      Awesome experience
Isiah was a fabulous guide with a great sense of humor and very knowledgeable about the area. He was a very pleasant young man indeed! He rowed the entire trip just letting us relax and enjoy the gorgeous scenery surrounding the river. The whole experience was awesome and we definitely recommend the AVA folks for your trip.

      Great Guides and Fun!
Our guides Steven and Tim did an awesome job getting everyone excited and making sure we enjoyed ourselves! Tim’s energy was contagious, Steven made us feel extra safe, and both gave us all the opportunity to go as fast as we want (you know… while being safe). Thank you guys!

Not enough bang for your buck.
First of all, I can't blame AVA because of the water, but honestly, this seemed like a trip you'd take a bunch of 4th graders on. No real rapids. I would say what we experienced was maybe half rapids, no Class 1 or Class 2 and the tour advertises. Secondly, I don't call a two hour rafting trip a 'half day'. A 'half day' to me means at least three, maybe four hours. My drive from Denver to Kremmling lasted longer than the ride down the river. Having said that, our guide, Jordan was great.

      Floating Fun ❤️
Isaiah & the crew did a great job telling us about the area while floating down the river. They all jumped off the cliff. Fun was had by all!

      Fun rafting trip!
We had a great trip with friends who had not been rafting before. Jackson was our guide and he was terrific. The canyon and scenery were spectacular. My only beef is with the cost and length of the trip. You advertise it as a half day, but the actual rafting was only an hour and fifteen minutes. Not a great value for $90 a person and I think it's very misleading. We can raft for 2 1/2 hours on the Rio Grande in New Mexico for $71 a person.

Gold Rush - White Water Rafting: A fantastic fun time!!!
Hannah was our rafting guide - she was so much fun!! She had a great sense of humor and made us laugh the entire trip! Besides her great attitude and sense of humor - she was very knowledgeable about the history of the area, and we learned a lot. As a mom having my 2 children on the raft, the most important factor was that Hannah was confident in her ability and she made me feel very safe - I felt confident that if anything should have gone wrong (nothing did) - Hannah would have been able to save the day. We had a wonderful experience!! Hannah was AMAZING and we will definitely book with AVA and request Hannah again!

Terrible. AVA Canceled without letting us know.
AVA canceled our rafting trip and never contacted us to let us know. We had a half day rafting trip booked for seven people way in advance. Had to scramble to find another company last minute with availability for the weekend we were visiting.

10 out 10 highly recommend. Shoutout to Justin (Big Red) our guide
Our Tour Guide Justin (aka Big Red) was awesome. He was knowledgeable, funny and made our our experience even better. This was our third time doing white water rafting and the second time in the Colorado River, and again was the highlight of our summer visit to Beaver Creek. Our kids are now older (21 and 18) and they enjoyed as much as when we did it 6 years ago. Loved the 30 ft cliff jump at the end! I highly recommend AVA, and consider yourselves lucky if you get Big Red as your guide. 5 stars

White water and Zipline family adventure
Fun and adventurous family trip! Our guide for rafting, Shoestring, and his partner Siggie navigated the river as experts. We were complete novices and had a blast! The clifside zip lining was led by Tim and Jesse. They put our safety first and then made sure everyone was having a great time. Lots of memories made on our trip.

      A splashing time with AVA
Our guide Robby rocked! He added fascinating facts about the area and was very knowledgeable. Safety was always his number 1 concern. He did an amazing job with our family of 4 ranging from ages 11-64. Burns Vista Browns Canyon 1/2 day is definitely worth the hype for us first timers.

Ask for Justin for your guide.
Very well organized Trip. Justin, our guide, is worth asking for. Great 1st trip for my 7 year old granddaughter. Justin was super funny and knew all of the history. I highly recommend Ava. Neat the end you can jump off either a 6 foot or 30 foot cliff into the river.

      Amazing Adventure!
We took our family of 7, ranging in ages from 10-47 on the 6-line zipline tour today with Kale and Tim, and it was GREAT! They were excellent guides, focused on safety and coaching us to be safe while making it fun at the same time! They truly were amazing! Our entire group had a great time and would highly recommend going with Ava and Tim and Kale!

      Oh captain
Kris masterfully guided our craft down the tumultuous clear creek. We were thankful to stay in the boat with such a knowledgeable, experienced and patient captain.

      Via Ferrara Adventure!!!
Awesome experience for the family! Half the family did zip lines and the other half did via ferrata. Super friendly staff. Jess and Ernie escorted us on the challenging via ferrata rocks and zip lines, coaching along the way and letting us have fun with flips and upside down hang on the zip lines. Bring a picnic lunch and enjoy the outside tables after your adventure.

We went on a 1/2 day afternoon SUP trip through class 2/3 rapids with AVA earlier this week. It was a great experience and we had so much fun that we've been telling all of our friends to try it, too. We've both been whitewater rafting before (class 3/4 rapids) and we've been on SUPs in still water and the ocean before, so we thought this might be an interesting activity to try. You definitely don't need SUP experience to enjoy this trip, but having some practice on the water helps!

We opted for the afternoon trip (1PM, they advise arriving by 12:45PM), since Kremmling was about an hour from where we were staying, and we ended up getting there a little earlier than expected. Once we parked in the lot behind their building, there were signs posted that directed us to remain at our car until a staff member (masked and observing social distancing protocols!) got us checked in. We were promptly checked in, our clothes/shoes were checked for suitability and then we headed inside to use the bathrooms and get our gear. For the SUP trips & kayaking, everyone has to wear a wetsuit (the water *is* cold) and a helmet, in addition to a PFD, and they have changing rooms for you to change into your gear.

Everyone got loaded onto the bus (masks on!), with an extra row between each group for distancing and the windows were open during the entire ride to the launch site, which took about 30 min. The trip guides got everyone off the bus and onto their respective watercraft (rafts, kayaks and our SUPs) quickly, masks were taken off and we were in the river! I hit a rock about 2 min into the trip, but after that it was pretty smooth. It's easy paddling down the river, and the guides let us know when to expect the rapids and how to navigate them. There was even a stop for cliff diving halfway through. Overall, super fun and exciting for us on the SUPs - we stood for most of the trip and knelt for the rapids, and we each fell in once.

Once we got to the end of the trip near Radium (about 2.5 hours on the water), we were the first to get out and the guides got everything packed up and loaded back onto the bus (masks back on!) quickly. The ride back was only 5 min longer than the ride out, and everyone was in a great mood. Shout out to Grayson, our trip lead, and the rest of the team!

My tips, if you're planning on going this summer:
    - AVA emails you a link to sign your waivers beforehand. Definitely sign before you get there - and make sure everyone else in your group does, too! It makes check-in a lot easier and faster.
    - Bring a cloth reusable mask or gaiter, so it's not uncomfortable when you have to put it back on for the bus ride back.
    - You won't be leashed to the SUP, but there are ropes where you can attach your stuff (like a waterproof bag or water bottle) with a carabiner, in case you don't want to leave anything in your car or the bus. You can bring a plastic water bottle on a raft, but there's nowhere to put it on a SUP, so make sure you bring a container you can attach to your PFD or SUP.
    - If you're not sure about how long your sunscreen will last in the water, we put on sunscreen and wore rashguard/sunshirts over our wetsuits, which helped with sun protection and keeping cool.
    - Plenty of the folks going rafting wore sneakers, but we were wearing tevas & water shoes. You have to wear shoes with straps on the water (no flip flops, crocs, etc.), so why not wear something that you won't have to wait to dry the next day?
    - If you wear glasses or sunglasses, bring your chums (or buy them there for $8 like we did).
