      Fun time in the rain!
We had a rare day of rain in Palm Springs and luckily had booked the Legends and Icons tour earlier. Our driver was non stop entertainment and gave us lots of information about the star’s homes as well as some humorous stories

      Joshua Tree Driving Tour
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour through the Joshua Tree National Park. Our tour guide, Isabell, was very friendly and knowledgable. The vehicle was comfortable and she gave us plenty of opportunities to get out, stretch our legs, and take pictures; while still staying within a reasonable time frame.

Enjoyed the tour and felt like we saw a lot
Our guide was very knowledgeable about Palm Springs history and shared fun information about the various homes and sights we saw. Recommend! Having read some previous reviews, it should be noted that this is not a private tour, nor do you get in/out for photo stops, but there are large windows in the van that allow adequate viewing on both sides. We felt like we saw and learned more than we could have on our own, and that the tour was worth the money.

We would highly recommend this tour. It was our first time to Palm Springs and after the tour we really felt like we knew the highlights of the town. Dee a 30+ year local, was funny and informative.

Great way to get to know Palm Springs
Annette was our tour guide and did an absolutely fantastic job. She has an incredible amount of knowledge of Palm Spring and kept us entertained from the tour's start to its finish. And not just about the architecture but the stories behind the architecture including a little bit of gossip for good measure, as well. She can be serious one minute and hilarious the next. She has lived in Palm Springs for 30 plus years and it's obvious that she loves the city and loves sharing what she knows with others. I've taken many tours of many cities over the years and never have I enjoyed one more.

Star-Studded Journey Legends and Icons Tour Through Hollywood History!
I recently had the privilege of taking the Movie Star Home Tour in Palm Springs, CA, and it exceeded all my expectations! This tour is an absolute must for anyone interested in the glamour of Hollywood from the silent film era to today. Our tour guide, a knowledgeable and passionate cinephile, took us on a captivating journey through time. We visited the homes of iconic stars from the silent film era, like Charlie Chaplin, all the way to contemporary A-listers like Leonardo DiCaprio. The blend of nostalgia and modern-day celebrity was fascinating. The tour was incredibly well-organized, with comfortable transportation and ample opportunities for photos. I was particularly impressed with the guide's storytelling ability; she shared captivating anecdotes and trivia about the stars and their homes that kept us all engaged. The highlight for me was visiting the legendary Frank Sinatra’s party palace. She is a 30 year resident of Palm Springs and includes history of the town in general along with restaurant recommendations. Whether you're a film history buff or just curious about the lives of the rich and famous, this tour offers something for everyone. It's a unique opportunity to see Palm Springs through the lens of Hollywood history. I can't recommend it enough – a truly star-studded experience!

If You Want To Experience Palm Springs This Is The Tour To Take
This is a wonderful overview of not only the old Hollywood homes and places of interest in Palm Springs but it is a great way to get around and see the City which is more than just the strip downtown. The tour guide is extremely knowledgeable and fun with lots of inside stories of the movie stars who called this place home. I highly recommend it.

      So so tour
Nothing wrong with this tour, and nothing special, thus the average rating. Good orientation to the area and fun to see where the stars lived. There were some gossipy bits to color the presentation. Tour included some info about the geology of the area. All in all, overpriced.

      Who’s Who in Palm Springs?
From the pick-up in a comfy van until our drop off, Annette regaled my friend and me with an all encompassing and entertaining tour of Palm Springs. With her overview of the architecture, topography, historical tidbits, current and future plans for the city, we really saw the big picture. However we were also blown away by her knowledge of the rich and famous movie stars past to the present. What fun to see where and how they lived going back almost a hundred years. SO MUCH FUN! Definitely the highlight of our visit. Will bring others back for a repeat. Thanks so much Annette!

Review of The Legends & Icons Tour of Palm Springs
    Pending review
We were a family group of seven ages 5 to 70, 6 adults and 1 child. It was Easter day and we were scheduled to take a group bike ride on our last day in Palm Springs. Unfortunately the temps were expected to go over 100 so we had to rethink our plans. We thought an air conditioned tour would be a good substitute. It was very difficult to find someone willing and able to to take us on a holiday, last minute and at the usual price.
We were about to give up when our concierge helped us contact Annette!
She saved our holiday. Her tour was interesting and entertaining. She included history, geography, social history, architecture and celebrity anecdotes. There was something to interest each one of the adults and there was enough variety outside the window to entertain a five year old while he colored. The length of the tour was just right.
I think Annette's knowledge, pace, demeanor, and willingness to please was what really made this tour and this holiday a success for us!

