About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- christine c0 contributionsHans and Laurel went out of their way to ensure we had a fantastic day!We had an absolutely fantastic time on our half-day tour with Colorado Sightseer! Our group of high school students visiting from Australia was lucky to have Laurel and Hans as our guides—they were knowledgeable, fun, and went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. From exploring Red Rocks Amphitheatre to the stunning stops at Evergreen and Echo Lake, everything was perfectly organised. They even came prepared with snowshoeing gear and snacks, which was such a thoughtful touch. Their enthusiasm and expertise made the tour a highlight of our trip. Highly recommend!Written March 20, 2025
- Kenneth K0 contributionsFantastic Rocky Mountain TripBen was an awesome tour guide, he was very knowledgeable of the area and also very friendly. We had children on the tour and he took us to a spot that they could sled. They really enjoyed the experience.Written March 18, 2025
- samanthaaP1017IZ0 contributionsWonderful day tourThis is a trip I would recommend to anyone visiting Denver. My kids and I were lucky to have two guides, Ann and Hans. They did wonderfully connecting with the group and providing excellent history of the areas visited. Ann also did amazing with driving in hurricane force winds. If we visit again in summer, I will boom with them again.Written March 18, 2025

- Sightsee2841730 contributionsSit back, relax, and enjoy the majestic views! The tour was super fun! Anne did a fantastic job sharing the history of the area, but also many geological facts that stuck with me long after the tour was over, which is saying a lot, considering that I am a long time resident of Colorado! I would highly recommend this tour, and suggest that everyone book with Anne! Her upbeat, positive demeanor provides the perfect backdrop for a really great day.Written March 15, 2025

- Jerseygirlboss0 contributionsRed Rocks, Evergreen and Echo Lake TourLong post!! Good day, I booked the 1/2 day tour about a several days before arriving to Denver. I kept checking to see if the number of attendees had changed and then the day before, I decided to call. I ended up sending an email and had also called back. When I checked the email response, the person mentioned that the phone # I had left was disconnected. I am not sure what happened there, but even if that was the case, my # was on my online registration. The trip was due to cancel because they didn't have enough people, but by the end of Monday, they had the 3 they needed to run it. That was communicated to me via text, which was great. Now, on the day of the tour, we were told to wait by the flagpole, it was extremely cold. I waited a few minutes, but as I was heading back into the building, I called the office contact and was told that an email was sent to meet inside. I never received that, but with only 3 people, why would you not at least text the riders to be sure they are aware. Alex was our guide, and it was supposed to be 5 hours according to the site. Alex was very knowledgeable and friendly. We did the Red Rocks, Echo Lake and Idaho Springs since he said that he was not comfortable driving to Evergreen with how the roads may possibly be. The main roads were fairly clear, but for Echo Lake the ride up was work and not yet cleared, but he made it. We appreciated that. So, with us going to Idaho Springs instead of Evergreen, we were first only given 30 mins. But by the time we went to one store and to the ladies' room, our time was up! We asked for more time, which we agreed on 15 more mins. That was also fine. I did ask when we would be returning to Union Station and he said between 1:15-1:30. Well, we got back BEFORE 12:30. Another one of the ladies also agreed that she felt that we could have had more time somewhere or that another spot should have been added, even locally. Again, it states 5 hours, but when you add up the timeline they provide, it is only 4 and this is why I asked what time we were getting back. I cannot say I did not enjoy the experience and history he shared, but I felt like it would be more worth $60 at most for 4 or 5 hours, not $84.Written February 28, 2025

- 310candices0 contributionsPictures don’t do it justiceOur tour was such an amazing experience! The views were stunning and we got to see more popular areas of the park without having to wait in line because there was hardly anyone there! Honestly as a Texas girl it was super cool to see the park covered in snow, just make sure your bring a big jacket, gloves, and a hat if you go in February. Hans was a great guide very personable and always checking to make sure we were doing okay. We walked around a little bit but there wasn’t too much actual hiking if that’s something you wanted or didn’t want to do. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who would like to see the park but can’t make it up there themselves.Written February 25, 2025

Will was an excellent guide. He was also a wonderful storyteller, which really made the drive to and from Denver more fun. This tour was outstanding, We enjoyed the beautiful van we travelled in along with 8 others. The scenery was breathtaking and many times were taken "off the beaten track" to enjoy the fall colours. Our driver and tour guide was Will and he was an excellent driver, knowledgeable, able to get the bus riders comfortable with each other and a storyteller who enriched every mile of the ride.

The Breckenridge Ultimate Full Day Mountain Tour from Denver was amazing. The tour guide was Laurel, who was a native from Denver. She was the best tour guide, shared great stories and history of Denver. She was a great driver and made sure everyone was safe, and ensure we everyone had a great time.
This tour was worth it, and highly recommend this full day tour of the greatest highlights of Denver.

