Get a bird's eye view of one of Colorado's most famous landmarks on this private rock climbing adventure. After learning the basics of climbing, your group ascends a colossal red rock formation with coaching from an experienced private guide. The 4-hour outing is perfect for beginner and intermediate climbers and includes equipment rental for up to four people. Only a fraction of visitors see the park from this perspective.
What to Expect
Perfect for nature lovers and adrenaline junkies, this private climbing adventure introduces beginner and intermediate rock climbers to the foundations of the sport. Under the tutelage of an experienced private guide, you'll learn skills like how to select proper equipment, knot-tying, belaying, and descending. Once you've learned the basics, your group slowly but surely ascends one of the colossal red rock towers that soars above the park, which is a National Historic Landmark.

From atop the formation, you're rewarded with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains, ponderosa pine forests, and if you're lucky, a glimpse of the resident bighorn sheep herd. The thrills continue on the descent, where you test out your newfound belay skills.

Not a beginner? With more than 250 routes inside the park, Garden of the Gods offers climbing for all experience levels. Tours can be customized accordingly.

My three children (16, 11, 10) and I went climbing for the first time ever. Our guide, Patrick (the redhead!), was amazing, friendly, helpful, reassuring, and knowledgeable. Before the climb, he called me personally to discuss expectations and gave tips on how to combat the...More
