Decided to take this tour over Labor Day weekend. Obviously, you’re limited in how much you can see of Rocky Mountain NP in just one day, but the tour gives you a good overview of what the park has to offer.
The trip started at Union Station in Denver. Once in the park, we had lunch at the Alluvial Fan picnic site and took Trail Ridge Road up to spectacular Forest Canyon Overlook and stopped for a hike around Sprague Lake on the way back.
Jed, our tour guide, was excellent and provided us with a lot of information on the geology and wild life, as well as the history of the surrounding towns and cities. Saw some elk but otherwise didn’t have too much luck with seeing wild life, but that couldn’t be helped. There are no guarantees where that’s concerned.
Overall, I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see Rocky Mountain in a relaxed and informative way and leave the driving to someone else.

Decided to join the Rocky Mountain tour as a better option than driving into the park by ourselves. We made the right decision as 1) Michael was a great guide and highly knowledgeable of the Rockies. He kept us all engaged throughout the tour and we gain significant insights while taking in the beauty of the Mountains. 2) getting into the park requires an advance permit with a two hour window. If you miss it, you will be rejected. Also the traffic for one of the entrances was backed up so inside know of the access is a big help! 3) Michael also knew all the wildlife locations and given we had only a day to spend, time well invested to catch views of moose, elks, deer etc. 4) tour paced all the toilet breaks and scenery photo shots. We picked up the tour in Boulder at 945am and returned at 5pm. Memorable experience and definitely highly recommended for first time visitors. A few areas to consider improvement: 1) Wi-Fi in the van as many areas of the park had no cell service 2) stop on way back for a beer in addition to the coffee stop on the way up!

Kyle was a wonderful tour guide. He kept an eye on the weather/cloud cover to make sure we made the most of our day. He knew all the best places to stop, spending just the right amount of time at each stop. He had a lot of good stories and information to share, as well as good music during the tour! Kyle made sure to slow down/pull over when he spotted wild life on the tour (Elk!) I highly recommend this tour for those unfamiliar with the park, because you don't have to worry about where to go or which roads are open (especially during the off-season), just sit back, relax and enjoy the gorgeous views!

Tour was very well organized and very informative. Tour Guide Paul was excellent, explaining things as he drove along, with a good sense of humour, shared lots of nuggets of information and responded to all questions of the 9 people on tour. Stupendous scenery throughout. Stopped at good places in Boulder and Estes Park for coffee and lunch. Paul arranged time for sledding, which was really great fun, especially as snow had started to fall! Great way to spend a day enjoying the Rocky Mountains. Highly recommend it. Aspire Tours were punctual and provided a well planned day trip.

I would recommend this trip to anyone, but would advise and caution prospective tourists to inquire about the vehicle before booking. Gabor was our tour driver and guide. He was wonderful — knowledgeable, friendly, accommodating and very professional!! Our party of 4 enjoyed the many stops, beautiful views of the Rocky Mountains and the information he shared throughout our all-day tour. He did everything to make this trip enjoyable for all. The picnic lunch was delicious and the stop was timed perfectly. I would have given the experience a 5-star review but could not because of the vehicle. We had a late start because the transit van was having mechanical problems and another was substituted. The van that was used had very poor A.C., no ventilation or microphone for our guide. The outdoor temps were in the high 80’s and inside the van, it felt like it was over 90 degrees — it was oppressive. In order to be heard by all, Gabor had to lower the A.C. and almost shout. Towards the end of the tour, the back door of the van (the only way out for the passengers) stopped functioning and had to be opened manually. I needed help with my seatbelt as it go stuck several times. The mechanical problems were NOT our guide’s fault. Such a highly recommended tour group should have top notch vehicles in good-working condition.

Hi Ann, thank you for taking the time to write us a review and leave your feedback! We really appreciate the insight. We're so glad to hear you enjoyed your time with Gabor so much and that you had a great time in Rocky Mountain National Park! Thank you for sharing your thoughts on the van that was used for the tour, we apologize for the mechanical issues that caused the van to be switched out. We understand the ventilation and speaking/hearing aspects aren't ideal, which is why we keep that van as a backup, but we appreciate you all being flexible! Thank you again and we hope you'll consider booking with Aspire Tours the next time you're in town!

