- Jennfer M00Great tourYanez(?) was an amazing guide. When the food truck was cancelled for our location, he went and got us food. He got a small barrel tour and took pictures for everyone.
- mollyh55900Johannes is the bestThis tour was amazing and perfect for what we were looking for! Our tour guide, Johannes, was so kind and knowledgeable and really made the experience worth it. The day was very hot and Johannes continued to edit our itinerary and brought us to some amazing vineyards that he knew would be covered and comfortable for us all. I 100% recommend booking this trip.
- W3303NHsabrinat00Amazing wine, amazing tour guide! The wine was amazing--the food was great at each location as well. Our tour guide, Sunny, was so friendly and knowledgeable. It was the perfect day, worth the price!
- maryjW0RD00The Best wine tourOur wine guide was absolutely wonder his knowledge of wines and the areas was great we learned so much and ge took the time to make our tour to our personal likes I will be back
- emilygab00Highly recommend + Sunny is the real MVPThis was truly amazing!!! We did this for a bachelorette party and it was well worth the money. We loved all 3 wineries and our lunch was incredible! Our guide, Sunny, was THE BEST!!!! She made the whole trip so fun and knew so much about wine and the area! Highly recommend!
- Rsmercader00Great tour spoiled by Sunny's behaviorI went on the Santa Ynez Valley Cupcake and Wine Tour. The tour was great, and we stopped at some great vineyards/wineries. The tour guide, Sunny, was very knowledgeable but rude on multiple occasions to people on our tour. At one of our stops, she reprimanded two elderly people on the tour for speaking to the owner of a vineyard/winery. She mentioned she didn't want to serve us at another stop because "it was not her job." At the end of the tour, my group was tipping her individually (even though the tip was included in the tour price). The first person handed her a tip, and she counted it and responded, "That's it?". We responded, "Isn't a tip included in the tour price." She quickly tried to walk back her comments but didn't apologize.
- rosyl58500Had a wonderful and relaxing day of wine, cupcakes and scenery. My mom and I had a great time at the wineries! Our tour guide, Sunny, was very knowledgeable about the wineries and the area. We also had time to visit the olive tasting at Rancho Olivos and drive through Solvang. The cupcakes were sooooo delicious 🤤. The tour bus was very comfortable and the views of the Santa Inez valley were amazing!
- mercadc0000Tour Guide Sunny's Poor AttitudeThe tour itself was fine and even fun. But our tour guide Sunny left a bad taste in our mouths. During one of our stops at one of the wineries, a couple from our party struck up a conversation with the winery owner and the owner ended up taking them around. Sunny got upset that this happened and was a bit rude but the people in our party did not ask for that to happen. It was just something that happened because the winery owner was enjoying the conversations he was having with them and was being nice. There was also confusion on whether gratuity was included with our ticket prices which I admit was a misunderstanding on our part. Between when we were initially looking at prices and when we actually booked, the company decided to no longer include gratuity in ticket prices. Adding to the confusion, another party in our group approached us to make sure that we knew that gratuity was already included (which it was when that party booked) and the FAQs that are currently on the website included a FAQ on why gratuity was included. We honestly thought then that gratuity was already paid but we still decided to tip a little extra at the end. Well Sunny verbally expressed her displeasure to us with the tip amount. I totally get being upset, and I do feel bad about the confusion, but she could have been a bit more gracious about the situation as it was never our intent to under-tip her.
- daniellK8902QT00A fun day in wine country.Johannes the tour operator was great. 2 of the wineries are in high demand for visitors, and he had all reservations set in advance. Great operation.
- Geri K00DisappointingWe signed up for the Cupcakes & Wine Tour. They ended up giving us cupcakes from a place downtown Santa Barbara as an afterthought and not as a pairing with wine experience. Apparently it was baking day and no one available for this particular tour. Paid for experience that wasn’t given.
- kharas_1300A blast! This tour was the best part our trip to Santa Barbara. There were a total of 3 couples and they were a lot of fun to chat with. Johan was a great guide who was definitely knowledgeable about the area and wine. Each winery/tasting room was different but all had good wines. It was the perfect way to spend a Thursday. Can't recommend enough!
- calebmJ4470WA00Wonderful experienceWe loved our tour with Sunny! She was energetic and entertaining the entire trip. We learned about the area as well as interesting today-bits about wine. The valley is beautiful and all the stops were very intimate and enjoyable. The cupcakes were also delicious! I do wish that they gave you the option to sub wines out, like opt for all red if you don’t enjoy whites. However I believe that the wine lists are determined by the wineries, so this may be out of their control. Overall it was a great day and well worth it, thank you Sunny!!
- lorrainedS6543YZ00Outstanding wine tour!Very well organized, responsive to questions; Willing to adapt tour to our group preferences. Warm, personal informative guides! Definitely one of the highlights of our week visit to Santa Barbara!
- malloryt72700Fantastic!We had a WONDERFUL tour with Yohannes!! He was very knowledgeable about all things wine, the region, the grapes, and the history of the area. Our tour included stops at 3 wineries and lunch at the 2nd stop. Beautiful day with our best friends, and the value for the money is incredible.
- LMo31100Year One was Amazing, Year Two was OKIn 2021 my friend and I took this tour and loved it so we booked another trip and brought along our boyfriends this time. First year we stayed in Santa Barbara and the whole experience was great! Sunny went above and beyond to get us lunch, take a detour to do olive oil tasting, and have some input on wineries visited. 5+ stars! We told our boyfriends we hoped we’d get Sunny again because she was so great. This year we did get Sunny again and it was still good but didn’t compare to the previous trip. If it was our first trip my rating would be 3 stars. I’m giving 4 because of last year. This trip we stayed in Solvang and expected a later pickup which we found out would be at 11:40, but we didn’t get picked up until 12:10. We had no input on wineries and lunch (if you want to try specific places you should request when booking). Disappointing because we wanted to try new places and it was basically a repeat of last year. It was New Years Day so a lot of that was probably holiday related. We also didn’t get the region/winery explanation like last year but we chalked it up to a shorter drive from pickup to first winery. The other couple on the bus decided to not continue the tour and asked to be left at the first winery. Not Sunny’s fault, but was unfortunate because we were picked up late because of that couple. They messed up our timeline then left. The rest of the day felt rushed trying to make up the time. Additionally, stop 2 had a long food/lunch. Luckily our boyfriends didn’t do tastings because they wouldn’t have had time after waiting in line. From pickup to drop off was 5 hours. Since our hotel was in Solvang and no flexibility on wineries or time for regional education, we all agreed we should’ve skipped the trip and drove ourselves. It just wasn’t worth the money this time. A little disappointed but not completely the company or Sunny’s fault. If staying in Santa Barbara this is definitely the way to go for a wine tour, though!

