Thanks to Zach, we had a fab day exploring Garden of the Gods, Manitou Springs, and Pikes Peak. His knowledge of the area's history and culture enriched the experience, and his approachable and humorous nature made everyone feel welcome.
I must admit that his driving was impeccable. Driving up Pikes Peak in snow and fog felt intimidating, but Zach’s expertise made us feel safe, even with limited visibility and he ensured we made it to the summit and spent time at the visitors centre. Unfortunately, because of overnight snow and cloudy conditions, we didn’t get the views at the summit that we expected.
Overall, the tour was well-paced, allowing us time to explore each location, enjoy lunch and shopping in Manitou Springs, and take photos at a reservoir on the way back.
Zach’s professionalism, knowledge, and personality made it an unforgettable day, and I plan to return to try the Manitou incline.
I recommend this tour to anyone who wants a safe enjoyable and informative way to explore the area.

Zach sounds like he truly made your Pikes Peak and Garden of the Gods tour an unforgettable experience! We’re so glad you felt safe and well taken care of, especially with the challenging snowy and foggy conditions on Pikes Peak. His expertise and impeccable driving make all the difference in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable journey.
It’s great to hear that you had plenty of time to explore Garden of the Gods, visit Manitou Springs for lunch and shopping, and stop for photos at the reservoir—those little moments make the experience even more special. While the summit views didn’t cooperate this time, it’s amazing that you still made it to the top and got to visit the Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center!
Thank you for the kind words and recommendation. We’d love to have you back for another small-group tour from Denver—and if you take on the Manitou Incline, we’re cheering you on!

I read reviews prior to purchasing this tour, and saw nothing but great reviews, and the name I kept seeing come up on these great reviews was “Jason”. My partner and I were lucky enough to have also gotten matched with Jason as our tour guide, and I see why he gets such great feedback. Myself, and a few others in our group were coming into it really nervous about the altitude sickness, and the climb up to Pike’s Peak — but with Jason, he made sure to keep our spirits up with his jokes, as well as helping us get out of our heads by sharing fun facts about where we were, and doing trivia with the group. He made sure to let us know what to expect right from the start to the finish line, and even when the altitude sickness eventually kicked in for us, he reminded us again what we were feeling was completely normal, but at the same time he was super attentive and continued to help us feel comfortable and safe as possible. All in all, I’m so happy to have had this amazing experience and it wouldn’t be possible without Jason! I highly recommend getting the cans of oxygen to help with the altitude sickness - I forgot to bring one with me myself, but it helped a lot when I eventually did get one . And of course Dramamine for the car ride if you don’t do well in car rides with winding roads.

This trip was so worth it! We are so happy we did it. Our guide Harley was full of energy from the moment he greeted us at the van and did not stop being educative and fun for the entire 8 hour trip. The views where amazing and it was great being able to see the summit of pike's peak without having to hike the mountain. Only thing I wish we would have brought was hats and gloves since it did end up being pretty cold at the top but in retrospect, that is to be expected during February. Would definitely book a tour with ilimo and Harley again!

It’s amazing how much beauty and adventure you can pack into a single day in Colorado, and we’re so glad you found this trip worth it! Harley’s energy, knowledge, and fun approach truly make the experience unforgettable, and getting to the summit of Pikes Peak without the strenuous hike is a huge bonus.
The crisp February mountain air definitely has a way of reminding you that layers are key, but those breathtaking summit views make it all worthwhile! We’d love to have you join us again for another adventure—maybe Red Rocks, Blue Sky Mountain, Breckenridge, or Rocky Mountain National Park next time!

We had an all day tour with Jason that started at 9:45am. He was prompt and he was a good driver. We felt safe on the long drive and he knew a lot about the area. The scenery and stops were all great, we had enough time, bathroom stops, and recommendations to have a comfortable trip. He brought bottles of water and gave us good tips about how to stay hydrated and how to handle altitude sickness(luckily we didn’t get it).
What we could have done without- Jason wasn’t happy with a couple who came late and kept arriving late back to the van. Instead of talking to them he just talked about them, even imitating their accent. Making side comments that if we were late getting back it was bc the one coupke were 5 minutes late for pick up a couple times. No one was concerned about the time we got back and traffic was bad anyway. Jason also called some other people on the road “pansies” and said some really classist things like “if you have to ask how much something costs then you probably can’t afford it”. Then he decided not to give the couple who was late his QR code for a review bc he assumed they would be annoyed that we didn’t have enough time in each stop. They told me that they had a great time at the end of the tour, by the way.
I found Jason’s fake kindness and his close-minded comments frustrating during the drive. His assumption that everyone in the van felt the same way as him was ignorant.
Jason, if you’re working with tourists they are not going to know all your rules and expectations so make them clear or pull people aside, especially the people who arrived late, don’t speak English as a first language, and are sitting in the back of the van where you said it was hard to hear. For that reason we didn’t tip you the customary 20%. I would have told you during the drive but I thought you were driving us on the side of a mountain so I felt it was better to tell you know. Sorry not sorry, it’s 2024 and you should know this stuff.

