- dawnchristylrouv0 contributionsAmazing half-day tour in DenverIt's a fun experience to explore Denver with a small group, me and my sister took a lot of pictures, really worth the price & we had a very nice tour guide, overall it's a wonderful half-day tour.Written February 8, 2025
- Christian Brorh... M0 contributionsGreat bus trip and tour visiting Rocky Mountains during winter seasonOur guide Ben picked us up in Denver city, driving in a mid sized bus (good fit for the group). We made several stops along the way to the national park, while Ben was informing us about the surroundings. The weather was crisp, clear and cold. Remember some proper footwear - for icy conditions. Unfortunately the road to the very top mountain was closed - due to snow. Still we made some great stops and saw both mule deer and elk. All in all a very scenic, easy and relaxing way to experience the national park and surrounding areas.Written February 8, 2025
- Coastal093025699080 contributionsGreat views , great experienceAll I can say it was amazing. My tour guide was great and very informative! I had enough time to take photos and explore. Would definitely recommend.Written February 3, 2025
- kkaynr0 contributionsGood experienceI had a good time and experience wi tbh Philip on this tour. I was travelling alone and made some friends along the way. We caught a beautiful glimpse of the Rockies, Georgetown, and Red Rocks. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it to Loveland Pass. The van was comfortable and light refreshments were provided. Appreciated Philip narrating some of the history behind some of the places we drove past.Written January 26, 2025
- Jane P0 contributionsAmazing experience with our tour!!We had a really great time today, our tour guide Laurel was very knowledgeable and friendly, she knows the best places in the area, we are happy with her service!Written January 21, 2025
- toddwX2794KN0 contributionsIncredible adventure!!Had an incredible adventure on this tour ( I call it an adventure because that's what it truly was!). I went into this with the expectations of just seeing some breathtaking sites, which we did, but our guide, Will, added so much more to the adventure with his information and insights of the entire area as well as his engaging, funny, and witty storytelling. It became not just a sightseeing tour, but an in-depth history of Denver and the surrounding area as well as all the places we stopped along the way. Yes, this is a long tour and takes the entire day, but for me, it was so worth it and an incredible value for what is in my opinion a very high-level tour. Two thumbs up!!!!Written January 19, 2025
- flipflopfool0 contributionsAmazing tourThe RMNP Winter/Spring tour truly surpassed all my expectations. The scenery was absolutely stunning, and Hans, our guide, was incredible. He was both entertaining and exceptionally knowledgeable, making the experience both fun and informative. I gained so much from the tour. He also ensured we were all comfortable with the altitude, which I appreciated. Overall, it was a fantastic day.Written January 18, 2025
- Rodfamilia0 contributionsAmazing sceneryThe Rocky Mountain winter tour was amazing. Our goal was to get the max snow experience since we live in the most southern part of Texas. Our trip was cut a little short by about 45 minutes, which we were told is not the norm, and the company gave us a small partial refund so that was greatly appreciated. Alex our tour guide was very knowledgeable and funny. It was VERY cold so go prepared. I highly recommend if you don't have the vehicle to drive in mountain snow and if you want some history with the sightseeing.Written January 8, 2025
- S33k3r-220 contributionsColorado Sightseer is TOP NOTCH. RMNP Tour is Fantastic!!Flew into Denver on November 6th and endured the first big snow storm of 2024. Wasn't sure we were going to be able to move forward with the tour. Another company cancelled their tour, but Colorado Sightseer came through and went through with the tour. We left about an hour late, but it was WELL worth the wait. Our tour guide was top-notch, and the scenery was stunning. We even got surrounded by the massive herd of elk as they traveled their yearly route. Amazing trip, and the best part of my 48 hours in Denver.Written January 6, 2025
- propperk0 contributionsA beautiful half day in the moubtainsExcellent experience. Our guide, Phil, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, personable, and patient. We learned a lot about the area andsaw all sorts of beautiful vistas and wildlife. Perfect amount of time as well. Could not recommend this or Phil highly enough! You will not be disappointed.Written January 4, 2025

- tatumrg0 contributionsfun locations!!!I loved this tour! I like that it was a half-day tour and we got to explore each area we stopped in. Our tour guide, Will, was very helpful in taking photos, offering advice, and helping us put the rubber snow cleats on our shoes (we’re not from a snowy area lol). I only wish we had a little more time to explore the town of Evergreen. It was a great tour for me and my boyfriend and I thought it to be reasonably priced. I’d never stood on a frozen lake before so that was awesome!Written December 29, 2024
- AdithiPandit0 contributionsFun, entertaining and scenic day tourThis was such a great tour to go on. The Rocky Mountain Park is stunning in winter, and quieter from a visitor perspective. The pacing is perfect - enough time to explore a number of spots, not too much driving time but also our guide Will was super funny, informative and entertaining. So drive time was a blast. Highly recommend.Written December 14, 2024

What an outstanding experience! The whole journey was a lesson in the history of mining through some amazing scenery… and casinos lol!
Paul, at the mine itself was fantastic; took us through the whole process and made it very entertaining and a worthwhile experience.
Would highly recommend enjoying this activity when you visit Denver.

We had a beautiful day to explore Clear Creek canyon, Central City, some ghost towns and the gold mine. Our guide, Will, was open to our questions & gearing the tour more towards our interests. We had a lovely half day tour.

We are a family of five, first time in Colorado. I really wanted the mine tour so I emailed Colorado Sightseer. They are accommodating, they opened a new tour for us. We were lucky to have one of the owners, Christine, tour us. She’s very knowledgeable, patient, and, even added extra places for us to see. The mine tour highlights the history of CO gold, the influx of people in a state where no one wants to live at that time. We visited abandoned mines, an active mine, and other surrounding areas. It is a must see in a CO travel especially the history buff. This tour gives you an idea on how CO started out before statehood. Go and learn!

Interesting tour, but paced slow enough that it felt like more should have been included. I would place the value around $65, not $95 pp. You get interesting facts like you would with any tour, but I would recommend a different tour if someone only had a half day available.

So sorry to hear that Ayoka. This 6 hr tour includes a $28 mine tour and is one of our favorites for Colorado Gold Rush History. Not sure where else we could cut costs. An Uber from DIA to downtown Denver can cost upwards of $120 with surge pricing and $60 at the least for a 30-minute ride.
But thanks for your review of a small local family-owned business.

It was a lovely day, the guide explained everything in such an interesting way,it was a very enjoyable day. We were very relaxed and learnt a lot about the Rocky mountains. We travel a lot and have gone on so many tours and they can be boring and uncomfortable, but this was really worth going on, and we were not bored once.
I would recommend it. It was winter and we went to a ski resort had ice cream in a little town and saw the Ampi-theater. all round worth every cent.

The tour included a short stop in Central City and Georgetown but the main event was touring an actual, working gold mine. Very interesting. We all had to don a hard hat, and Scott, our tour guide, willingly took photos for everyone. The actual mine tour guide was the son of the owner, so we were given great information. My favorite part was when the lights were all turned out and there was just the light of one small candle. If you're in Denver and looking for a short jaunt up to the mountains to get a feel for some history, this is a great tour.

Written July 23, 2019
The temps are cool in the mine 50-60 degrees. If it is hot outside the cool temps will feel good. So I would say no jacket required. Enjoy the tour!

I will have to catch a flight in the afternoon of the day I'd like to book - what time does the morning tour start and what approximate time does it return to Denver?
Written May 28, 2019
I will be traveling with my 95-year old mother. She is a very young 95, but she does use a 3-wheeled walker for longer treks. Will that work in the mine?
