- wenyifred0 contributionsOnce in a lifetime experience with Segway Tour lead by Axeman! It's rare when a place is breathtakingly beautiful, and also be shown this place by a beautiful kind soul who is in love with nature. That is what happened with Segway Tour with Axeman. Not only he was so patient with showing me how to ride a Segway and I was scarred and shaking at first, and I didn't want to come off at the end. He also took his time to show me how much love he has for Garden of the Gods. From the deer tracks, to mountain sage, from how the land formed to the history of preserving the land from wind erosion. Taking photos and videos, and I just had the best time. I can't wait to go back and visit to and do the Jeep and bike tour from Pikes Peak. Axeman we will meet again!! -WenyiWritten November 20, 2024
- Christopher W0 contributionsHighlight of our CO trip!Did the Segway tour on 9/28/24 with "Mohawk". Very fun and knowledgeable guide. The tour is about 2 hours long and covers most of the rock formations in the park. Awesome tour. Well worth the price!Written September 29, 2024

- Packergirl0040 contributionsBest tour!Having never ridden a Segway before, i was curious if this was the best way to see The Garden of the Gods. It was!! Nathan, the guide, was kind and made it really easy! This is a personal and interactive way to enjoy the absolute beauty of this amazing area. This is a must do!!!Written September 21, 2024
- sarahrone0 contributionsFun to do something different! We surprised the kids (all teenagers) with a Segway tour through garden of the gods, they were thrilled! It was fun to do something new and different. We got to see all angles of the rock formations and learn a bit of the history and other information about the formations. Loved it!Written August 18, 2024
- christinecO4946WR0 contributionsExciting and Unique way to see Garden of the Gods!Amazing and unique experience! Went with our family of 4. Age ranges 17-54 and also had another in our group who was in early to mid 60’s. Super fun and easy to navigate after our brief lesson. Our guide was very informative, professional, and helpful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! A bit pricey, but worth it.Written August 6, 2024

- Denise7040 contributionsBest way to tour Garden of the Gods!We did the Garden of the Gods Segway tour this morning. I wasn’t sure what to expect as I have no experience with segways. I knew my teenage boys would pick it up very quickly (and they did!), but my husband and I did, too. We all had a great time. Our tour guide, Bobcat, was very knowledgeable of the area and a great coach for learning how to ride the segways. I highly recommend this tour to families with teenagers as a fun, different way to see this beautiful site.Written May 25, 2024
- 302carlf0 contributionsTook the jeep tour and it was great.Great trip into Yavapai country with Wayne. Look, I live in Fountain Hills and I brought friends who were visiting from NY and who wanted to see the desert and we sure did. We saw coyotes, rattle snakes, etc. but regardless, our guide, Wayne was super knowledgeable and informative. We have guests in from the east and we're doing it again. Loved it.Written April 2, 2024

The views were spectacular while riding through the park. The tour guide did a great job giving us plenty of knowledge about the area but no overdoing the narration. I highly recommend this adventure.Written October 29, 2023

The tour was well worth it climbing to 8500 feet with stunning views of Broadmoor, the mountains and Helen Hunt Falls. Buffalo Phil was our tour guide - providing detailed local history and color throughout. Some of the roads are tricky (Gold Camp Road) where there is a sheer drop, no guardrail and little room for passing so Phil's driving made the trip even more pleasant. The tour through Garden of the Gods has only a few stops, but GOG is a half day to whole day experience in itself. Perfect tour for my wife and I to see sites in a few hours that would've taken a whole day if we were on our own.

A quick decision while at the Garden of the Gods visitor center to take one of the jeep tours as it looked like a great introduction to the area, and, hands down this tour did not disappoint! Our guide, Wild Bill, which we enthusiastically recommend, was not only very knowledgeable of the area and it's history but also very entertaining and a natural when interacting with his guests. Most importantly, Wild Bill was a very safe driver when traveling over high, narrow "roadways" which were not only breathtaking in their beauty, but also breathtaking in the stomach churning, adrenaline rush in their steepness and sheer drop-offs, especially when sitting on the passenger side of the jeep and getting a first hand look over the edge. From the tame ride through the Garden of the Gods to the spectacular drive up to Helen Hunt falls and the excitement of driving back down the narrow gauge railroad bed this is a tour one should not miss. Highly recommend this tour even if high, narrow roads are not your cup of tea, be assured if you have Wild Bill as your guide you will have a safe, entertaining tour through some of the most spectacular scenery in the area . Don't miss this opportunity!

