Bill is a great tour guide. His love for and knowledge of the Mystic sea port and surrounding area is above par. We learned so much and had a vivid picture of history from the very beginning, and he paired the history of the area with great local insights that we would not have noticed. The time spent was definitely worth it. Just wear good shoes and be prepared to walk and have an interesting time with an engaging individual.

My husband and I greatly enjoyed Bill's tour of downtown Mystic. His personable manner and his knowledge of the area made our experience seem less like a tour & more like being shown around town by a friend who happened to have an avid interest in history ! The inclusion of a "slice of heaven" from Mystic Pizza was a nice touch and just one of many things that made this tour one I would highly recommend.

Bill's tour is the perfect way to get acclimated to Mystic. Bill has deep knowledge of the area and communicates so clearly that it made the rest of our trip that much better knowing where to apply our time. Bill's handmade maps are also excellent to provide not just logistics, but history. Highly recommend this tour!

Don't just wander around Mystic asking "Why this is like this?" or "What is the history behind that?"... Take a two-hour tour with Bill and get an excellent history lesson on the people, places, stories, and meaning behind Mystic's past. It was hot the afternoon we toured with him so he did part of the tour by car - a much appreciated adjustment by Bill. He is a great storyteller who really knows his stuff about Mystic, and he is entertaining as well. The two hours will fly by and you will really KNOW Mystic when it is over!

TripAdvisor sent me this question and I’m not the owner of the company which I would suggest you contact but I’ll try and answer it.
I don’t think you would have any problems with a group of 8. When I did the tour there were 5 in our group.
I enjoyed the tour very much and will do it again if I ever get back to Mystic. Lovely town.
Hi, i would like to book a private tour for my boss and 3 of his friends for either the 30th or 31st of August (this weekend)

I do not know. They are good at responding to questions.
How much does a private tour cost?
Sorry for the late response! Private tours are $139 for the 2-hour walking tour (up to 6 people), and $499 for the 3 hour food tours (up to 6 people). Full details are visible at Mystic Revealed.
Three of us will be at Mystic Seaport on Saturday, July 28. Can a private tour be arranged?
Hi There!, My tour is throughout the historic sights of the Mystic Historic District, we give an overview of the Seaport Museum, but we do not go in the museum itself. peek at full description. Yes I could do Saturday if you are interested.