At the meeting point before the ride there was confusion over who was on which van for the different tours. At first I was directed to a particular van only to be told that I was not on the list.
I was then directed to another van operated by a large, heavily bearded gentleman adorned in a cowboy hat and boots with his face full of a white cream substance striking a close resemblance to The Mountain Man.
He also indicated that I was not on his list and when I pointed out that I had been directed to him by one of his colleagues and that I was not happy to not appear on either of the lists after paying a substantial amount of money he became visibly upset, stalked away uttering and mumbling that he wasnt going to deal with this. I also showed him my paid ticket which apparently led to his near break down.
Returning to the original van it developed that only my first name had been entered thus explaining the confusion.
Now for the trip itself.
The driver was very good although the van had no microphone and the driver relied on his raised voice to make his announcements and commentary. I was seated in the last row, four back ,and being hard of hearing had great difficulty in hearing him.
The first stop is the Garden of the Gods which features very interesting rock formations. But I had just arrived from Moab, Utah where there are hundreds of these type of rocks so for me it was underwhelming. However if you have never experienced these I would recommend it. The park is fairly walkable without any very steep inclines.
The next stop was Manitou Springs where we stopped for one hour for lunch and shopping. There are many restaurants and shops in this very nice town.
The drive up to the top of Pikes Peak takes over one hour and when at the top we were advised to return to the van in under thirty minutes due to the thin air at the top which can affect many people. The weather was clear and afforded good views.
I have been driven through the Himalayas in Bhutan and up to the top of Mount Evans as well as having driven myself to the top of Mount Washington so once again this was somewhat underwhelming. But if you have never been to mountains of this size it is a worthwhile experience.
So overall considering everything I would recommend this trip which , by the way is a full day.
But beware of The Mountain Man. Just smile at him and be careful not to ask questions which might upset him.

I had an amazing time on this tour! From start to finish, everything was well-organized and thoughtfully planned. The day began with a comfortable ride from Denver, and our guide, Jason, was also our driver. His skill and experience behind the wheel made the journey relaxing and enjoyable, allowing us to fully take in the scenery without a worry.
Our first stop, Garden of the Gods, was absolutely breathtaking—the red rock formations were even more impressive in person. After exploring there, we continued to the picturesque town of Manitou Springs. We enjoyed walking around and picking up some unique souvenirs, though there were plenty of spots for a quick bite if we had wanted one.
The highlight for me was reaching the summit of Pike’s Peak. Standing over 14,000 feet up and taking in the panoramic views was surreal! I was grateful to be on a guided tour, as I could focus on the incredible landscape without the stress of mountain driving.
Jason truly made the trip memorable with his insight, humor, and engaging stories. He had us laughing all day and went out of his way to make sure everyone was having a great experience. If you’re looking for a hassle-free way to see Colorado’s natural wonders, I highly recommend this tour!

This small group tour of Garden of the Gods was absolutely spectacular! Our guide Harley was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, making the experience truly memorable. Harley shared fascinating insights about the geological formations and the area's rich history, and being in a small group made it easy to ask questions and learn more throughout the tour.
The magnificent red rock formations against the Colorado sky were absolutely breathtaking, and the views with Pikes Peak in the background were simply stunning. Harley knew all the perfect photo spots and was more than happy to help everyone capture these magical moments.
The small group size made the experience feel intimate and unhurried, allowing us to fully take in the natural beauty of each location. Harley's attentive nature and passion for the area really enhanced the whole experience. He went above and beyond to ensure everyone was comfortable and engaged throughout the tour.
I must mention a special moment that really showed Harley's exceptional customer service - when my mother urgently needed a restroom, he went out of his way to help us by asking nearby shops until he found one we could use. This kind of thoughtful attention to our comfort really made the difference.
The natural beauty of Garden of the Gods is truly awe-inspiring, and this tour with Harley was the perfect way to experience it. I highly recommend booking this tour, especially if you get Harley as your guide - it's definitely worth every penny! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our trip was delayed in Denver for a few days so we decided to look for fun activities we could do. While we were looking in Trip advisor this caught our attention. I loved the whole experience and awesome views. But what made the experience even better was our Tour guide Harley. He was knowledgeable about the history of the place, Full of fun facts and great jokes. Harley was very energetic and a fun voice that made every comment stand out. In my opinion we couldn’t have had a very tour guide. So if you’re ever in Denver I highly recommend yo to take some time and go check it out, Trust me you won’t regret it.

Can’t believe how lucky we were to get Jason as our guide for this trip! As a local to this area, he added so many extra stories, tips, and memorable information along the way! He was an expert driver and made me feel extremely safe on our way up and down Pikes Peak. He was very informative, energetic, and fun while also making us feel at ease the whole day. I highly recommend this breathtaking tour and Jason as your guide along the way.

This tour seems amazing! Planning a group trip and wondering about the food experience—since good food makes any tour even better. I'm also thinking about grabbing some Sonic Snacks from sonic-happy-hour.us/sonic-menu to bring along for the journey.

We did not get sick - you definitely feel it, take a little bit to get use to it.

Hi, in the Additional Information section, one item said no refund available due to weather, the one right below it said the tour requires good weather and if it’s not available, can reschedule or refund. Please clarify if the tour needs to be cancelled due to weather, can we get refunded or not. We aren’t from Denver and leaving the very next day. Current reservation is under Qiuyi Varney

How serious is the risk of elevation sickness? Are there people who should not go based on certain medial conditions even if treated with medication?
Written August 14, 2023
If you have a serious condition, ask your doctor! My pharmacist told me there is medication against altitude sickness, which is different from travel sickness medication.
I was ok with just water, but I definitely felt my heart racing at the top and I was out of breath just walking around.

Can you purchase this experience for one person or is there a minimum person purchase?
Written September 3, 2022
You can sign up by yourself, but unless there is a minimum of 4 people, they will cancel the trip. There were a few singles in the 12 people on our tour.

Is there an itinerary? I'm curious how many stops there are, how long for each one, where is the stop for lunch, etc.

Hello, we have reservations with you on 9/6. Is it possible to meet you in CO Springs rather than the pick up point in Denver? We are staying in CO Springs and seems to make more sense to get picked up there rather than us driving to Denver to be picked up.
thanks!

What time does the tour return?
I have a flight at 840pm and want to make sure I'll have enough time to get to the airport.
