Personable, knowledgeable, passionate and full of energy….with true leadership qualities…we liked him so much, we requested him for our ATV adventure next week! Fly Fishing
Went with Sage for a walk/wade fishing in Sept 2023 and was impressed how our guide Adam worked with my son and I who basically started fly fishing. Because of this, booked our trip this Sept with them. Even better, Adam was our guide again. He does a great job at showing you the techniques and has great patience for beginners. Highly recommend them.

        Great group rafting experience
Highly recommend Sage! Compared to other tour companies I've worked with, Sage is one of the easiest. We had an excellent rafting experience with our group of ten people, with an age range of 7-72. James was very helpful with the booking, answered all my questions, and got us on the right rafting tour. On the day of the rafting, Colton got us all set up, answered even more questions, and we went out on the river. Some of our group had never been rafting before, but Colton put everyone at ease. He kept us all safe and laughing. We all had a fantastic time and are all planning to try one of the winter excursions and go rafting again next summer.

A Ton of Fun with Sage in the Colorado River
What a great experience. First off, Kudos to all the employees who just absolutely love what they do and make you feel like one of the family from pickup to drop off. A lot of first-time rafters and Juan, our guide, took care of all of us. Clear instructions were given before the trip and followed during. The first part of the trip is class 3, and forget being nervous, you go right into it, and you have so much fun. The rest of the trip is class 2 and 1 and becomes a beautiful scenic tour of canyons, mountains, and some wildlife. There is a stop for some swimming with younger folks taking cannon balls off the front of the raft. The trip on the river is a good two hours. We had a great time and highly recommend the adventure.

        Family fun on the Shoshone!
This was a great family time! Andy was an excellent guide. We did the Shoshone class III rapids. Expect 20 minutes of rapids at the start followed by 1.5 hours of relaxed floating with a couple opportunities to swim. The staff, facility and shuttles are much nicer, in comparison to other places we’ve visited in CO.

        Best River Trip Experience
Fantastic company and excellent guide (Lizzie). Easy to register, great trip and timing. So much better than River Runners, which irresponsibly took us out a couple years ago the day after someone died on the Arkansas from high water.

        Fishing with Sage
We did a half-day fly fishing excursion with Sage. We really liked our guides, super kind and helpful who tried diligently to put us on fish. Unfortunately, we did not have a very productive morning catching fish, but I do not blame them for that. The three star rating is that all the many beautiful sections of Eagle River, The place where we were fishing was directly next to a large construction site. So we heard and smelled the trucks and construction during the entire fishing trip. It was not a pleasant or idyllic location.

        Great rafting trip!
We had an awesome rafting trip with Sage through gorgeous Glenwood Canyon! They were recommended by the concierge at the Grand Hyatt in Vail where we stayed. The entire experience was tops! We rode with Connor and he was super knowledgeable and fun to be around! The facilities include snacks, ice cream, drinks and souvenirs. And clean restrooms to change when you come off the river. Will definitely book another experience with Sage!

My husband and I went on the Class 3 Shoshone Rafting Tour through Glenwood Canyon. My husband had never rafted before, and I only had when I was 10, so I consider us beginners. We also had several groups with kids on this trip. All the guides were so helpful and knowledgeable. Before you even get on the bus, they talk you through what to expect, practice rowing, and answer any questions.
Due to the construction on I-70, we were able to actually see the rapids we’d be rafting before getting on the river (we had to turn around because the exits were only eastbound, and we were headed west). Once we were in the river, the guides pull you off into an eddy and you practice rowing again in the water. We did this for 5-10 minutes, so we were really comfortable by the time we got going. Our guide, Jackson, had us practice 2 different ways so we could feel the difference between using your whole body to row vs just your arms. Super helpful.
Once we were ready, we took off into the rapids. For this tour, the Class 3 rapids are for the first 20ish minutes, and then it’s all class 1 or 2; you’re floating, basically, and you get to enjoy the sites of the canyon!
The rapids are so much fun! Our guide was awesome at speaking clearly when we needed to row, and it made the experience so enjoyable! Once the rapids slowed down, we were able to soak it all in, swim, and chat.

You won’t be bummed about if you book with these guys. So fun, funny, and personable. Awesome!

Enjoyed time with family in the winter beauty of late December, with access to rugged terrain, aspen groves, frontier buildings and endless vistas. Austin was a friendly and knowledgeable guide who gave us clear operating instructions and led us through the back woods trails very safely and comfortably. The tour lasted over two hours and was a great value.

This is a great snowmobile tour. The team is super professional and pays attention to details. They sent you plenty of confirmations and reminders, call you if you leave a note and make sure you are comfortable with your booking. Once there, everything is well organized and moves perfectly. Our tour guide Adam was professional, attentive, kind, knowledgeable and made our tour really enjoyable. He make sure everyone was following, and knew a lot about the area. I would highly recommend this tour. The location is beautiful and the views are amazing. We did their regular tours but they have a performance tours for those who are looking for something more high speed.