The September 17, 2021, tour, left us disappointed. Only the first of the three wineries that day were memorable. The first was next to its vineyard, with drinkable wines, and very friendly servers. The next two were forgettable: one a winery and one a downtown tasting room, the wine and atmosphere at the latter two venues were lacking.
Out of control of the organizers...the tour included a very loudly talking family of seven, whose conversations droned on through the entire tour using it seemed in very sentence the words "Oh my God!!" and "like". They just would not shut up! The driver said little to describe the area or wineries as we assume he had difficulty talking over the seven...think he just gave up.
The drive to to wineries was beautiful and for us was the high point of the tour.

Thank you so much for leaving us your feedback! We are sorry we can't always control the mixing of guests in the van -- our goal is that guests walk away from the tour with new friends! We hope you'll join us again in the future maybe for a private tour with just your group.

Due to COVID, and possibly that we toured on Monday, we were the only guests on this tour. What it allowed us is an intimate experience, not concerned about other guests or their health or timing at each winery.
Hannah, our guide, arrived bright and cheery at our hotel in Santa Barbara. Gave us a rundown of the events for the day. We asked since it was just the 2 of us on the tour if we could deviate a bit and she said "no problem"!
The wineries we visited were beautiful, the staff helpful and courteous and wines delicious! Coming from the Bay Area with Napa to my north and Livermore to my south I'm spoiled when it comes to wine.
Lunch was incredible - we were able to eat at a park in Los Olivos and toured the town for a short (too short) time.
Happy to have taken the tour, Hannah was an incredible guide and I can't wait to return!

I highly recommend Santa Barbara Adventure Company! Christine was an amazing tour leader -- she was upbeat, funny, extremely knowledgeable about the area and professional. All Covid precautions were taken very seriously - and my mother and I felt very safe. I would not hesitate to book with this company.

It was a perfect way to a day in the area. The scenery was beautiful and our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the valley and the wine production there. Always fun to leave feeling connected to where you have been. And the wines were delicious! The wineries themselves very unique. We enjoyed our experience very much!

It was such a FUN experience. I went with my boyfriend and we had the best time. I LOVE that they pick you up/drop you off at wherever you’re staying, whether that be an airbnb or a hotel. All we had to do was book the trip and then they take care of everything else. The drive, the beautiful wineries, and back home. My boyfriend and I are on the younger side, (24 years old) and while most of the people in our group were older, we got along with everyone and had such a great time bonding over wine. Our guide was fantastic and the e would absolutely go again. Thank you so much!

Great wineries. Incredible views of Santa Ynez Valley. We were so lucky to land Suzanne (aka Sunny) as a tour guide. Her knowledge and enthusiasm for both wine and Santa Barbara county was unstoppable! She went out of her way to ensure everyone was accommodated throughout the day. She is fun, knowledgeable, and quite patient. The tour was beautiful. The wineries were each unique from each other and offered a wonderful taste of the Santa Barbara Wine region.

Sunny, our tour guide, picked us up from our inn in Santa Barbara promptly at the appointed time. Her name matched her disposition. She was friendly, joked around a lot, paced our day perfectly & gave us some interesting information along the way. We visited 3 wineries & had great service at all 3. Not only did we get to taste a lot of good wine, but we had a delicious lunch at the 2nd winery & a yummy peach sorbet at the 3rd winery. It was nice not to have to worry about transportation that day or anything else for that matter. Sunny took care of it all with a smile. She even arranged at the last minute for us to go to an olive oil stand & do a quick tasting. The oils were delicious & we were happy to support a local business. I would highly recommend this tour!

Dustin was an incredible guide! It got very hiy on our trip and there was minimal-to-no shade at 1 of the wineries. Dustin worked with his office to re-route us to salvage our experience which was awesome. He was calm and fun and took very good care of us.

Sunny, our tour guide was amazing. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable. It was a perfect day; the weather and the scenery were beautiful. We visit three wineries and one olive farm. Honestly the wines we were offered were less than ordinary. This was the consensus amongst the entire group, not me being picky. None of the wineries offered any type of food or snacks. Honestly, I don't think it was worth the money.