Cowboy Frank was very enjoyable company. He is knowledgeable, knew exactly what we needed and when we needed them (e.g. bathroom breaks). I loved the facts about the ecological landscapes and history of Colorado and the mining towns. It was a great day out from Denver!

At first, I didn’t expect a lot from this trip because the only place I wanted to visit and knew about was Red Rock Amphitheater. The other places were more like, “ehh, why not?”. Gosh, was I wrong (so wrong, in fact)! I fell in love with every place visited. Hans, our tour guide, gave us ample time to enjoy each site, and to appreciate the scenery and every moment being there. He was fun and very knowledgeable. He made sure every person in the group (of the tour) was comfortable and happy. We were all indeed happy, and we had super fun! The time flew by so fast too. I got to learn and experience (some of) what Colorado has to offer. We stopped by various places that we wouldn’t have known about if it weren’t for this tour, AND also some popular places! Sitting at home and writing this review makes me want to go back to Colorado right now!

Great tour with Cowboy Frank as our guide. He was very knowledgeable about the history, geography, and highlights of the area. If I could change any one thing about this trip, it would be to make the time in Breckenridge twice as long. It’s a beautiful alpine town and the gondola ride was fun…just not enough time to see the town, do the ride and eat lunch. Special thanks to Frank for helping out our elderly parent. Great tour!

Disappointing as the highlight was supposed to be Breckinridge. We were only there for 2 hours! Every place to eat there is at least an hour experience. So we forgot about eating lunch so we could shop. Breckinridge was supposed to be more of the tour I feel. Of the 8-9 hour tour only 2 hours there was a HUGE let down! We didn't even get to scratch the surface of the experience because we kept looking at the time.
The vans breaks were 😬. Literally sounded like something was dragging under the van. He was saying that the ,"lady was saying if it's still doing it, they'll take it back to the shop." Ummmm, No one on a tour should worry about their lives with the van breaks acting up. I played it cool, but inside I was very worried. I think that is completely unacceptable.
The tour guide was very friendly and comical. I think he was a bit much at times though. I think if the advertising is a trip to Breckinridge, the tourists should get at least 4 hours there. I felt a bit mislead to be honest.

Had an incredible adventure on this tour ( I call it an adventure because that's what it truly was!). I went into this with the expectations of just seeing some breathtaking sites, which we did, but our guide, Will, added so much more to the adventure with his information and insights of the entire area as well as his engaging, funny, and witty storytelling. It became not just a sightseeing tour, but an in-depth history of Denver and the surrounding area as well as all the places we stopped along the way. Yes, this is a long tour and takes the entire day, but for me, it was so worth it and an incredible value for what is in my opinion a very high-level tour. Two thumbs up!!!!

Will was fantastic and had so much fascinating information and stories about the towns we passed on the way and the Breckenridge area. This was the perfect way to see a few highlights without having to hike or drive ourselves, while also getting some time to explore in Breckenridge. I definitely recommend this, especially if you want to be able to enjoy the view on the way there and back.

I had a good time and experience wi tbh Philip on this tour. I was travelling alone and made some friends along the way. We caught a beautiful glimpse of the Rockies, Georgetown, and Red Rocks. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to make it to Loveland Pass.
The van was comfortable and light refreshments were provided. Appreciated Philip narrating some of the history behind some of the places we drove past.

Yes. There was enough time for a no-rush lunch and to walk the street to do some shopping. That was enough for us.

Can we travel with my 4 and 6 years old sons? If so, they don’t pay anything?
Written January 7, 2021
In short, the answer is "yes". However, it is a long day. Younger kiddos developmentally do not appreciate nature...yet, like adults. There is a lot of time on the road. Even if they were entertained with an Ipad, it's too many hours in a confined space with other guests whose tolerances are unknown. Kiddos that young will eventually take away from the experiences for you and others. Not on purpose, their children. The tour agency will not deter you because they are people oriented, yet, I would deter your choice particularly because I recently did the tour two weeks ago. Peacefulness with children that young is a park. Not a looooong day excursion tour. Others have a right to enjoy as well.

I have a two years old child. Is she allowed to go with us??
Written October 22, 2019
I would check with the people that run the tour. But as a mother of three,I would say that this tour probably wouldn’t be for your child as bc you know how children are in and out of a van. People are paying good $ and trying to listen to the tour guide as they drive and no one is going to want to listen to a two year old cry. It is a long day both in and out of the van for several stops. If I could offer anything would be to try a shorter tour or wait until they are older. Sorry, just my opinion from a mother of three.

Do you need walking or hiking boots for this or can you do it in sneakers/trainers (some people in photos are wearing). Basically are boots needed in walking on rough terrain or mountainous areas to avoid ankle injury or falling?
Written August 30, 2019
If you travel in the winter, boots are recommended because ice and snow=wet sneakers. If your boots are comfy, wear them. Not fancy, suede or heels or wedges. Uggs could be a good alternative.