Our tour guide was Eagle Rock and it was impressive how much history he knew and he had lots of interesting stories to tell, not just boring facts. He was very personable and a good driver and we felt safe driving up the mountainside. We stopped at some incredible places to take in the beauty. This Jeep tour is a fun way to cover a lot of ground and was well worth the money! Tip: Bring add’l layers of clothing. They do provide blankets but it gets chilly and windy in places.

This was one of the greatest tours I have ever taken. Our guide, Ringo, was phenomenal. He was excellent at explaining everything, and consistently checked in to make sure we were doing alright or if we needed a break; he even had water bottles and snacks for us. I would highly recommend booking with Ringo

Did the Jeep tour of the Foothills and Garden of Gods. Adventures out West was awesome to work with. The customer service was great as we were working around some of the bad weather they have been experiencing. Pecos was our guide and would highly recommend him as his knowledge of the area was outstanding. Would definitely use the again for this tour and some of the other tours the offer. They really do care that you have a great experience

Augustus’ tour was irresponsible and terrifying. The driver knew our friend was 6 months pregnant and chose to scare us by driving near cliffs and laughing saying previous riders “messed their pants” and he’s just having a little fun. He then pretended to scream multiple times to scare his passengers. No one was laughing.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I am so sorry that your experience was terrifying to your group. We at Adventures Out West strive to give a great tour to each and every guests we have the opportunity to have aboard. I have given the owner all the information. And we have already taken measures to make sure this dose not happen in the future. Again, I apologize for the bad experience.

This tour was fantastic! Our tour guide was Idaho, and he was knowledgeable, fun, and very accommodating. My family had a great time taking in the views and listening to the history behind everything. Idaho made sure that we stopped in the best places for photos and snapped some for us so that we were able to get some really great non-selfie family photos. He also really knew the best places to stop and where to drive through instead. We wanted to do a short and easy hike afterwards, and he spent 10 minutes after the tour with us, and had great restaurant recommendations as well. Overall, we left the tour very pleased and I highly recommend this tour and Idaho!

We took a 45-minute trolley ride through the Garden of the Gods. Our guide, Summit, was fantastic! His passion for his role was evident from his very first "Yee Haw" when we boarded, to his final expression of gratitude upon our return. He packed SO MUCH into the tour. He exuded joy, fun, humor, energy, and knowledge. This being my third tour, I know he added his own personal touch that was very meaningful. Right at the beginning of the tour, he told the story of Katharine Bates and then played America the Beautiful for us, which was a moving reminder of nature's beauty that surrounded us. There would be other times that he would play a song to fit the occasion. Very thoughtful touch! It's so easy to tell he loves what he does, and it translates into a fantastic tour! Thanks, Summit, for a great time! YEE HAW!

Best trip ever! Our tour guide Mrs. Jeannie was the absolute best as she conversed and laughed with our family as if we’ve been friends forever. She is a great driver and even if we were driving in high altitudes, I did not doubt her skills. The sights were magnificent, and we spotted a family of deers as well! This is the best experience to share with family.

My son found this place on our road trip back home for his summer college break. It was absolutely incredible! We loved it so much that I told our guide, Preacher, that I'd be back in a couple of months with more of our family on our summer west vacation. We returned and did it again, this time with my wife and younger son. Preacher didn't disappoint! His knowledge of the area along with his personable and easy going style adds so much value to the trip. We really loved the historical commentary as we visited the many sights. It was fun to learn all the little tidbits you wouldn't know of otherwise. We highly recommend this tour! The heated seats and wool blankets on cool days make it so enjoyable. They seem to have covered all their bases. You won't be disappointed.

What are the physical demands of the Jeep tour? Is there much walking especially up hills or climbing?
Written July 18, 2022
You do not have to climb on any hills if you don’t want to. We stopped at the garden of the gods for pictures. If you don’t want to get out of the jeep, you don’t have to. You can speak with your tour guide for any physical disability you might have. It was 90 % riding in the jeep
