    Enjoyable experience!
Guide & staff are knowledgeable and accommodative. The highlights of it all are the everchanging rapids and the few splashes along the way down the river.

    I will be back!
AVA in partnership with CSR rentals offers an off road adventure that surpasses any and all adventures that I have ever been on. We chose a 4 hour self guided tour in a 4 seater Polaris Rzr during the afternoon. We were guided on the trails using an onboard GPS that took us to see some Awesome views in the Kremmling mountain area. We also saw deer and cows in the fields that day. I would recommend bringing a lunch and lots of water for this trip to make pit stops along the away to take pictures as the scenery is Awesome. You will have aGreat time. I will be back!

    Wonderful family Adventure
Great family experience! We took my daughter, and her family ( grandkids 2,5,7yr) and my 87 yr old mother on this adventure. Eric was a careful driver. Christian was a super guide, very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. He made everyone of us feel welcomed. Beautiful scenery, we saw lots of wildlife and reveled in God’s handiwork. Highly recommend this trip !

Quality service from start to finish
This shuttle service was very responsive. They sent timely reminder emails and a text with pickup location information When I missed my scheduled Vail shuttle due to a flight delay, with one phone call I was rebooked on a later shuttle (for NO additional cost!). It is the best way to travel between Denver airport and the resort towns.

Super Fun Day at Upper Clear Creek
Loved the Clear Creek Rafting trip! I was headed to Vail from Denver and this was the perfect mid-way adventure. Uber Clear Creek is a thrilling and challenging river with multiple Class 4 rapids, but Wyatt was an awesome guide and was able to coach us through it, even though our group was inexperienced and quite a bit out of sync ;) The guides and bus driver were all fun and full of personality and information. They clearly love what they do. They also have a nice shop. They take phots of you on the river and are available for purchase. $30 for one pic, but $50 for all (around 20 photos total). I did not purchase the photos myself because the majority were taken at a point in the river when we were instructed to get “Down!” So my face was not visible as I was following my guides instructions.

Our host was very accommodating, with tips and ideas to fill the week with fun and activities that fit our needs and budget. With dining, hiking, and horseback riding right outside our door we had plkenty of activities to choose from. The pool and hot tub area was very pleasant to visit through out the day!!

    I got ripped off
The experience was great but be careful I got ripped off by the company: I was quoted a fixed price for 2 events and 2 weeks after I paid for the fixed and agreed by contract price I was asked to pay double what I was quoted and they debited my credit card without talking to me ! I am appalled by this behaviour and no one would call to explain. Do not leave your credit card details to these guys as they will just take your money without asking you!

    Great Day on the Water
We had a great guide but got off to a late start as they held up the a group of 40+ folks for a party of ten that didn’t plan well and was late. It was a good trip but get there in early June if you want more exciting water.

Had a fantastic afternoon on the water
We had a terrific afternoon on the river with our guide, Cara. There were 9 rafts in total on this particular trip. The drive down to the river in the bus was enlivened by a guide who told jokes and gave historical information about the area. The rain started as we got onto the water and we saw a number of lightning flashes. It poured for a few minutes but that didn’t dampen Cara’s enthusiasm. We saw a bald eagle as we rafted and Cara provided information about the history of the area and she pointed out interesting man-made and geographical features. I was quite nervous at the beginning but it really was a fun float with a few rapids to get the heart going. Cassie was the trip leader for all 9 rafts and the safety presentations, both at the meeting place and at the river, were excellent.

We went on a 1/2 day afternoon SUP trip through class 2/3 rapids with AVA earlier this week. It was a great experience and we had so much fun that we've been telling all of our friends to try it, too. We've both been whitewater rafting before (class 3/4 rapids) and we've been on SUPs in still water and the ocean before, so we thought this might be an interesting activity to try. You definitely don't need SUP experience to enjoy this trip, but having some practice on the water helps!

We opted for the afternoon trip (1PM, they advise arriving by 12:45PM), since Kremmling was about an hour from where we were staying, and we ended up getting there a little earlier than expected. Once we parked in the lot behind their building, there were signs posted that directed us to remain at our car until a staff member (masked and observing social distancing protocols!) got us checked in. We were promptly checked in, our clothes/shoes were checked for suitability and then we headed inside to use the bathrooms and get our gear. For the SUP trips & kayaking, everyone has to wear a wetsuit (the water *is* cold) and a helmet, in addition to a PFD, and they have changing rooms for you to change into your gear.

Everyone got loaded onto the bus (masks on!), with an extra row between each group for distancing and the windows were open during the entire ride to the launch site, which took about 30 min. The trip guides got everyone off the bus and onto their respective watercraft (rafts, kayaks and our SUPs) quickly, masks were taken off and we were in the river! I hit a rock about 2 min into the trip, but after that it was pretty smooth. It's easy paddling down the river, and the guides let us know when to expect the rapids and how to navigate them. There was even a stop for cliff diving halfway through. Overall, super fun and exciting for us on the SUPs - we stood for most of the trip and knelt for the rapids, and we each fell in once.

Once we got to the end of the trip near Radium (about 2.5 hours on the water), we were the first to get out and the guides got everything packed up and loaded back onto the bus (masks back on!) quickly. The ride back was only 5 min longer than the ride out, and everyone was in a great mood. Shout out to Grayson, our trip lead, and the rest of the team!

My tips, if you're planning on going this summer:
- AVA emails you a link to sign your waivers beforehand. Definitely sign before you get there - and make sure everyone else in your group does, too! It makes check-in a lot easier and faster.
- Bring a cloth reusable mask or gaiter, so it's not uncomfortable when you have to put it back on for the bus ride back.
- You won't be leashed to the SUP, but there are ropes where you can attach your stuff (like a waterproof bag or water bottle) with a carabiner, in case you don't want to leave anything in your car or the bus. You can bring a plastic water bottle on a raft, but there's nowhere to put it on a SUP, so make sure you bring a container you can attach to your PFD or SUP.
- If you're not sure about how long your sunscreen will last in the water, we put on sunscreen and wore rashguard/sunshirts over our wetsuits, which helped with sun protection and keeping cool.
- Plenty of the folks going rafting wore sneakers, but we were wearing tevas & water shoes. You have to wear shoes with straps on the water (no flip flops, crocs, etc.), so why not wear something that you won't have to wait to dry the next day?
- If you wear glasses or sunglasses, bring your chums (or buy them there for $8 like we did).