First off, the whole team is top notch. We had a mix up with a booking with our resort concierge. Long story short, Sage made sure they took care of my wife and and I. Our guide was Nate who was excellent. We were able to get to a few scenic overlooks that would take anyone's breath away. I've never been on a snowmobile before but just listened to the safety/training sessions and got comfortable within the first 10 minutes of the tour. I do recommend paying particular attention during the training session, especially in regards to how to handle the machine when it's running, especially if you are new to the machines. They have everything you need including ski suits , helmet, goggles etc. I do believe they have a small fee for goggle rental. It gets really cold so I recommend a neck gator and the warmest gloves you own and warm boots. The ride itself took us through several types of terrain including a high overlook, a trail through trees. We even took a few laps around the race track. Great folks, great machines, spectacular views. Worth every penny. I can't wait to see the photos my wife took. If you have any interest in going snowmobiling, contact Sage. You won't be disappointed.

We had the opportunity to enjoy Sage's Snowmobile Adventure Tour on 1/22/21. In a word, FANTASTIC! The online purchase process was seamless. Dave called the next day to make sure we had what we needed. Confirmation email detailed the particulars regarding what to wear, what time to arrive, etc. And most important, WHERE to meet as it is a private mountain so not exactly someplace your standard app is going to find easily...providing specific GPS coordinates made that easy.

Checkin process was quick and efficient. Trish was our guide and she got us fitted for helmets and answered any questions we had. Her walkthrough of the individual sleds was thorough, interesting and entertaining. Then off we went. Single file through an amazing landscape. She adjusted the tour to our requirements. That is she was prepared to drive slowly if that's what we needed, but she saw the confidence in the 3 sleds behind her and slowly picked up the pace. So we ended up driving faster than we thought which was fun and safe.

The landscape was breathtaking. What a great way to check out CO backwoods in a super efficient and exciting manner.

Big thumbs up from us. You should do it.

We have snowmobiled in Vail before but this was our first time with Sage. It won’t be our last! We did the Performance tour thinking it would be a bit faster than our previous experiences but it really wasn’t. What it was was amazing trails through beautiful trees, amazing views, rustic cabins and a great afternoon. At the end of the 2 hours, our guide let us “rip” in an open meadow so that made my husband very happy!

The pickup at our hotel was right on time and we were dropped off on time, too! They offer snowsuits (pretty much one size fits all), snow boots and helmets. We would recommend face scarves! If it’s windy, or even if your just going fast in snow, you will definitely be happy you brought one!

There is a small gift shop with snacks, trinkets and free coffee and cocoa. On our visit, the bathrooms had a really nasty odor but not sure if this is common or just something happened.

The private land is beautiful and the trails are varied and well-groomed. A storm came in towards the end of our tour and the blowing snow made for a unique afternoon! Can’t recommend Sage highly enough!

Recently went snowmobiling through Sage Outdoor Adventures and it was an absolutely unforgettable experience. The equipment is well maintained , the staff super friendly and most of all our guide, Ashton, was absolutely wonderful. She helped three of us ride a snowmobile for the first time ever like a PRO, and took all of the anxiety out of the situation. We saw wildlife, incredible views, and rode on well maintained trails. You could really tell that this isn't just a job for her, it's her passion and she wanted us to enjoy it with her.

Although it's off the beaten path Sage Outdoor Adventures is more than worth the drive. As a colorado native I am used to the scenic views, but the landscapes I saw on the tour were completely new, even to me. Their location allows you to see colorado in it's natural state and I can't recommend it enough.

We booked the half day Snowmobile adventure and had an absolutely fantastic experience. Brandon was our superb guide and not only did he get us all confident on the machines, he also stopped at appropriate places to highlight some nature sightings (mule deer and a golden eagle!), places of outstanding beauty and also the historic log dwellings. We could not have enjoyed a better day and his instruction and style really made the day. Thanks Brandon. Highly recommended!

family of 4: ages 55 to 18 and we had never been on snowmobiles before. I had looked at other tours but wanted to stay within the valley as the pass had been subject to closure during our stay. Sage was slightly cheaper than Vail Backcountry and had more positive current reviews. I am SO happy we booked Sage. We had a 4wd so we opted to drive ourselves. They offer a google map link to their 'winter parking' and the directions were easy to follow, greatly helped by huge SAGE signage at every intersection and turn. We were met by very pleasant folks in the lot, signed in and filled out the releases. I didnt expect to have to pay for insurance on the machines ($25) i figured that might be part of the $200 cost, but the machines they provide are beautiful, brand new and super easy to ride. I understand they cost $14-16k.
Nick was our guide and he was awesome. He seemed nervous that none of us had any experience but he encouraged us to ride as hard and fast as we wanted, providing guidance and advice when needed. We hit speeds over 40mph and covered a huge amount of terrain. Tight wooded trails, Deadman's Ridge, and wide open meadows where Nick guided us on a figure 8 race track that was too much fun. I have never left such a glowing review but this experience was perfect. The place is extremely well kept, clean and comfortable. The machines were new and awesome (6-degree weather but the hand controls are heated, my son didnt even bother wearing gloves) Nick was a ton of fun, and really provided a top-notch tour. Full 2 hours of fun on the machines. I rarely repeat any tour but i will definitely return to SAGE, either for a snow mobile or one of their other adventures.
