My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the private wine tour with Rooted Vine. They offered the convenience of being picked up and dropped off at our Santa Barbara hotel in a comfortable SUV. Along the gorgeous drive into Santa Ynez Valley, Iaon shared his extensive knowledge of everything from the topography of the area to the winemakers. His passion for wine and the bounty of offerings in this area shone through our entire experience. Iaon crafted the perfect tour for our preferences and curiosity, and truly curated a one-of-a-kind experience for us. On top of all this, he was fun to spend the day with! The winery and vineyards we visited provided personalized, friendly service as well as excellent wine! We appreciated the educational component and touring of the grounds, all of which heightened our appreciation of the wine we were tasting. There are not many tours we would repeat, but this is the exception! We would absolutely do another tour with Iaon and crew, knowing each experience would be unique and memorable.

Outstanding and memorable experience! Iaon planned two days of private guided wine tastings for us and we couldn't have been happier and more satisfied. Everything was done to perfection. We visited a total of six wineries and each was different and excellent in their own way. Our tour guide Eyton was really fun to be with and easy to talk to. He went above and beyond to be helpful, by getting us our picnic lunches both days, carrying our cases of wine, and transferring them to our car at the hotel! He even took us to an olive oil tasting because we had extra time. We would not have had access to many of those wineries and wouldn't have been able to find them without Eyton. It was a fantastic, memorable way to celebrate our 24th anniversary. Worth every penny, and we'll definitely use them again the next time we're in the area.

Wow! What a fantastic tour. The locations we went to were absolutely beautiful and had extremely friendly tasting room staff. I was glad to see that COVID-19 precautions were taken and happy that we were able to sit and taste outside. Lunch was great, a lot of options so it might be helpful to take a look at them before the tour. The private tour was defiantly worth it! 10/10 would recommend

We went on a private tour for six people and had a fantastic time. The tour that the owner Iaon created showcased great wines, beautiful locations and very friendly people. But more than that, it also gave us an excellent insight into both the winemaking process and the winemaking industry in the Central Coast. It was a great day for everyone on the tour; and whether you're a wine enthusiast or just someone who just likes opening a bottle with friends, I'm confident you'll have a great time.

What a great afternoon. Iaon did all the hard work so we could relax and enjoy. Three gorgeous vineyards, umpteen delicious wines. Iaon is very knowledgeable about wine in general, with a keen specialty with Santa Barbara wines. A+ experience.

This tour was recommended to my girlfriend and I from a friend and it did not disappoint!! The tour guide Ian was awesome! We have been on a few tours but this was by far the best one in Santa Barbara! FIVE STARS!!

Awesome tour. Rooted Vine was highly recommended by our hotel, and they surpassed expectations. Iaon was superb. He was friendly. Very talkative about the area and wine. His wine knowledge and ability to explain things was the best we’ve heard. We were picked up on time in a very clean and spacious SUV. Felt very safe in the environment from Covid. He wore his mask the whole time, and wore the mask properly over his nose! The 3 private vineyards we went to were good. The wine and the environments and the servers were perfect. He also gave us recs for places to go on the following days. Overall it was a very special day in the Santa Barbara area.

We had a great time touring the SB wineries. Ian took us to 4 wineries and we also made a stop to taste olive oils. Ian was extremely knowledgeable and a great tour guide. The wineries we went to all different from each other which made the tour more interesting. A great way to spend a day in SB.

My wife and I booked a private tour for just the two of us for our anniversary. We had an amazing time. We really felt the tour was catered directly for our specific requests. We even managed to squeeze in an olive oil tasting. Nonetheless this was a great experience and we will definitely book again through Rooted Vine!

The SUV came to the hotel to pick us up. My girlfriend was sick in the restroom and I told him this. Initially he was fine. Then he started giving me 1 min and 30 second warnings as if I was his 4yr old child. Soon as she came out of the restroom we started walking towards the SUV he drove and took off down the street. I called him immediately and he ignored 4 of my calls in a row. I never heard back from him the entire day. I called the next day and he still igorned my call. He Never talked to me about resolving the issue, providing a refund or trying to provide any type of customer serivice. So basically he's unprofessional, disrespectful and rude.

I went on this tour with some friends for my Bachelorette celebration. It was wonderful. Our tour guide, Camille, was so knowledgeable. She showed us around the different wineries and gave us the history and facts about each one. And while we did our tastings she gave us our space and let us do our own thing. We also had lunch provided which was very tasty. I would highly recommend this tour.

I booked a tour with Rooted Vine Tours to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday, and it did not disappoint! I found their website searching through all the options on santabarbara.com. Their website is informative and easy to navigate, and the booking process online was very easy. When I was researching tour companies, I debated, as their price is slightly more than other tours - because gratuity is included up front. This tour was worth every penny! Our tour guide, Camille, showed up 15 minutes early and in a clean and comfortable Suburban. We picked up another couple and were on our way to the valley. We quickly learned that Camille and her husband, Ian, are the owners of the company and run all parts of the business. Camille chatted with our group of four on the way up to the valley and in that time, little did we realize, formulated a plan for the day that suited all of our tastes. Each of us had causally mentioned our taste for Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and she took us to four vineyards that were known for these varietals. This personalized approach made it feel like we really got the most out of our tour, and we felt pretty VIP. It is very obvious that Camille and Ian have great relationships with the wineries and winemakers, as we were treated very well at each winery and tasting room we visited. While they were all wonderful, Alta Maria in Los Olivos was our favorite. All tasting fees are included in the tour, as well as a delicious lunch. Camille presented us with an extensive menu of sandwiches and salads at the beginning of the tour, and we enjoyed our meals on our third stop. All of us commented on how excellent the meal was! The tour lasted about 6 hours and we covered a lot of ground and got to experience a wide variety, with different atmosphere at each stop. We even stopped for an olive oil tasting. What sets this tour apart is the personalization and customization that obviously comes from Camille and Ian's extensive knowledge of the area and close relationships with the locals. I highly recommend this tour and look forward to booking again! I know it will be a fun adventure!

Camille was exceptionally nice, knowledgeable and accommodating. Very professional from the clean upscale vehicle to the detailed service by Rooted Vines. I would book them again in hopes to visit different wineries!
