Couidnt have asked for a more killer experience with Wilderness Aware, and our awesome guide, Jake. From the time we arrived we were greeted by a super friendly front desk guy (sorry I didnt catch his name) who made us feel at ease and totally relaxed, then the most charming gentleman who was a driver and a navy vet who couldnt have been more friendly aa we were waiting. Then we met our guide, Jake who from the get go put us at ease with his laid back vibe, and clear expertise as he explained what we would be in store for. As our trip commenced Jake made us feel capable and confident, and guided us through the gorgeous Browns Canyon with a calm and reassuring attitude. Jake is clearly cut out for guide work, and we were in awe of how much experience and fortitude a young man like him had! I would highly recommend this amazing experience to anyone looking for a fantastic rafting experience. Whether youre a novice like us, or a pro, you will not be disappointed!

The staff at Wilderness Adventure Rafting was very knowledgeable and friendly. The check in process was efficient and easy. Our guide, Justin, was excellent. Cannot say enough of how he made our day fun and exciting. Very friendly and enthusiastic, clearly an experienced guide. He shared lots of interesting information during the rafting trip. Was a good talker and did a great job of encouraging the people in our raft to ask questions and talk to each other, which made the trip enjoyable. The company was very thorough with their safety talk and made us feel prepared to hit the river. Justin was great at guiding us through the rapids with plenty of action but still feeling safe, even when my son almost was swept out of the raft. Having a small group of only 2 boats and getting out on the river quickly before the other companies could get going meant we had the whole river to ourselves. Would highly recommend this company and will definitely use again if we return to this area to raft in the future.

I don't think we could have asked for a better first white water rafting experience. My boyfriend and I signed up for the Browns Canyon Half Day trip. Our guide was Gatlin, and as a bonus, we also had Jeff tag along. A "most excellent" duo.
Gatlin was very knowledgeable and led our crew safely down the river, avoiding rocks and probably worst of all, other people.
We also had a gentleman on our trip who used to be a guide (shout-out to Steve and his lovely wife, Nadine). Not only did we get to take in fun rock formations and paddle down the river, we got to hear a lot of amazing travel and guide stories.
It's the kind of experience that sets you spinning, both figuratively and literally. It feels almost painful to return to the drudgery of the 9-5 office life in the flat Midwest after such an experience. But I digress. Amazing job guys!

Full day trip and absolutely amazing! Myself ams my husband went with daughter and grandson and a great time was had by all! We got the “Be Warm” package, which I highly recommend. Our guide was Cat who maneuvered the raft like the pro she is while keeping an eye on my husband and making sure he stayed in the boat. So exciting and fun and felt absolutely safe. Emily, another guide, went with is. It was her day off but loves the river so much, she went with us. Can’t imagine anything better they could of done. Excellent trip and group! Highly recommend. Best part of our trip!!!!

Request Michael as your guide. He was phenomenal. His experiences provided for a great trip filled with lots of stories, descriptions of the canyon and lots of laughs. We were very impressed with the way he could maneuver the raft through all the rocks and twist and turns. He made our trip so memorable. We are still talking about the rapids and laughing a lot about all the silly things we did. I highly recommend Wilderness Aware to book your rafting experience. You won’t be disappointed.

Our crew of three couples signed up for the three-day Arkansas River trip consisting of three full rafting days and two nights. We were led by two awesome raft guides, Lana and Banana, that cooked for us and entertained us the entire time. Don't hesitate to request these two for your trip! You won't regret it :)

I love loved this adventure. The company was spot on with everything. Their guides were top notch and knew the River and their job. They made the day fun, enjoyable, and kept us on our toes. Our safety was in their hands and they helped us so much to become good at listening, doing our maneuvers and feeling confident in their calls. This was a bucket list of extreme enjoyment and also a fabulous workout....Katana (one of the three Cats) was an extremely knowledgeable, friendly, observant, and an on top of everything guide. She made me feel so good knowing she was at the helm. Carolina and Danny also shared in giving their all and making our whole group enjoy and learn new skills as well. We will definitely do it again and recommend it to our friends and family.

We booked the full day Browns Canyon whitewater rafting trip for 7/13/2020. My husband and kids (19 & 17) and I had such a good time. My family is fearless and I am a bit more cautious in the water, but our guide, Wes, calmed my fears and made me feel completely comfortable. I ended up having a blast and being a confident member of the crew. We went through some exciting rapids and Wes navigated everything perfectly. We stopped for a great lunch midway through our trip before we conquered the toughest rapids. We definitely will book again with Wilderness Aware Rafting.

We enjoyed the variety of water we rafted from gentle floating to class 3 rapids. Our guide Jake did an excellent job of calling out instructions as we maneuvered through tricky parts of the river. It was a very enjoyable and exhilarating experience.

Very satisfied with the quality of the guides and ease of booking. We went on a half-day Browns Canyon tour that took around 3.5 hours. I was with my 70 year old dad and 12 year old son. Both had a great time. The rapids were just right for our skill level and even though my son fell out once, everyone was quick to respond and he was back in the boat in no time.
Our guide, Gatlin from Texas, was awesome! Super nice to our family and had great commentary along the way. Highly recommended.
In July 2020 we were all wearing masks inside the store, bus, but not on the river (for obvious reasons). Very happy with the COVID policies in place.

This was the first time for my family, I have 2 teenage girls and we had a blast doing the 1/2 Day Browns Canyon afternoon. We had a lot of fun, the water was nice and cool. You will end up spending about 1:45 on the water.
