My wife and I always book food tours whenever we hit the larger cities. In looking at the reviews, we noticed this was the #1 food tour for Colorado Springs, so we booked it and boy are we happy we did. The restaurants that were carefully selected for the tour were superb, the food choices can only be described as noteworthy, and our tour guide, Amber, was exceptional! She skillfully interjected local history along the route and truly knew her trivia when it came to pop culture. Don’t hesitate to book this tour as you will spend a great afternoon indulging your culinary senses and gain an appreciation for some local history.

Dan and I were tourists in our hometown as we explored the Colorado Springs food scene with Roger of Rocky Mountain Food Tours. We started at Antlers Hotel, and learned it was built by the founder of Colorado Springs, and burned down twice before it became the well-appointed western hotel that it is today.
The first stop on our walking tour was Jack Quinn’s Irish Pub. Martin, the bartender, explained that the building was established in 1883. Then we tried Shepard’s pie with grass-fed corned beef, Irish soda bread, and Breckinridge Brewery stout. (Both Dan and I picked this as our favorite dish of the day.)
Bingo Burger served their Bessemer Burger with local beef, bacon, cranberry BBQ sauce, and Pueblo chilis. Local craft beer included OctoberFest and Dopplebock, a really dark beer.
We had delicious candy apple lemonade and then jalapeño poppers at Four, the restaurant of Top Chef’s Brother Luck. Outdoor musicians played on Pikes Peak Avenue and the sun dipped closer to the mountains as we neared our last stop. Josh & John’s served their Purple Mountain Majesty ice cream made with taro and black raspberry truffles.
Although it was hard to connect with masks on, the tour was fun, and we had a friendly group of people. It was a luscious way to get to know our new town and a delightful coronavirus escape.

This was our first time in CO and CO Springs! We luckily had Roger all to ourselves as we were the only two on the tour. The restaurants were amazing and we were so impressed by the way the owners/ managers engaged with us on our visit and gave us a history of the restaurant and the owner. You could tell that they were taking time away from their very busy schedules. The food and drink pairings were amazing! Roger was a gem and, not only led us on a great tour of the restaurants with some CO Springs history thrown in, but gave us some additional ideas of where to visit in the city....especially the Golden Bee @ the Broadmoor, which we loved, and never would have checked out without his urging! I would absolutely recommend this company for any of their tours and will go back when we come back to visit. Excellent business operation!

I liked the history review that Kathy, our guide, gave us. I really liked when the restaurant owner came out and give details about their food. To make it better, I'd reduce the amount of down time between sites, and perhaps add another restaurant.

We're glad you enjoyed the tour! I apologize if the tour felt slower paced than what you expected. So many factors play into the timing of a tour, and we do our best to make sure that all of the time is well spent but not rushed. Thank you for your feedback!

We enjoyed our tour with Adam. The tour was well-paced, the history of Colorado Springs was both informative and entertaining. I especially enjoyed seeing and hearing about the public art installations. We visited five eateries. So much food. You will be full after this tour.

Beth, our guide, went above and beyond to make this tour memorable!! We sampled food at Homa Bar & Cafe at Kinship Landing, White Pie, The Carter Payne, Lucky Dumpling and Munchies 719 (try the Mexican hot chocolate Waffle.) We were lucky to hear Chef Brother Luck, Lucky Dumpling, speak for a few minutes. Highly recommend this tour!!

Wow! What an absolutely wonderful food tour! Three friends and I really enjoyed ourselves on the afternoon of 5/14/22 on the 3-hour classic north food tour of this company. It was a blast. Our guide (named Beth) was incredibly knowledgeable, professional, and had a kind and generous wit. Lively, funny, engaging...Beth is well-suited for this job of tour guide! The food and drinks were all tasty and we really liked the ice cream stop at the end. I highly recommend this great outing for newcomers to Colorado Springs or even folks who have lived here awhile. It is a wonderful learning and culinary experience!

We had a great tour with Samantha as our guide. This was actually my second experience with Rocky Mountain Food Tours and it was even better than the first time. The restaurants we visited served generous and delicious samples, and were accommodating of vegetarians. Some of the restaurant owners or staff members (especially at Jack Quinn's) had a lot to share with us about the history of the restaurant, and when they didn't or were not present, Samantha did a great job sharing this information with us. Our group was made up of both teenagers and adults and all equally enjoyed the tour. Thank you!

My sister and I booked a last minute first time trip to Colorado Springs. We always like to do a food tour when we travel and this one didn’t disappoint. Roger was an excellent tour guide. As a longtime Colorado Springs local, he was very knowledgeable about the city history. He took us to several spots we probably wouldn’t have gone to during our trip where we got to try lots of yummy food with an alcohol pairing. I would recommend this tour with Roger as your guide!

We’ve got a group of 5. Are exceptions made to the number of people on a tour?
Kelly J

Our tour had a total of 12-13 people; I believe our guide said that was the maximum. As long as there are 5 tickets remaining for the date you are looking at, there's probably not a problem. You could call them; they are very nice. :)
Can I buy a gift certificate for a couple who are moving to Colorado Springs that they could use when they choose?

I just booked for 9/27 and forgot to ask for no nuts for one person in our group. How can I request that now?
Kristin C

I’m not sure but the do ask about allergies at the beginning of the tour. Neither my husband or I recall anything that had nuts in it but of course we wouldn’t know about nut oils for example.
