The kayak experience exceeded what we thought. First, it was a perfect day in the cold October and Lake Tahoe was peaceful with clear skies at 47deg F. But what topped it all was our experience with Gio , the kayak tour guide. He gave us clear instructions on how to use the oars for kayaking and some precautions in the water/kayak. He was very helpful and made our experience truly remarkable. My first time kayaking experience conquered my fear! Thanks a lot Gio! I would highly recommend this tour activity in North Lake Tahoe.

My husband and I came into town for our honeymoon, and this was such a beautiful and relaxing part of our trip! The water was crystal clear, the weather was perfect, and the views of the mountains surrounding you are incredible! Friendly staff, easy check-in/waiver signing, great location!!

We signed up for a group tour, but it ended up being just my husband and I. It was nice that it was just the two of us. Mack, the tour guide, was very nice and friendly. The water was calm and peaceful and it was a great way to start the morning.

Kayaking on Lake Tahoe was BEAUTIFUL and Tahoe City Kayak is a first rate operation. When the weather forecast looked iffy, they proactively reached out to move us to another date. They thoroughly covered safety issues before we left shore, and Si and Mikayla were excellent guides - both personable and professional. PSA: Jeans are not ideal for kayaking, and your bottoms will definitely get wet, so take towels and wear something that will dry quickly.

Our family of 4 (parents and 2 young adults) did the moonlight paddle with Simon, who was an outstanding guide! He showed us the basics of kayaking and off we went in 2 tandem kayaks, with Simon leading the way. Every so often we would stop and Simon would talk about the Lake and the history of the area, which gave us time to admire the beauty and take a short break from paddling. We felt completely safe with Simon, he was encouraging when needed and was happy to take pictures and even offered snacks. Overall just an amazing experience and we highly recommend Simon as a guide!

We had a blast with Simon and Andy as our guides. The Sunset tour was filled with comedy and history, we enjoyed the group and learning about Lake Tahoe, temperature was nice , group size of 15 with 2 guides -nice , and athletic ability-good exercise and fun.

Thomas was a phenomenal and calm tour guide for our first time kayaking. I definitely recommended to anyone as long as you are ready for a workout.

Tom (Tomas) was a calm, informed and warm guide. We had little experience with kayaking and are not particularly good swimmers, but we felt safe and well taken care of. It was a really beautiful and satisfying way to start the day and enjoy this beautiful lake. We’ll be back.

It was a great time. We took the Sunset Tour. Our guide Alex was engaging and ready to talk to. Would do it again!

Loren was a great guide, instructor and shared some interesting facts about the Tahoe Lake basin, historical sites and ecology. The lunch was good. We went on a Saturday, which was busy on the Sand Harbor Beach. In the future I would select a weekday. The water was beautiful and we enjoyed taking a dip after lunch. An exceptional tour, worth going on. Now inspired to get our own kayak ! Thank-you!

Great tour for a mixed group. My son (20, athlete), daughter (28, slightly limited mobility) and myself took the 9.30am tour. Trevor was a very good guide, and knowledgable about geology, history, and many of the colorful aspects related to this part of the lake. Nothing too strenuous for anyone who ever does a modicum of exercise. Was a great way to spend a final morning before driving back to the Bay

We did the sunset tour out of Tahoe City. Guide was informative and the sunset was amazing. Was worried about parking at the beach but you can easily park nearby and walk to it.

The Sunset Kayak trip was fantastic for our family (parents and teens)! Beautiful scenery of Lake Tahoe was exactly what we were looking for. We've kayaked before, but wanted a guided tour for our first time kayaking at Lake Tahoe. Andy was a great guide and the experience was worth the cost!

Beautiful Kayak Tour of the West Shore. We did 930 tour and it was awesome! Quiet, barely anyone else on the lake. Not a technical tour at all. My wife is a beginner and I’m a beginner+. Our guide,Julie, was patient and knowledgeable and was a lot of fun! Highly recommend! Bring water shoes, as rocky bottom that you walk through at beginning and end

What an AMAZING experience! We did the Sunset Tour on Lake Tahoe. The guides were very nice and shared interesting tidbits on Tahoe. The lake was easy to kayak even for beginners. Will do this again!