We took a tour with Gentry. She was fantastic! So knowledgeable about the area, and also about the geology and topography of the mountains. Felt like we received a tour and education in the same bundle. The day we went was very windy (had wind warning), yet Gentry drove the bus in a very professional and safe manner and made me feel relaxed and confident that she will take us there and back safe. The best bus tour I ever took!

Dylan was on hand ‘at the flag pole’ in front of Union Station about ten minutes before 9am. From the moment he arrived, we knew we were in for a great day. He was welcoming and friendly, clearly laying out the day’s plans.
Our trip out through Boulder and up to Lyons didn’t seem very long at all with Dylan’s informative commentary and friendly banter. The sound system ensured he could be heard throughout 14-seat van (which was quite comfortable- just ask for the front seat if you are tall).
A pit stop at Lyons was long enough to sample the best cinnamon scroll I’ve tasted in North America (at the Barking Dog Café).
We then headed for the Rocky Mountain National Park and enjoyed a walk around Lily Lake. A tour through Estes Park, again with Dylan’s informative narration, saw us having a delicious lunch at Claire’s (which was a bit busy due to parts of the Main Street having to be shutdown). Dylan’s local knowledge of good places to eat meant we were not disappointed- even when our first choice was closed.
On to the heights of Trail Ridge Road and the Alluvial Fan with the weather turning snowy (still a majestically beautiful sight). Dylan ensured the pace was suiting his travellers and restrooms were being offered at good intervals.
A visit to the Visitors Centre completed our day before heading back down to Lyons via a different route. Our trip back to Denver was made all the more pleasant by Dylan’s music, a playlist that catered for many tastes.
Overall, this was the best tour we’ve done during this visit to the USA.

We had a wonderful guide, Zach, who shared a lot of great information and took us to all the places he knew to look for wildlife. He made the trip very interesting. We couldn’t have asked for anything better with regards to that. The lunch was even very good and the view while eating it was excellent. The problem is that you have 14 people crammed into a Transit van which is very uncomfortable when you have long legs. I bruised my knee getting in and out so many times and felt bad for the lady in front of me who must have felt a knee in her back the whole time. For that reason, I can say we loved the trip and know we got so much more out of it than if we’d gone on our own, but I will never go anywhere in a vehicle that small with that many people again.

Hi there,
Although we're happy to hear that you enjoyed your time with Zach, we're sorry to hear about your situation with the vehicle. We have a maximum capacity of 13 passengers per vehicle, so we're unsure why this situation occurred. We'll do our best to look into it to make sure it doesn't happen again. I appreciate you taking the time to leave us with this message, it only helps us better ourselves!

Gentry was our tour guide out of Denver. She went above and beyond in taking care of a group of approximately 14 people. We met up with Gentry at Denver Union Station and proceeded to the park. She gave us a great overview of the park and visited some great areas along with having a picnic lunch. We were able to see quite a bit of wildlife during the day. Our excursion was booked through our Amtrak trip. Would definitely use Aspire tours again.

This tour was a great way to see a ton of stops along the Rockies without worry/unknowns! Our guide Mike (Pittsburgh native- which I found great also being from Pittsburgh!) was excellent in pointing out wildlife, stopping for great pictures, allotting enough time to get out and see sights/walk around a bit, talking about the history of the park, mountains, surrounding areas, etc. I wish we could have experienced the full drive of Trail Ridge road, but it was closed at the very top due to weather. Still, getting up to 10,000ft elevation made for awesome views/pics! Making a stop at the Stanley Hotel was nice and the provided lunch/stop at The Barrel in Estes Park allowed for more than enough time to eat and get a beer. I’d love to go back in the summer to allow for some hiking, as there wasn’t much walking in the Rockies due to the April weather. Overall this was a great day and such a cool experience. I would definitely recommend this day trip!

I am planning to take the bus from Boulder and being dropped off at Denver. Is it possible?
And since I am travelling, I will have a small luggage. Would this be okey for you?
Thanks

No this is a set trip to sight see the Rocky Mountains. You either get the bus from Denver or Boulder & will be returned. I think you need to be looking for the local transport information.
We plan to go during the mid June. What kind of clothing recommended? Any winter coats?

There were 8 of us on our tour. We got picked up on time and had time to visit other locations to take awesome pictures and see more animals up close.
