- annabelleb5990 contributionsBest way to see Pike’s peak!Harley was a great tour guide! He changed the order of the itinerary so we could see everything before the bad weather which was great. I only wish the tour was a little longer! Maybe 10-15 minutes more at Pikes Peak and at Manitou Springs would have been perfect for lunch, shopping, and exploring.Written September 11, 2024

- StephenM4470 contributionsWatch Out for Mountain ManAt the meeting point before the ride there was confusion over who was on which van for the different tours. At first I was directed to a particular van only to be told that I was not on the list. I was then directed to another van operated by a large, heavily bearded gentleman adorned in a cowboy hat and boots with his face full of a white cream substance striking a close resemblance to The Mountain Man. He also indicated that I was not on his list and when I pointed out that I had been directed to him by one of his colleagues and that I was not happy to not appear on either of the lists after paying a substantial amount of money he became visibly upset, stalked away uttering and mumbling that he wasnt going to deal with this. I also showed him my paid ticket which apparently led to his near break down. Returning to the original van it developed that only my first name had been entered thus explaining the confusion. Now for the trip itself. The driver was very good although the van had no microphone and the driver relied on his raised voice to make his announcements and commentary. I was seated in the last row, four back ,and being hard of hearing had great difficulty in hearing him. The first stop is the Garden of the Gods which features very interesting rock formations. But I had just arrived from Moab, Utah where there are hundreds of these type of rocks so for me it was underwhelming. However if you have never experienced these I would recommend it. The park is fairly walkable without any very steep inclines. The next stop was Manitou Springs where we stopped for one hour for lunch and shopping. There are many restaurants and shops in this very nice town. The drive up to the top of Pikes Peak takes over one hour and when at the top we were advised to return to the van in under thirty minutes due to the thin air at the top which can affect many people. The weather was clear and afforded good views. I have been driven through the Himalayas in Bhutan and up to the top of Mount Evans as well as having driven myself to the top of Mount Washington so once again this was somewhat underwhelming. But if you have never been to mountains of this size it is a worthwhile experience. So overall considering everything I would recommend this trip which , by the way is a full day. But beware of The Mountain Man. Just smile at him and be careful not to ask questions which might upset him.Written September 11, 2024
- A2024MPcarolm0 contributionsWhat an ahhhmazing day!!!Harley was such an amazing tour guide! He was funny, informative, & very accommodating to our needs. We went to Pikes Peak & Garden of the Gods. - 342rebeccal0 contributionsAwesome guide, great experienceHarley our guide was AMAZING. He is friendly and energetic through our trip , feeding us with fun facts, information and occasionally, enjoyable dad jokes. Before the trip he had done some research of the weather and offered to shift the itinerary around to make sure we had the best experience. Recommended food options that would fit into our hour long lunch break and some shops worth visiting at Manitou. I felt safe thru my tour even though the drive can be dangerous. It's worth the price paid for with water included and a very comfortable van. I booked through Viator but texted the tour company directly to confirm the tour a day before and got a reply the day of the tour. Not much of physically climbing or hiking, just a simple walk around Gardens of the Gods, so almost everyone can join (unless U can't handle high altitude)Written September 10, 2024
- 756caitlind0 contributionsGreat time exploring Colorful Colorado! We had an amazing time with Harley! The itinerary was rearranged to accommodate weather, so we had perfect beautiful weather all day! That was so thoughtful. The van/limo was clean and comfortable. Harley was funny and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend!!Written September 10, 2024

So happy we did this tour. Got to see elk, chipmunks and a moose! Being from Florida we were really hoping to see snow but wasn’t sure if that would be possible in June. Not only did we see a ton of snow it actually started snowing while we were up at the alpine trail visitor center. Our guide Harley made sure we had plenty of time to see everything we wanted to see and we felt safe on those curvy mountain roads with him. Even in the rain and snow. Definitely recommend this tour.

Gary was probably the best tour guide I've ever had!! He was very informative and has a good sense of humor. You can literally ask him anything and he will most likely know the answer to your question. 10/10 experience and would recommend doing this tour trip no matter who you are traveling with!

Zack was a great tour guide and I would recommend him to anyone wanting to take a driving tour of the rocky mountains national parks! He was engaged and told us a lot about the history of the park. And I loved that he encouraged questions.

My husband and I really enjoyed this tour, with Harley as our guide. He was fun and engaging, while being very informative. Harley was an excellent and patient driver, and the stops on the tour made it very manageable for breaks and getting out of the van to see the sights. I would highly recommend this tour.

Harley was a great tour guide!! We had a blast!! He had high energy, funny, and full of information. I didn’t know what to expect, but the drive up and down the mountain were beautiful. He stopped when we saw wildlife and most importantly he really, really took great care of all of us so we didn’t get sick from the altitude. So much better than driving ourselves so we could both enjoy the views.
I only suggest the website describe the tour a little better and we had a few more minutes at the top of Rocky Mountain National Park.
It was a great day!! Thank you!!

We had an amazing trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. We saw a moose bathing in a small lake, numerous elk (including those grazing within 10 feet of us near Estes Park), a marmot, and even a pika traveling to its burrow with a raspberry bush trig in its mouth! Zach is THE BEST tour guide. He is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and absolutely full of energy, fun, and enthusiasm. Highest recommendation.

The tour of Estes Park and Rocky Mountain National Park was much better than I expected! I learned about the geology of the park, it's resident wildlife, rivers and creeks from our tour guide Jason, a Colorado native. He was very patient answering questions and making sure everyone was comfortable. We were picked up on time and stopped at all the places promised. I can easily recommend this adventure!

Our tour guide Ben did an amazing job. He was always early and making sure everyone had everything they needed. He was very knowledgeable about everything Denver and had an answer for every question. He always had something interesting to point out or share. He went above and beyond to be helpful and make sure everyone enjoyed themselves. He is very kind and genuine which made for a great tour guide.

Went with Gary (or “Bear”) to the Winter tour of Rocky Mountains & Estes Park. Gary was very nice and provided a great tour and stopped for us to shop, eat and take plenty of photography. He was a lifelong Denver, CO area resident so he told us all about what Estes Park was like growing up and what all the areas are like. Saw many wildlife and even saw some snow at Bear Lake! One of the best parts of my time in Colorado.

Hello, What type of vehicle is used on this tour? Does it have a restroom? Will you provide a list of hotels/pick up points? We are not staying in the center of the city. Can we park at the hotel for free? What are the chances if seeing everything during the 3rd week of October. Thank you in advance for your answers.
Written October 7, 2018
Vehicle used is a Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van. It does not have a restroom but the tour guide stops conveniently for sightseeing, food, walking, shopping, etc. See iLimo's website for pickup points. I was picked up at the Blue Bear in downtown Denver outside the Convention Center and parked my rental car at a public lot, easy walk to the Blue Bear. Parking was not free, I don't recall how much, but it wasn't too expensive. I did the tour late April so I don't know what October would be like.
