Lake Louise and Moraine Lake tour - not to be missed!
Lake Louise was fantastic. Moraine Lake just slightly less stunning, but that’s a relative comment after the first stop at Lake Louise. Both lakes were fairly busy but once you get away from the immediate parking lot area it gets much quieter very quickly. These are sights not to be missed, and using a commercial operator is the only way you’ll get to Moraine Lake at peak times. We booked quite late and managed to get seats on an afternoon tour. Booking was simple. Seats were scarce, so try to book early. Pick up was pretty straightforward behind the Mount Royal Hotel. We were in a small bus, maybe around 16-20 people. Chatty and informative Aussie driver/tour guide. Drove safely. Very clear instructions about timings, when to get back to the bus at each stop, etc. Water and cookies provided at half time!

    Stanley Glacier with Rosalyn
Rosalyn was the best guide ever, she was encouraging, informative and so friendly!! The 9.4 KM hike was beautiful every step of the way and we even got a bonus hike to Marble Canyon because we did the hike in record time.

A great experience - run by a friendly experienced team
This was a great experience so see and actually stand on a glacier. The journey up was in two stages coach to the 1st staging post then the specially terrain trucks to the glacier. Good commentary on the way up on the history and geography and our driver was excellent. Views excellent from the top only negative was would have valued a little more time on the glacier.

An Amazing Day in the Canadian Rockies!
We had the best time traveling to Kicking Horse Mountain with Roz, our guide for the day. She was so knowledgeable, fun, and very passionate about the area and Boo, the grizzly! We spotted Boo playing and splashing around in his pond he dug himself! The gondola was down during our scheduled lunch time, but we were able to ride it up later, and still had a lovely lunch in a restaurant below. The views were spectacular and Roz made it so much more enjoyable! Thanks so much!!!

    The lakes
Neil was a wonderful tour guide. He gave advice as to which direction to go when at the lakes. As we travelled there and back he told many historical stories about the mountain ranges and people that visited the area.

    Stand on an ancient glacier!
It was surreal to be able to stand on a 15,000 year old glacier, drink the glacier water and take in such a beautiful spot in nature. Humbling and special. We drove up the Icefields Parkway from Banff, which is stunning as well. Our guide, Marc with a “C” was professional, knowledgeable and funny! We also did the sky view walk, 918 feet glass walkway above the valley. Thrilling! Highly recommend both experiences.

    Excellent ghost tour
Sam was super knowledgeable about the haunted side of Banff. Her stories were thoroughly researched and entertaining. She was animated, engaging, and fun. It was an excellent tour! Separately, we accidentally double-booked the tour through Viator, and Sam was very helpful in getting us a refund for the extra booking.

    Evening wildlife tour
Lively informative guide, Emma who knew her subject and most importantly found us wildlife. Emma demonstrated real respect for the wildlife at all times which was great to see. The bus however, wasn’t great - quite old with dirty windows. Given we wanted to take photos through them it wasn’t ideal. One window was completely misted up, although luckily we weren’t sitting in that one. There was no air conditioning either and given the bus was full it was a little uncomfortable. In summary, a good tour but they need a new bus with clean windows!

Half day Lake Louise & Moraine Lake tour
Excellent trip. Piper, our driver and guide for this excellent excursion, great value for money tour, was so knowledgeable about the area, the time on the coach admiring the scenery and listening to her commentary just flew by. Plenty of time given to explore at each lake. Helpful where to go tips given on return to Banff.

Fantastic day out in the Rockies
We had a wonderful day on this tour. Our guide, Kelsea, as others have said, was excellent, informative and friendly. All the locations were impressive but the highlights were enjoying the Takakkaw falls in the fresh morning air and sunshine, and seeing Boo the grizzly up close. Best tour of our 3 weeks in Canada.

A Glacier visit is a must in the Banff area and this is a well prepared company to do it!
A must do before the glaciers are all gone! Tex was a great guide who answered all questions and helped with everything from getting drinking water on the glaciers to becoming photographer for anyone on the Glacier, even if not part of his group! This was.an awesome experience. Bring a jacket and be careful not to slip on the ice!

Discover Banff Tours = High Quality
5 out of 5 stars!! Our guide Nicole was incredibly knowledgeable on all things Banff and added great historic information to our tour of these beautiful lakes. Her skills make me recommend discover Banff tours!! You're allowed 45 minutes at each lake and our guide communicated everything we needed to know! Note we did go on a rainy day, but we still had a smooth drive through Banff to Lake Louis and Moraine lake.

The rafting experience on the waters was good, while we were expecting to experience a bit more exciting rapids, the chosen course had only grade 2-3. The tour operators were amazing. In particular, our guide “Joe- from Scotland” made our trip so comfortable and fun. Joe was pleasant, engaging, shared numerous stories. Despite being new to the country/area, she was familiar with the course and guided our rafting group with ease and excitement. Thank you Joe and Chinook for a lovely experience.

Went here twice. It was amazing. Gabriel was our guide this year and made sure we enjoy each and every rapids. Gabriel let us experience how to lift someone who was thrown of the boat. Which is so funny especially with friends.

Trip Advisor's emails sent us to the wrong rafting company!!!! We then had to rush a fair distance to the correct company. Chinook rafting had great staff and we shared the boat with a wonderful group, however there's a lot of down time and waiting for a fairly mediocre rafting experience. Would recommend this trip for families with young children but it's not a great experience for adults.

Gabriel was an awesome guide. My girlfriend and I are not from Alberta and we were amazed how beautiful this place was. Gabriel was able to tell us about the history of the place as well as guide us through the waves as a pro. Would recommend to anyone, he’s the best. Very professional all the way until the end.

Our family of five adults had a great time on this river rafting adventure. First, we were provided with wet suits, booties, life preservers and helmets. After a school bus ride to the river, we had a safety demonstration. Everything was very organized despite the large number of people there. We met our raft guide Jo and she was fabulous! So sweet, fun, and knowledgeable! We were paired with another family of five for the trip. There were some fun rapids at the beginning and we got pretty wet - thankful for the wetsuits! It was an enjoyable and easy trip for all. Most of our group "dropped in" for a swim at the end. FUN and chilly! Loved the experience and our guide Jo!

Guides were great, easy to find, short bus ride to the starting point and very short after the activity. Gavin was our ship captain and was fantastic and keeping us safe making it fun and getting to know us. Much excitement with very little apparent danger.

We had an amazing rafting experience on the Kananaskis with Chinook rafting! Our guide, Rachel, was awesome - she was great at instructing the group, very personable, and highly knowledgeable about Banff in general. The rapids (class 2/3) were good for the novice adventurer - some pretty strong rapids for the first half and then a pretty chill ride the second half. Our son was too young to do class 4 (11 yrs old), which we would likely do if we went again. The whole group really emphasized safety and had great energy to make it a memorable experience.

Amazing experience today. Our guide Richard was fantastic, and had a great conversation with my 8 year old about the rocks and mountains we saw.

We had a great time the entire trip. Rapids were fun, but tame enough that younger kids enjoyed them.

The entire process was well organized and ran smoothly even with COVID. All the employees were so enthusiastic.

Guides we're informative on safety first but gave us a fun and exciting romp with an opportunity at the end for a dip in the river. Our guide was Rachel S who helped ease any trepidation an anxiety we had. Very much a fun activity for families with younger kids. If you are looking for major thrills this isn't for you as there is alot of leisurely rafting down the river. With that I still enjoyed the adventure.
