and catch a taxi back to the airport later.

I took a Lima City Tour from the airport since I had a long layover in Lima Peru. Booking with Discover Tours website was easy. They respond 24x7. I was surprised to receive response late night when I asked questions on their website late night. This was great. Communication is prompt and great. Pickup and drop off at airport was punctual. The guide is bilingual and speaks English well. He is very knowledgeable about history of Lima. The car was very comfortable and I also took a bag with us. Very reliable and honest people. Overall great experience. If you need Tour or Guide or even translator in Lima. Then Discover Tours are the people.

We had a long layover in the Lima airport and decided to try to get a flavor of Lima. The operator told us exactly where they would meet us and made it very easy. We were able to keep our luggage in the trunk of the car while we toured. Our car was new and clean and our driver was very professional…I would never survive driving there! We had a six hour tour, but because of the day and time of our visit, if felt like half of our time was spent in the car. The traffic was terrible! I thought our guide could have asked us about our interests and made the tour a bit more personal, but he didn’t ask if we wanted to eat or shop or see a particular site. However, he did hit all the highlights mentioned in the tour description except for the chocolate museum. This tour is definitely better than sitting for 10 hours in the airport and we now have a bit of an introduction to Lima.

City tour of Lima from airport was excellent. We had a long layover so we scheduled this trip at short notice. The driver Carlos was careful and the car was clean and comfortable. Our guide Ismael was very friendly and courteous, and very knowledgeable about the history and local culture and customs. He kept us engaged throughout the tour. There never was a dull moment. We had a wonderful time.
