- tim t0 contributionsFirst Class Service All The WayI work at the University of Pacific in Stockton, CA and was able to take 17 students snowshoeing in Tahoe with Snowshoe Tahoe. Paul and Seth were amazing guides and their customer service to work with my group was above and beyond anything I could have asked for. Everyone had such an amazing time. Couldn’t ask for kinder people to lead you through such an awesome experience. Shoutout Rusty the chillest dog I’ve ever met!Written January 18, 2025
- 897adrienned0 contributionsMUST do if you’re visiting Lake Tahoe in Winter! This is a MUST do if you are looking for a fun winter outdoor activity in the Mount Rose area! You take a very leisurely pace as you steadily climb above the tree line, with frequent stops to see the sights and learn about the local area from your guide, until you reach an overlook to see Lake Tahoe then turn back. Unfortunately, the day my mom and I went, it was overcast so we couldn’t see the lake; however, we got to feed a lot of Chickadees! And our guide, Paulie, was fantastic - he was very knowledgeable about the area and had a very relaxed demeanor which made the trip all the more fun. Overall, as a person who doesn’t frequently hike, I would say this is a moderate intensity activity - 100% worth any soreness! 10/10 would do again.Written December 24, 2024
- EDFSFO0 contributionsSpecial experience and great staffThis was the highlight of our long weekend ski trip. Departure point is very easy to reach and close to Tahoe City. Guides were super friendly and knowledgeable about the stars and sky, using a laser pointer to point out the constellations. The snow shoes were in good condition and worked well. We wore ski pants and a light jacket for the beautiful night we went as well as water proof boots and gloves. It's a little over 2 hours and easy if you are in reasonable shape. Highly recommend this unique and very memorable experience!Written March 20, 2024
- Pdolgin800 contributionsGreat way to spend a morningPauly was a wonderful guide and truly knowledgeable about Tahoe National Forest. Not only that but he was very aware of the needs of all of his fellow trekkers. The trail has about 500 feet of elevation and climb but so very beautiful. As an option (assuming all are ok) he brings his dog on the trail who seemed to be watching out for us too. The trail was nicely packed and easy to follow - as we found out doing the return portion on our own. Truly a wonderful way to spend a few hours.Written February 24, 2024
- Eva_21_4ever0 contributionsBeautiful views and amazing experience! We went snowshoeing for the first time with four adults, five teens, and a dog, and had a wonderful time. Paul was a great guide and was super accommodating for our larger group. He shared cool facts about the forest and lake area and showed us less touristy areas. The hike itself was not too difficult especially as we were able to move at our own pace, and the view at the top of the ridge was definitely worth it.Written December 29, 2023

What a great experience! My wife and I love to adventure and try new things. We never snowshoed before and thought we would give it a try. Paul was amazing! Rusty and Brooke (Pauls pups) joined us and it was such fun having them join along. The half day (3 hour) trip was perfect. If you’re in the area and looking for something adventurous to do that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, I highly recommend Snowshoe Tahoe.

Very fun experience! I took this tour last year and enjoyed it so much I came back this year. Our guide was very knowledgeable and able to accommodate a group with varying levels of snowshoe ability. Enjoy the beauty of Tahoe removed from the ski crowds, a refreshing experience.

I had a nice experience for my first time snowshoeing. The views of the hikes were really relaxing and beautiful. Our tour guy was with a lot of knowledge about the trees and wildlife around us.

This snowshoe tour was the highlight of our Tahoe trip! Awesome views of both Squaw and Alpine, plus our guide Pauly was super knowledgeable and gave us great local suggestions for dinner afterwards.