You will be on bus looking out window the entire time, and the area you tour wouldn’t really be safe for pedestrians, anyway. The views are what you’d expect, under those circumstances. You’ll hear about many stars mostly of yesteryear…The area covered is the downtown tourist portion of Palm Springs and residential neighborhood. Hour and a half was plenty. Tour guide knew her stuff, very personable.

We were so excited about this tour, and when we approached the van and I said hello to Annette and I looked in and saw other people and I said “oh I thought we booked a private tour”. Well, Annette started screaming at me. Why do you think that show me the proof People keep coming up and saying that we can’t do private towards you want to pay for all 10 seats you can have a private tour ( I guess she was going to kick the people out that were already on the bus?)
I could not believe how she was yelling at me. I just have never experienced that in all my 67 years to be honest, I told her to calm down and that it must’ve been a misunderstanding and then we got on the bus. In their literature It says you must wear a mask and when she was yelling at me, I said I don’t have a mask and she said “you don’t need a mask they’re just trying to scare everybody” Meanwhile, she had a box of masks in her visor that I saw later. I would’ve worn a mask knowing there were other people on the bus that was my bad for not getting off from the beginning (sister, and I are immunocompromised) She absolutely ruined the experience for the four of us, we would’ve been so engaging on this tour because we knew a lot of the information , but we were all just so upset and shocked by her reaction. Obviously a lot of people are getting confused and thinking it’s private. I’m sorry that’s not my fault no reason for her to yell. As far as the actual tour, she had a bunch of information, she kept holding up a book to show you things and her cell phone to show you things. Horrible experience that stayed with us all day.

Maria, When you book on line, it does not indicate a private, it says "private to semi-private and there were only 3 other guests on the tour of which we can take 16. If you and your sister are "immunocompromised" as you stated, then you should have worn your mask or perhaps you should have done your due diligence and called rather than booking on line to insure a private. As for being screamed at, that never was the case, no one raised their voice to you. If you would like the email to the 3 other guest's that went and have a different experience then you, they gave me permission to give it to you. . What people are you speaking about that are "Obviously" confused and thinking it’s private? Please send me their name's as we would like to take care of any misunderstanding. It is a shame you suffered for the rest of the day. Here is the phone # to Dr. Laura 1-800-375-2872. We wish you well.

Fun tour but rushed… no time for questions. The content is fun, focusing on homes and histories of the stars. Annette is a season guide; but this tour sounded like a taped version of a live presentation. It lasted about 1 hour 35 minutes. We thought it would last at least 2 hours. Too much $$ for the experience.

Hi Christine, I am sorry you felt rushed. We see on our GPS Annette started the tour 10min early and ended the tour 1hr 55min later, that is usually how long the tour is. Thank you for joining the tour and hope the person who was not able to come is doing fine.

The Legends and Icons Tour was a real highlight of our trip to Palm Springs. Special tip-of-the-hat to Deon in the front office. We had to switch the date of our tour so we phoned her and she handled everything smoothly, with good cheer. Service above and beyond thge call of duty. The tour itself took us through old Palm Springs, to the homes of stars of a bygone era. Our tour guide was knowledgeable, filled with anecdotes and fun facts about the homes we passed. You will be told to meet in an alley next to a parking garage near the corner of S Indian Canyon Drive and Baristo Rd. Don't be freaked out at what might seem a sketchy location (alley! parking garage!). You will easily spot the Five Stars Adventure Tours bus. We had a really fun couple of hours. It was a great way to get a handle on the city.

As was mentioned in other reviews, Annette is the best! She has an encyclopedia of knowledge when describing homes of the old time celebrities. I was expecting to see just the homes of the “rat pack” and had no ideas so many other famous stars had homes in Palm Springs. Many had multiple homes as a result of divorces! What an amazing era it must have been in those days! Annette also explained the history of the area and the various Indian tribes that lived here and still control much of the land. I highly recommend this tour - you’ll be happy you went!

The favorite part of the tour experience was Annette, our knowledgeable and enthusiastic tour guide who loves her town and loves to share it with travelers. We loved the Hollywood Colony, the old original Palm Springs locales, and the history of the area. The van was modern, super clean and super comfortable.

If you want to see shrubs and front doors this tour is for you! My tour lasted a grueling 1 hour and 45 minutes and we were basically bored out of our minds. There was no walking portion, so I don't know why it recommends wearing comfortable shoes. There were no opportunies for photo ops. We did not see the faultline or the aerial tramway. Not worth $125.00. Save your money and buy a map. I wish they gave refunds.
